Nah.Do you still want CR7 at the club? how sad if he stays. In my view, if he does, he should only play in the PL and FA Cup
Very silly of Utd to not allow Ronaldo to leave.
Any high profile player who doesnt want to be at a club, will be a problem for the whole team.
Utd host LFC in the 3rd game, this will decide how Ronaldo acts. A win for Utd could see a revival , a defeat, a heavy defeat will see turmoil.
Their team is a shambles, they have IPL superstar mentality. The one bloke who shows up and has a proven record and legit work ethic was scapegoated as the problem, they are a right mess. No other club would have held on to CR7 and respected his wishes, the club needs a serious reality check.
Yep, they wont recover from another hammering but they are use to it now and have no shame.
I don't think he will get his own way with this new manager. He doesn't seem the type to bow down to Ronaldo's every wish.
Only a substitute today.
Ronaldo working hard to get to right fitness levels'
Man Utd v Brighton (14:00 BST)
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, speaking about Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench: "He is working really hard to get to the right fitness levels. That will take time, it is normal. He started pre-season last week."
How soon will he be fit enough to start? "I cannot say, it depends on how quickly he is progressing. He will do everything to get to the fitness levels as soon as possible."
United need to cut their losses with Ronaldo. His attitude and presence only adds to the toxicity around the club, especially since everyone knows how hard he is trying to leave, and they scored far more goals as a team the year before he came anyway.
Should instead focus on getting hungrier, more impressionable players that Ten Hag can mould his philosophy into rather than entitled superstars who think they're too good to be there.
Cristiano Ronaldo drops to the bench along with captain Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Fred.
Surely this must be the last straw?
Man U have been the better side this half, deserve to be in the lead. Liverpool’s defence has not been at the races all season thus far and it’s looked poor again here.
Also henderson milner have zero creativity. Eriksen controlling the tempo.

Poor of him to walk down the tunnel before the end of the match.
As a senior pro he should be setting an example for the other players, instead he's acting like a spoilt brat.
The sooner he leaves Man Utd, the better for the club and the player.
He’s the greatest of all time, they should be falling at his feet and put him on a pedestal, and if not politely part ways. Instead the bald nutmeg is using CR7 as a tool to stamp his authority and make an “example” out of a legend for the sake of it, am sure there are other ways for the manager to do that. All great players have huge ego’s, it is what makes them the best, their approach is unique as is their mentality, it’s similar to that of a spartan or an Olympian, CR7 has high standards and this is an awful episode in his career, if he’s not on the pitch and not contributing, he wont go and smoke a joint or party like Jack Grealish with the lads in the name of team spirit, he is going to be cross with himself. Very few managers are able to deal with players who actually require good management, this Hag fella we will see where United are next season once the honeymoon period is over.
What I find interesting is the ex-united pundits like Rio and Roy Keane, sticking up for Ronaldo when they have been saying the complete opposite about every other player for years.
I think Rio is an awful pundit in general but I'm quite surprised that Keane is happy to put his principles aside for his mate.
Ronaldo's agent went round with the begging bowl in the summer asking any and every club to take him. Only offer he got was from Saudi. He needs to realise it's going to be very hard to even get a move in January with no suitors, so these antics are not helping anyone.
Just shut up and do as the manager tells you, like every other player. This clearly must be an alien concept to him.

I don’t understand why they wanted CR back. He’s striking only every 346 minutes on the pitch compared to Rashford’s 199 (and Rashford is top of the board for assists too, ahead even of Eriksen).
