Could Australia of 2000-2008 chase a target of 250-260 in India on the 4th or 5th day of a Test?

Nowadays teams struggling to chase 200. Could AUS of last decade chase down 260 against India in India/Asia?
Discuss.

Forget 200 on day 4/5, they could not chase 105 on day 3 in 2004 at Wankhede. Pitch was a proper minefield from day 1 though.

India chased 380+ on a dead Chennai pitch against England in 2008. No reason why the Aussies of 2000s can't.

On a flat pitch they have a chance. On a rank turner, I don't think they would.

Not on a rank turner, they failed to chase 105 on a minefield where Clarke took 6/9 with his innocuous spin

Did you watch that match and that particular innings . It was a minefield , very difficult to bat . Rain played its part too and murli kartik was excellent with his left arm spin .That innings ‘ chase can not be used as a reference in my opinion.

There are actual examples where they failed to chase even 200. On turning tracks, they didn't have skill to chase.

4th innings run chases weren't a specialty of that otherwise legendary team. So NO !!!!
