Daryl Tuffey Brewery Takes Aim At Pakistanis

This is a difficult situation because you don't want to give this whole thing more press but also the fact that an beer company is using YK and Afridi in an advertising campain and impling they are fixers is not on. YK especially is known as a clean player plus both are religious and I doubt they would want to be associated with this.

I am suprised pak media did not make it a issue still. it is downright pathetic and offensive to say the least . Last time a nz journalist made a cheap remark on shiela dikshit..our media made it such an issue that guy was suspended, made to apologize and even the govt said sorry. And this is not one person but a nation being made fun of .The ethics slogan is as offensive as it gets

My sentiments exactly.

As some posters have alluded to in this thread, the company can end up actually come out having it's reputation badly damaged (as it would rightly deserve!) IF things are handled properly.

The lawyers of the concerned parties (preferably the pcb- if they can actually be bothered to do something) should handle this exclusively and professionally. Players and fans alike should not be provoked into angry reactions- this is no doubt exactly what they are hoping for!

In fact concerned players should just have a standard response ready (we have a PR guy with the squad right?) something along the lines of "Lawyers are looking into the matter".

In a way I'm glad this has been the case, navroks. I think the ad is as pathetic as it gets, and is wrong on so many levels. Rather than a media onslaught on the company (which will probably only get their non-entity of a company free publicity) I rather they are hit where it hurts- their pockets!

The incident you mentioned also sounds pathetic, I'm impressed by the response from India though! However, as I mentioned earlier, in this case I think such an approach should be avoided as it will only succeed in attracting more attention to this unknown company, which will only help them achieve their desired results.

WTH is Yk doing on that poster?

Its like the company has worked out that the marketing benefits outweigh the costs of getting sued.

NZ mein Pakistan quam ka apmaaan
This is why I respect India. If this had happened to India by the the company would have put out a public apology. Pakistan is weak as a country (now more than ever before).

PP's mods who are in touch with players/PCB should really work up on this. I myself working in an advertising agency & i can tell you that in this business you can never get away with this sort of cheap & disgusting advertising.

wee need India TV type channels for such occassions0

though im glad atleast our state TV is not as retarded as that :D

Who's this 'Sunil' that Ali keeps referring to ?

^ Marketting manager of this Moa company, an Indian :yk

This Ali guy is so cool, I say get him into the team!

I take Daryl has to look for another sponsor....

Karma doing a full circle to bite Tuffey

Lol what a chaval insaan, hope he enoys his subsequent stay in jail and his now eternally defamed reputation.

These Kiwis are hypocrites of the highest order.

For some strange reason, the moment i read that tweet, I swear i could hear Nutan singing in Lata Mangeshkar's voice "Mera Karma tu"

i remember how often we use to take this third rate bowler apart, and now hes a fixer too.
FREAKIN KIWIS ARE FIXERS.

Tuffey, you ain't so Tuffey now :-)

What are the chances that this Sunil guy was involved in the fixing as well...what a group of low tards got what they deserved, this is glory of karma in full swing!

Lol must have been before my time here.

It's quite funny actually, can just imagine Tuffey dreaming this one up after he'd had a few beers.

HAHAHA. This is actually one of the most hilarious cricket-related things I have come across.

Don't worry friends, the Kiwi's have always been our little peasants. The scars inflicted by the likes of Akhtar (who averages 5 per wicket in Test cricket against them) are hard to heal. Things have been spread. Things I dare not say on PP - but you get the idea.

These little ******** losers are nothing but a C-grade Australia, with more animals then peoples inhabiting their backwards, stupid accent, no culture island. In 100 years when global warming makes the ocean levels rise, they will be all but forgotten. Perhaps a Bedouin will mention the snobby, butthurts, who accomplished nothing in their lifetime, but by and large, they will be forgotten.

Lovely comment.

No wonder Daryl Tuffey has vanished into obscurity.

Best known these days for a sex tape and a very poor taste marketing campaign for a craft beer.

Looks like I'm in a minority here but I think it's pretty funny. It's obviously pretty edgy / shock value but it is what it is.

If Pakistanis stopped getting offended about this type of stuff, stopped caring about what everyone thinks about them and focused on the real societal issues the country would be a much better place.
