These two are doing a good job but they need to push it along a bit - powerplay 2 is in effect!

Luck be an Englishman tonight. If we get to 100 without loss i hope Bell and Strauss are knighted.

You raise a good point. Maybe Damien Martyn should get one too.

seeing how giddy evertonfan and rob h are right now is pure entertainment.

lets go england i hope these two don't put too much of a partnership becasue i picked
KP to be MOM

Oh believe me it won't last. As soon as one of these gets out we'll be skittled for less than 200.

I'm just enjoying this while I can. :D

It's even better because you two are so surprised it's actually happening, you refuse to state that it will last.

Anywho, watching Mcgrath was awesome. Nothing says professional like throwing the ball at the stumps for no reason.

Yardy better not come in at 4 now. He'll negate any momentum we have.

Oh dear, Watson strikes and this is where the collapse begins. Bell must be humiliated after falling to such an average bowler.

Pietersen in before Flintoff. Let's hope KP carries on from where he left off against Australia. Lets hope he dismantles Watson just like Sehwag did in the Super Series last year.

He did all the hard work against Lee, McGrath and Bracken, but gets out to Watson. Real shame

Getting out to Watson is a cardinal sin !!

Bell should be reprimanded

:12:

Spot on. He must be gutted.

What did I say about a collapse? KP goes and i'm witnessing an almost identical situation to what happened in South Africa in the WC group game in 2003. No doubt Yardy will be brought in to 'consolidate' when in actual fact, he is just blocking.

I can't beleive that it's these two park bowlers who are doing the damage.

Great bowling by Johnson there, set him up with a short one and followed it up with a length ball swinging away a touch. He looks a good prospect for sure

Typical England, typical Pietersen. Probably end up with 180 all out now.

Where would England be without Strauss? If he stays in and we bat the full 50 then we might have a decent score today.

freddie should just wait another 4-5 overs till spinners come on

then start slogging,

he needs to rest those ankles so he shouldnt run

well thats my opinion at least

england really need vaughn back

i cant see yardy and dalrymple in international scene for long

it is way out of their league

Just seen the two dismissals. Very soft from our two key batsman on the day (Pietersen for being Pietersen, Bell for being on 43). Don't know why Bell was trying to smash one over the in-field from a new bowler. Should have waited a few balls.

England gifted their wickets to Australia's worse seamers, Johnson and Watson.

That was a good shot from Strauss, though. Races away for 4.

Fred's gone, England have gone, the ICC Champions Trophy has gone.

Why on earth are we just giving Watson wickets? For heaven's sake England, if your gonna get out then get out to the good bowlers instead of these useless park cricketers!

Watson strikes :)))

Freddie holes out to Hussey, falls to the hook shot.

By the looks of the scorecard, it looks like Lee has bowled very well.
How is the pitch playing?
Watson strikes!
Flintoff out!

Lol it was funny because we all posted posted at exactly the same time.

Why does everyone from England always bag Watson?
He is still young and it will take time for him to be a real force in International cricket.
He has shown is potential and is using it now to take some crucial wickets.
Lee has only ovres left.
Will they bowl him out or leave him until the end?

We bag him because he's been on the scene for a while now and he is made out to be an allrounder when in fact, he can neither bat nor bowl well.

I think he needs to swing the ball more but he can get the ball up there at aroun 140 clicks.
Lee bowls a maiden.
3/110
27 overs.

Lee has nice figures of 0/22 off 8.

Strauss goes and i've completley lost faith in this England side. Why the hell are we physically incapable of building on a good start and batting out the full 50? England are a shambles. I'll tke 190 from here.

Strauss departs cutting into the hands of Gilly, england 4 down and having a mini-collapse here.

Typical england, typical typical typical. 125 in the last match looks good compared to what we're going to get now.

It's a shame too, Aussies were in trouble with their bowling options in a few overs.

Yardy goes now, that didn't look like it clipped any bat or glove, unlucky dismissal down the legside to Watson, england 5 down now.

This is a disgrace; We played so well against Lee, McGrath and Bracken and now the Aussie park bowlers are getting all of the wickets. Let's just hope the good Mahmood turns up today or this game is over quicker than you can say 'Australia 5 England 0'.

4/125
31 overs

Current Batsmen:
Collingwood 6*
Yardy 4*

Current Bowlers:
Symonds 1/11 (2 overs)
Watson 2/10 (5 overs)

Watson gets his 3rd!
Yardy gone for 4!
Gilly's 3rd catch!

It's like I said before, this is game is almost identical to the game of 2003 when we needed to beat Australia to have a chance of qualiying for the Super-Sixes of teh WC. We started brilliantly but as soon as one wicket fell, they all did. ::J

An absolute joke again. To be 80 for no loss and slump to this is unacceptable.

I feel sorry for Collingwood; The amount of times he has had to rescue England in the past is bloody rediculous. Oh well, let's just hope we bag a few early wickets to be have a chance.

Collingwood and/or Dalrymple are digging us out of a hole with the bat every week now it seems. If if if if they were to put on a hundred, the game will be a contest.

What the ...!! Who the ...!!!

I left home for a shopping trip with England sailing along - just login and see this mess !

Harmison better have something special up his sleeves or its British Airways to Heathrow tonite...

The only consolation is that McGrath's bowling has looked even less threatening than England's batting sicne his return. Bet he comes back and takes a 5-fer though!

That was a good catch by the skipper. Poor shot to a slower ball i think.

Bye bye Dalrymple :| been good nagging stuff from Johnson today.

Johnson gets his 2nd!
Dalrymple gone!
Ponting takes the catch.
England looking like a pile of **** at the moment.

Have Australia actually bowled a good ball to get us out yet?

Johnson set up Pietersen pretty well, apart from that the kamikaze batting on show today after the first 15 overs has been unacceptable.

England have now lost 6/51 in 16 overs.
I wish I could watch this match.

McGrath strikes. Superb line and length suckering him in to playing. Te old act got it right.
