The blind cricketers from Pakistan have been given a government clearance to take part in the T20 Asia Cup in India in January.

Currently the 22nd National Cricket Tournament for Blind in India, which will act as a selection event for the T20 Asia Cup, is in progress.

The Indian cricket team for the blind made the country proud by winning both T20 World Cup in 2012 and One-Day International World Cup in 2014.

But Pakistan government's approval of sending its team to India comes as welcome move, especially amid the uncertainty over Indo-Pak cricket series as BCCI awaits the government nod for the bilateral event against the arch-rivals.

Pakistan Blind cricket team beat India Blind cricket team by 19 runs in Asia Cup Blind T20 Cup, AAJ News reported.

A 58 runs innings by Badar Munir helped Pakistan to finish their innings on 191 for 9.

Prakash’s 76 runs went in vain and in reply India fell short of 19 runs and were only able to make 172 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

This was the second win for Pakistan in Asia Cup after beating Nepal in the first group match.

Earlier, Pakistan team tied black arm bands in solidarity with victims of Bacha Khan University attack.

First of all, the players are not all fully blind. In fact, there's fixed composition in the playing 11 that consists of a certain number of fully blind(called B1 category), partially blind( called B2 category) and partially sighted (called B3 category) cricketers.
The ball that is used to play with is filled with some ball bearings so that it can be heard by the fully blind batsmen and fielders. All they do is hear the bearings inside the ball and play shots(or catch it)
The bowling is underarm (always).
The bowler shouts "Ready?" before releasing the ball to which the batsman must respond by saying "Yes". Then the bowler shouts "Play" before releasing the ball. The umpire declares a ball no ball if the timing of these calls by the bowler is inappropriate (too early or too late).

There are special exemptions given to B1 players. Every run they score is doubled before adding to the scoreboard. They can take a catch on one bounce and it is out.
