This is just anecdotal...i'm just wondering how it has been for others and whether their experience is similar or different to mine...
Long story cut short having tattoos has a massive effect on how you are racially profiled...I never get stopped and searched anymore...never been questioned at the airport etc...so I have taken that into account when I make the following comment ie that my background is hard to pinpoint...
I have noticed a few changes post Brexit though when i've been outside London...it does seem friendlier when people can hear you're someone from England...while I certainly sense a growth in Xenophobia it does seem at least for me that being from England seems to have some kind of unifying aspect irregardless of pigmentation...
It reminds me a little of what i've experience in Europe where it's your nationality you get judged for rather than say your colour...so being an American black guy causes you few problems while being an African can...
In no way am I condoning such behaviour but it was a curious epiphany which could just be chance...
Feels like it's better being a British Pakistani than a blue eyed blonde haired Pole...
