Hasnain gets the wicket of Babar. Nice to see after giving up only 1 run in his 1st over.

Hasnain bowling well in his first spell today.

Great first over from Dahani . Pakistan really has one of the best pace battery for T20. Overloaded with options

Aesthetically Qasim Akram looks very good.

A crazy good 57.75 average with a 101 SR in 12 List A matches so far. Very impressive.

I'll be interested to see what his bowling looks like but man, Qasim looks like a proper batsmen.

A bit unlucky to get out on the ball that kept extremely low. Hope he is given a chance in PSL.

It's wild how Hasan can just come at the crease and start hitting powerful clean sixes. He is very Afridi like.

PCB really need to invest in the DRS system

This is unforgivable

One of the best upcoming young batsmen we have.

Good spell by Abrar, but his figures have been ruined by Hassan’s 2 sixes

Uh oh

Shoaib Malik playing himself into the T20i squad after being absent and discarded for 2 years

Umpires getting a mouthful from the crowd.

Natural as they were enjoying Hassan’s hitting and disappointed after a questionable decision. Hassan is one of those stars people come to watch

Impressed with how Dahani doesnt take much pressure even if a batsman has scored a couple of boundaries and is going all out

Malik versus Sindh at the moment.

Impressive bowling once again from Dahani.

They need to stop bowling Hasnain in the death. He clearly keeps struggling and doesn't really understand what line or length to bowl at.

You can’t be picked for international cricket if you are good with the new ball but a disaster with the old. At least be decent . Hasnain is not

Have to say Malik has played well here and Raees gas been so impressive considering everything with his body

Some of the shots were Malik good batting rather than Hasnain bad bowling.

Hasnain has been poor throughout the tournament really.
His lack of control is so visible. Malik who is not the greatest hitter against fast bowling has taken him to the cleaners

Qasim Akram can be tried against two lefties

Babar is picking up Sarfaraz's captaincy symptoms, moaning at bowlers for every bad ball.
Wahab still champion bowler.

Must say i am really impressed at the potential of Qasim Akram. He bats with shades of tendulkar in his technique and seems to be a good attacking spinner as well.

What I do not understand is why Malik hardly bowls, especially when he wants to get in Pakistan team. If its his captains decision, surely Babar would want to see if he would be usefulfor an over or two if he is selected and need arises to bowl for a full time bowler who is having an off day.

Shoaib Malik produced a stunning assault in the death overs of the Home City Central Punjab innings to spearhead his side’s 12-run win via the DLS method against GFS Sindh in the 16th match of the National T20 tournament played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on Saturday night.

Set a 169-run target following Shoaib’s brilliant batting effort, Sindh stuttered to 110 for six in 14.4 overs when rain arrived for the second consecutive night. Sindh were 12 runs short of the par score at that stage of their innings, a ball before the rain interruption in a repeat of last night’s match, a wicket was lost.

Anwar Ali holed out to Wahab Riaz off Sameen Gul as Sindh searched for quick runs with the mounting asking rate.

Sindh openers Sharjeel Khan (36) and Khurram Manzoor (14) had provided the side a brisk 48-run opening stand. After Khurram’s dismissal, Sindh lost Shan Masood (12) to Wahab Riaz with the score at 76 in 7.2 overs.

From 76 to one, Sindh crashed to 110 for six, off-spinner Qasim Akram took three wickets for 20 runs in a match winning four-over spell. Sameen took two while Wahab took one wicket. This was Central Punjab’s third win in five games and their first ever against Sindh in the revamped six-team National T20 tournament which is in its third year.

Earlier, a sensational unbeaten 85 by Shoaib helped Central Punjab recover from 105 for six to a 168 for eight total. Central Punjab had lost wickets at regular intervals to stutter to a poor position before Shoaib rescued the side with an audacious batting display.

The seasoned Shoaib posted the 67th half-century of his T20 career and went into the top gear in the last two overs of the innings as Mohammad Hasnain conceded 22 and Rumman Raees gave away 14 runs off the 20th over.

The right-hander hit eight fours and five sixes in his 47-ball innings. Shoaib added 42 for the third-wicket with Ahmed Shehzad who contributed a run-a-ball 35 (three fours, one six). The two had come together after the early loss of captain Babar Azam (12) and Muhammad Akhlaq (7).

For Sindh, Rumman collected the second four-wicket haul of his T20 career. Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed took three crucial wickets despite conceding 39 runs in his four overs.

Scores in Brief:

Home City Central Punjab beat GFS Sindh by 12 runs on DLS method.

Home City Central Punjab 168 for 8, 20 overs (Shoaib Malik 85 not out, Ahmed Shehzad 35; Rumman Raees 4-33, Abrar Ahmed 3-39)

GFS Sindh 110 for 6, 14.4 overs (Sharjeel Khan 36; Qasim Akram 3-20, Sameen Gul 2-15)

Player of the match: Shoaib Malik

Qasim Akram is a real talent!

I would not rate him at any thing yet. One domestic t20 match should not make any selectors sit tight. Just raise the eye brows and note down, a player to watch. Nothing more.

He is 18 years old, I dont think recognizing him as a decent talent is equivalent to asking for his inclusion in national team.

Its a fact that he is one of the best young upcoming batsman/ batting all rounder in Pakistan. Was really good in Pakistan cup last year as well.

Obviously no one can predict future. If he keeps on doing he will he will come in the radar in coming years.

I agree with you but, Appreciating a good performance and commenting on someone’s possible potential doesn’t shouldn’t be considered as hyping a player. As its a cricket forum obviously players are going to be discussed however, some critics call it hyping which is completely wrong conclusion.

Babar’s decent captaincy and open minded approach deserves a shout out today.

Qasim Akram in 1 more season should be taking the role of Muhammed Hafeez

Yeah I don’t think he is the type who can be hyped but i was very impressed with his off spin today in a pressure situation. He looks like he can bat as well.

A lot of these players have it in their hands to become something useful for Pakistan for the next 2 decades if they continue to work hard and not become overconfident.
