What's new

Congratulations Sachin Tendulkar on hundred 100s! [Finally!]

you very well know Bangla series is around the corner :P
got 5 centuries vs Bangla in tests ( and none in ODIs )

11 against Australia. SIX of them in Australia so he has a better chance of scoring 100th century against them than Bangladesh. STFU you mickey mouse cricket lover.

That was a beautiful innings last night, when Tendulkar plays like that even today there is no better batsman to watch than him.

You didn't even watch his innings live yet comes up with silly posts like this. Even neutrals (excluding few Pakistanis) who watched him bat today would agree it deserved a ton such was his authority at the crease since tea.

again i think i touched some nerves of a Sachinsta :))).
anyway nothing surprising that it comes from a well known clown of a Sachin Defense force. :)))

i was merely pointing to A_R that he will score his 100 atleast against Bangla ( well he was claiming that he will end up with 99 tons for fun )
probably your brain stops working when you read something about teenda :P

PS:-
You gave two reply to the same post. Guess you forgot that you replied to my post b4 out of anger or frustration..
cool down dude, nothing to worry .. sachin is still 38 he wont retire until he scores his 100th 100

I dont hate Sachin, but i hate some ultra sensitive clowns like you.

The BCCI must be devising a plan to shut this thread down as we speak.

Milestone century playing on Tendulkar's mind: Hughes

Milestone century playing on Tendulkar's mind: Hughes

The hype surrounding his 100th international century is playing on Sachin Tendulkar's mind as he continues to miss the milestone, feels former Australian fast bowler Merv Hughes.
Tendulkar fell just 27 runs short of the feat when he was done in by a beauty from Peter Siddle that went
through his gate and hit the stumps with the right-hander looking on course for a big knock in the first innings of the ongoing first Test against India.

"Everyone's making it (the record) a big deal and there's been a lot of media about it as he's been on the verge for so long. It's got to be playing on his mind, there's no doubt about that," Hughes said.

Hughes, however, was of the view that Tendulkar was at his vintage best during the knock.

"It's nine months since he's scored a hundred, that's like me not eating for two days," he joked.

"We've heard talk of choking...he batted really well, he was really positive, and then I suppose late in the day it looked as though he just shut up shop so he could be there tomorrow," the 50-year-old former pacer told 'Fox Sports'.

Hughes compared Tendulkar's situation with that of former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting, who gave a new life to his career with a gritty 62-run knock during the first innings.

"Ricky Ponting has scored three 50s in his last five knocks and people are saying he should be dropped. Tendulkar, OK, he's not getting a hundred but he's getting 60s, 70s and 80s and then falling short of that magic mark,
" Hughes said.

"If I made an 80 in Test cricket I'd be absolutely thrilled but people are saying to Tendulkar, 'bad luck'."

Hughes also voted in favour of the controversial Decision Review System, and criticised the Indian Cricket Board for its reluctance to use the technology.

He said the ICC is a puppet in the hands of BCCI and the DRS will never see the light of the day on a compulsory basis unless India agrees to it.

"If the players can't use it, I can't understand how the umpires can," Hughes said.

"For a ball that close, if he doesn't call it, why has the umpire got the ability to go to the review system when the players don't?

"Everyone's saying that the ICC should come over the top and make the decisions. Ultimately, everyone knows that the ICC is run by Indian cricket, so if India don't want the review system, we're not going to have the review system," he added.

Just let him get his 100 already. I feel sorry for him. He must be going nuts and ripping his curly hair off. I'm afraid he'd turn to alcoholism soon at this rate.

he should retire with some dignity.......if he had any he would have stepped down after the WC on a high.....selfish guy is just playing for records

Hussey fears Tendulkar milestone

Australia batsman Mike Hussey is worried India’s master batsman Sachin Tendulkar will score his 100th century in the second Test which begins in Sydney on Tuesday.

Tendulkar has been on 99 Test and one-day international centuries for nine months but Hussey believes fate could mean he will reach the landmark at the SCG as India bid to level the four-match series.

The match is also the SCG’s 100th Test and is at a ground where Tendulkar has found his best form outside India.

In four Tests at this venue the Little Master has scored 664 runs at a remarkable average of 221.3.

“I am a bit nervous because the stars seem to be aligning with Sachin needing one more hundred, the 100th Test match in Sydney and he’s made runs here before,” said Hussey before the Australians trained today.

“It’s a special occasion – it’ll be an extra special Test to be involved in - but I can assure you everyone in our dressing room does not want him to make a hundred and we’ll be doing everything we can (to prevent it).

“It’s a little bit ominous but hopefully we can wait until just after this series and he can get a hundred in the first game of the next series.”

Tendulkar made 73 and 32 in Australia’s Boxing Day Test win at the MCG, losing his wicket in both innings to in-form paceman Peter Siddle.

Hussey is backing Siddle, Ben Hilfenhaus and James Pattinson to bowl the home side to another win at the SCG.

“Our bowlers in Melbourne did an outstanding job, not just to Sachin but to all of their batsmen.

“They have one of the best batting line-ups ever and the plans that we set and the way we executed were second to none.”

India’s Rohit Sharma, meanwhile, feels he is ready to make his Test debut at the SCG in place of Virat Kohli who scored 11 and 0 at the MCG.

“I don’t want to be unprepared. My preparation has to be 100%. It doesn’t matter if I am playing or not. Preparation has to always be the same,” Rohit told www.cricinfo.com.

India want to put defeat in the first Test behind them by levelling the series in Sydney.

“We don’t want to think about what has happened. We need to focus on what we have to do now. The process is still on. Hopefully things will turn around for us,” Rohit added.

“We spoke about what went wrong, and what we need to do, and stuff like that. Which always happens, whether you win or lose. That is nothing new for us. As I said, we need to keep doing the right things.”

Smart tactics by Mr. C, he has studied this thread well.

I would like to OFFICIALLY offer my congratulations, a 100th 100 looks to be a formality today...

He is on his game today, Today is Teendus day I reckon. Just gave him the 100 ICC because the way he is playing it is forgone conclusion.

As a UK PPer, sleep awaits me.

When I wake up, either Tendulkar will either have his 100th 100 or will have failed again after getting a start and looking good (so far).

Something tells me he'll get it this time...

Going to sleep soon so might as well get my congratulations in early]

Congrats Sachin, an amazing achievement

Will we ever produce a batsman to score 100 hundreds like sachin will in Sydney?

what a day to get a 100th 100 on the grounds 100th match. Well Done tendulkar, you've finally done it! Congrats to all Indians

Last was in March...Had 4 to 5 nineties after that...always looked in form ...but this 100 is evading him..

Even today he was playing well...wickets dropping around him did him again...

Ye kya ho gaya yaaar.. bhagwan phir bowled ho gaya :O?

just to go with the flow :))):))) :)))

I think he'll end on 99 unless he plays ODIs.what pisses me is he is wasting starts:pissed:

He is actually looking in good touch...either he gets himself out or his team mates go around him creating pressure...atleast he is not out of form

what use is that form if wastes starts again n again.if he is in form its his job to convert to 100s n get a decent score

He won't end on 99, the guy won't retire until he gets it

If he does not get in Australia don't be surprised if India hastily arrange a series with Bangladesh
