When he makes useless movies like Chennai Express and Happy New year which break box office records he gets critised for making nonsense masala movies where he over acts. But when he delivers a movie where he has to act and be tested and where he gets critic acclaim which he hasn't since Chak De/Swades he gets critised for the film box office business.

He and his fans are not able to see his downfall which is pretty evident irrespective of his acting just saying.
 
Watched fan lastnight and I thought it was much better then SrKs last few movies. His acting suited both his roles and he did well.

Actually that is not true,Vidyut Jamwal can do but he isn't son of a big actor :) also its a rip off from Indonesian and hollywood movie with the shallow girl-boy angle.

Inspite of that i might give it a try just because i want to laugh at the corny dialogue and acting.

Hoping the same, the low budget ones coming out Phantom productions are usually very good.Ugly was another good one- but I know for sure that in these movies we can never have happy ending as such.

What I like about Nawaz is that he is a versatile actor and doesn't mind doing these kind of roles. I can't imagine mainstream heroes willing to do this kind of a role. It does help that Nawazuddin doesn't have a commercial image like his more popular bollywood counterparts. The only instance that I know of a popular mainstream hero who did such a role was with Kamal Hassan in Sigappu Rojakkal. I can't imagine the Khans in bollywood or Rajini et al doing these kind of psychopathic roles (Baazigar maybe by SRK but can't remember anything other than that).

Nawaz is great actor and has eyes of Ajay Devgan ,he gives so much expression in one scene that Katrina has given in her entire career.Also he is not from urban cities which makes him play smaller character roles beautifully.

SRK did a lot of such roles initially, Darr,Baazigar,Anjaam he was into experimenting but sadly after Kuch Kuch Hota Hai ,he got the star bug issue and stuck to nonsense.

Yeah that's the problem with our cinema. Actors are open to portraying negative roles but as soon as they taste commercial success, they never look back as they fear a negative perception of them by the audience and fan following. It was the same with Rajini as well.

Rajni is the big loss in that perspective,kudos to Amitabh for doing various kind of roles but tbh he got fame initially by playing slightly grey characters.

Salman Khan in that perspective is the biggest tool of bollywood who doesn't even try to do something different,even if he tries the script is dumb ed down to accustom his terrible acting.

This is surely going to be an edge of the seat sort of film. Vicky Kaushal is also a very good actor. Probably expecting something like what Prashant did in Murder 2 from Nawaz.

Prashant is good but defn Nawaz is a notch higher,also he has that grasp on a role because he has done something similar(without being a psycho) in Badlapur.

I think Prashant nailed that role in murder 2. His expressions, the way he handled that role was not only terrifying but also had you on your toes throughout. I do feel Murder 2 was commercial but very well made crime film with Prashant delivering a mind blowing performance. That surely is the best Serial/ Psycho Killer role in bollywood to me.

I liked SRK in Darr,Anjaam as well but yes as a complete psychopath and the way prashant taunts Hashmi is amazing.

Have you seen old movie Sangharsh(Akki,Preity,Ashutosh Rana,Little Alia Bhatt) ?Ashutosh Rana was amazing in that but script was copied as usual.

Yes, I have seen Sangharsh. However liked Ashutosh more in the other film with Sanjay and Kajol. However Murder 2 was well made, Modern, Shooted in good locations and very well with some excellent performance. Emraan Hashmi was very decent as well imo. To be honest, I liked Murder 2 more than The Chaser whose remake it is supposed to be.
 
Raman Raghav 2.0 looks creepy !!!! Anurag looks like he is in his zone...

These are the movies which bring back respectability to bollywood. Anurag is our tarantino. Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin are more watchable despite their not so good looks, compared to deepika priyanka etc.

The reason for that is probably we can relate more to desi characters than the american ones.

I Saw the Devil was miles better compared to Ek Villaain despite Ritesh Deshmukh's very good performance. However, In Murder 2's case the acing performance and how it was set up was magnificant. From start till the end movie kept you attatched emotionally as well as with suspense wise with some mind blowing acting and expressions. The Chaser was very good but Murder 2 to me looked slightly better due to terrifying portryal of a Psycho Killer as well as how the movie kept going. I truly loved that movie and is by far my favorite Psycho Thriller from Bollywood.
 
Nawazuddin is really good and my favourite actor he was wonderful in manjhi and badlapur he has many films in his kitty will watch his very single films
 
Just finished watching Neerja. Based on a true story and the plane was self-built by the team.

Superb storyline and what a film it was. It's a must watch - very deep. Sonam Kapoor's acting was great in this. The whole cast was excellent.

Story is based on this exceptional and brave lady who sacrificed her young life for 350+ passengers:

Raman Raghav has been received very well at cannes and in the news it is that Nawazuddin gets standing ovation for it. Most exciting release of 2016 for me

Prashant was really good in Murder 2 . He used to act in Hindi Television serials before always did great acting.
 
now I have watched Rocky Handsome but I m sure this Korean movie will be better than this !! and yes I will watch it also

My friends are telling me the same but i have not seen one movie of Emran in theatre also it looks really fake don't know why.(Nargis can't act)

Check out Kapoor and Sons,Neerja those were good and original.
 
Some unreal reviews for Raman Raghav. Someone mentioned it as Anthony Hopkinsesque from Nawaz. I hope film does really well at Indian Box office and gets a Pakistan release as well. Would love to watch it on screen.

Most of the movies/TV shows are illogical.

If people used common sense in them - they won't last as long as they do.
 
In Start wars(One of my fav movie franchise) we hear sound in vacuum just to make it clear absolutely stupid that is.

But tbf Firefly and Gravity didn't have those issues.

Those who want movies to follow laws of science, please watch a science documentary. Leave arts to those who understand and have the capacity for suspension of disbelief.
