Not that i expected them to get involved, but i am quite surprised at their silence/neutrality so far.

Anyone else feeling the same way?

Not surprised at all.

There is no risk to Pakistan being invaded or getting hurt badly. China wants things to cool down as they have a lot of trade interests with both nations.

Of course China is acting as a neutral. This is what superpowers do - play it safe, play it with sense - considering there is only one superpower in the region.

Nothing really big happened apart from PAK shooting down the Indian plane. Why should China get involved.

All india is doing is shouting and screaming.

when anything like this happens, it stays behind the scenes and we never get to know about it, but saying that, its a conflict not an actual war.

There is no need to get involved unless of course the situation escalates further.

Pakistan has exposed the indian lies so no need for anyone else at this stage.

China does things in a silent secretive way.

Even when they lent financial help to IK government they were quite about it

Tbh don’t like China that much.

It is okay there are investing in our country but we shouldn’t give them the key to everything in Pakistan.

When have so called “friend” countries ever come to help to their allies in modern history when the chips were down? Can’t think of a single scenario.

I was answering your question, post 10.......

I said when the chips were down. India wasn’t in any major trouble during war against Pakistan.

Now if India and China enters into war, then Israel’s support would truly count.

Diplomatically - surprised that their language has been as neutral as this. But they were neutral during the Bangladesh war of independence as well.

china is the most secretive nation on the planet, no one even knows anything of there intel agency they always work in secret, you will never hear about chinas intel or army in the media

JF Thunder which shot down Indian fighter jet was made by China Pakistan. China is always with Pakistan.

Just wondering what's the threshold for some of these nations to get involved in case of an all out war. China was quite silent during Kargil too. Do these countries even care. I think they'd let us damage each other to a great extent before interfering in a big way. We should keep this in mind as we plan to escalate any conflict. We are on our own pretty much.

I thought China would show some some soft power through its statements to counter India's war mongering. They've not done that. Same with US. As much as Indians tend to believe Trump's pro Indian, he's not said anything significant in India's favour or against Pakistan.

If India were more welcoming towards its neighbours, then perhaps neighbours would step up in defence and support.

Pakistan – Obviously not.
China – Clearly not.
Nepal – Forget it.
Myanmar – Who?

India being the epic centre of the subcontinent has the potential and power to unite the region, but instead continues to isolate itself with its stiff upper lip attitude. The epic rise of Hindutva hasn’t helped at all. Modi had a chance to strengthen economic ties with its neighbours but instead bolsters India’s military, taunting its neighbours. As for Trump, why should he support India when India is prepared violate US international sanctions by purchasing oil from Iran and Venezuela?

The international community is just tired of India’s victim mentality mantra – oh look what the British did to us, you owe us, and now it’s our turn to rule the world. This gun toting arrogance doesn’t help at all.

Though I guess all is ok, because India and Israel are two peas in a pod, so the question Indians should be asking is why didn’t Israel step in?

Because of money and trade. China is eyeing India's market for Infrastructure. India is eyeing Chinese market for pharma and IT. Chinese belt road initiative has cooled down with a lot of countries being sceptical. Tarriffs from US are just a start. Low cost manufacturing is moving to Vietnam etc. China needs new investments for growth that's already slowing. India is ripe for picking. Both countries can easily trade 300 bil a year if they want to. Lot of potential with a billion population on each side and growing middle class.

These things are done behind the scenes. China is our close friend and surely supporting Pakistan in their own way. Indians trying hard to cause issues lol

There was never going to be a big war here. Had things really got heated the dragon with have roared fire at India.
