I am so glad SRT scored it against a minnow. Had he scored it against Pakistan then the epic PCB vs BCCI scene in the sequel would be lost, along with the continuity of the story across 3 parts.

The flow of the story is now Gold! It looks like Hitler's generals did finally buy SRT his 100th 100 against a minnow

Tendu's century might hurt India badly here. They are struggling to reach 280 here when they should have score 300 plus runs. On this very flat track and considering India's weak bowling, BD has a good chance!

yeah it was.

Not normally a Tendulkar basher, but yes he played slow by his standards today. Lucky raina upped it from the other end. Tendulkar held off accelerating until he got the century.

Still well done to him, better do that sort of innings here, then in a crucial match in the finals.

I think he lost a lot of money betting on SRT not scoring 100 sometime back ...

I think Tendu played a bit slowly because the opposition was Bangladesh so he wanted to get this monkey hype off his back at any cost . Lets just win this match and you will see a new Tendulkar in the next two Odis.

And yes even my fb is all flooded with congratulatory messages for Sachin, even a couple of celebrities have updated their status with respect to Sachin .

And its all over the news channels as well .

He wants to be known for his Sachin bashing, and he's got to maintain that identity. Hell, why do you think he wastes time making videos about it? Personally, I think it's all a bit pathetic. But if ripping on Sachin makes him feel big and important on the Internet, then by all means, let's give that to him!

i hope so. Because this isn't the tendu whom i used to watch and admire.

While getting to a century, it is acceptable if a little bit slow down but.... He was slow right from the word go. Let's hope he atleast plays for the team in other matches and not put the burden of increasing run rate to raina, dhoni....
 
A request to SRT

First of all congrats on scoring your 100th 100 :14: You are a champion.





Now that the monkey's off your back , would you please go back to 1998 mode? Every thing has been achieved now. In your last few days as a Cricketer we just seek entertainment and nothing else. Just like how you entertained us back in the 90s.

No more pressure on you from now on. Please enjoy your batting, play your shots like there is no tomorrow. Thank you :)

Deep down they are dissapointed SRT scored his 100th 100 against a minnow. Truth is, it was the only way, and you know what they say about the truth, it always hurts.

Pathetic. He is now 39 at the fag end of his career and the final lap of his career is used to dub him minnow basher. None of your batsmen at that age may be able to hold a bat in the hand much less score a 100. He did reach 90s during this time, why you ignored that?

It doesn't really matter that he scored against a weaker team. A century is a century and we may never see this emulated. So it has to be celebrated.
 
As somebody has rightly pointed out Wasim's 500th came against Holland, and in a disastrous World Cup for us too. Of course a hundred against Pak or Eng or Australia would have been more fitting and more memorable but its honestly not a big deal.
 
Tendu must have got sick of the media hype and decided to prioritize his 100 over the team but he is going to be a different player from now.

yup. Its a good thing that the monkey is get off the back now. I just hope we win this match. Dinda, kumar, jadeja.... With that bowling, this isn't a good target. I guess we are atleast 20-30 runs short.

Well if we cannot defend 290 against Bangladesh, we really shouldn't be blaming a batsman. 290 to me is a defendable score against any top oppopsition. Though i would definitely call it a selfish hundred but a deliberately selfish one. This i guess was the motive behind playing him in Asia Cup. To get done with it and move on. Dhoni and Team management would be happy i can tell you that.
 
had it come against a better team indians would be feeling completley different, atm there is feel of guilt mixed with relief...
