What's new

Congrats Australia on winning Ashes 2nd Test - Adelaide ( + Day 5 comments )

Man, this is fingernail biting stuff for me...easily the most exciting of the five days of what's been a pretty boring Test to date.

OzGod i don't think i have told you yet but i am rooting for ENG :(

Colly will try and play five dot balls and then go for the single.

Warney bowls a full toss to get Colly off strike.

Draw's still the most likely option at this stage for mine. We still need to make the runs. But I doubt England can win it at this stage.

Are you on crack? Draw most likely option? they have taileners at the crease now and they have to bat 50 overs still?

The aussie team can easily chase 137 in fifteen overs!

England can bowl wider deliveries or bowl bouncers.

remember still only 7down..

probably be 40 overs and 160 to chase...

I'd like to see how Hoggy bowls on this pitch first...

BBC text commentators don't look too happy

"Remind me again please, exactly why are Giles and Jones in the team?"

1412: I've witnessed some pitiful England displays in my time, in all manner of sports, but this is undoubtedly the most pitiful. No wonder Lee's team-mates have started sledging him, I reckon they feel sorry for England. Collingwood gets a single and Hoggard has to survive the over from Lee. He jams down on a Lee inswinger before Lee goes up for a big lbw appeal, but it hit Hoggard in the jaffers. And the last time I checked, Hoggy's jaffers aren't attached to his shins. 98-7

Warney screwing around with Hoggy's mind, shuffling the fielders around...

LOL McGrath has been loosening up for about 6 over apparently. :)))

And Warney strikes again, clean bowled Hoggy!!!

that was funny when Tony Greig mentioned it. Ponting must be avoiding eye contact with him. Lee has been bowling really good so can't fault him

collingwood takes single off Lee!

5 balls to survive from Harmison....maybe some slogging in order!

This is my 2nd last semester of B-school and I'm supposed to be studying for my finals at the moment. :)))

Same here :))) but at least you are an Aussie so since your team is playing you have a genuine excuse...My excuse is 'oh cricket is on'

Colly needs to start to play some shots now and push the target up if England are to ahve a chance. I can't see him blocking for the rest of the match.

Geez Warney's some kind of competitor though. After getting flogged to all parts of the ground on Days 1 and 2 he's bounced back. To think I wrote him off after his drugs ban, I thought he was finished.

I cannot belive how negative England have played today. The only thing on theru mind was defense, and lets just play it out. No attempts to play shots at all, negative thinking might cost them the match they were in control of about a day ago.

it also shows how weird this game of cricket is!

Loosener from McGrath that Gilly failed to hang on to. Throw hit the stumps.

17 overs till tea. That's England's target.

Geez the bounce is getting very variable.

harmison lbw!

doesn't play shot! - not a good decision! too high!

collingwood should start blitzing!

44 overs left!

And McGrath strikes! LBW rapped on the pad without offering a shot, Harmy is gone. 9-119, 9-157.

Unlucky for Harmy, Hawkeye said going over the stumps but I guess he offered no shot and was caught in front.

Colly takes the single and leaves Anderson to face Warne.
