Comfortable four wicket victory for England in 2nd ODI against Pakistan

Hasan Ali is under immense pressure because Gul is already backed by Inzi, Latif, Aaaqib and others.

Man Hassan Ali is not that tall, looks shorter than I though, more like 5'9". That's not good [emoji18][emoji18][emoji18]

Atherton commented on his lack of height after his first ball.

Realistically, it means he is going to have to massively improve his batting to be a worthwhile international cricketer. His best bet is to be a Number 6 who can bowl. He'll never make it as a specialist bowler - he's just too short.

What the use of height? Is Irfan 7'5'' any better?

There are certain thresholds, I am afraid he is below that threshold, it's hard to be good bowler with that height, that too all around the world.

Babar really needs to get over this habit of getting 30-40 and then getting out

5' 9'' too short? What's the height of Wasim , Waqar, Shoaib, Sarfraz and Imran Khan?

The big guns in attendance. Mush, DNA, Khalid Mahmood, Sethi and Shehryar all in attendance.

Yeap, unfortunately lack of height is major handicap.

Good over from Hassan. I like him. No need to write off bowlers because of height.

He has to discover his strengths and just turn them into towering strengths.

If you are discounting a player just because of his height then you really shouldn't be watching cricket.

I am quite annoyed Sami's batting today. One of ten balls, is not getting your eye in, its not nerves, its not superior bowling. Its just being cowardly. I hope he gets a rocket even for his lack of intent on this ten deliveries.

on a side not, the legside wide is wicket taking option against all pakistani batsmen, as we was in the test matches.

Captain Fantastic gets to start his innings in the same way day in day out, but the youngster playing his first ODI in a year should get a rocket for starting his innings like that? Codswallop.

Hasan Ali is similar to Bhatti, short but fast. Needs to be more accurate than Bhatti which isn't hard to do.

England is favorite to win unless spinners specially Yasir shows some mazic.

5'9 is much too short unless you are your country's best bowler for a generation like Steyn or Harris.

It is to do with lift, and what constitutes a "good length".

A 5'6 bowler like Bilawal Bhatti has to get his length accurate to within about 3 inches to trouble the batsman and make it hard for him to score.

A 6'4 inch bowler like Tim Southee has around 10 inches leeway of accuracy with his length. Waqar Younis and Imran Khan were both 6'0 and had about 5 inches of leeway.

It means that for a 5'9 bowler like Hasan Ali to make it as a pure bowler he has to be twice as accurate as a taller quick bowler. And that's a very improbable target.

Already have seen 3 balls just miss the edge. In our case, we have a ball potentially touching the gloves down the legside and an inside edge onto the pads that went to the stumps. Cricket can be a cruel game.

You were advocating Hassan Ali for a while, did he not give you an autograph? not sure where he isn't big enough became a problem for you. Actually mind me, I keep forgetting you post on PP from Arkham Asylum :yk2

Luck favours the brave, we play a timid brand of cricket and naturally these iffy situations go against us

oh yes! Nice bowling from Hasan Ali, feels like wicket is round the corner

Need to finish this over well, can't release pressure yaar
