Day 4 Thread

Pakistan imploding like only Pakistan can.

Time and time again, Inzi must bail them out.

La Qaddar Allah, if Inzi ever fails Pakistan have had it.

All this referring to him as beast! thats what u guys get!! 1st bloody ball! The keeper aint bad either. But lets not call him beast.

happens.. was a good delivery. doesnt change anything. he is still the BEAST.

IMMY its like going to the NOU CAMP to watch Ronaldhinio play, but he gets sent off, everyone leaves. No entertainment value left for the spectators!

Dude they have put up with a lot of crap for the past 4 days. y do we always have to be good sportsman when the other guys are not even trying to be Men.

haan yk and others who were praying are just waiting for Afridi. bhaiyoo Afridi is a hit n go player. Yusuf and Inzi were our best bets. we need atleast 250 plus lead now to even save this. Multan wont happened again. Inzi is the key. beechara everytime he has to come up with a gem

we need a big one from inzy and a 40 odd from akmal...wicket is still flat and england wil chase anything below 250 if they given 50 overs

Hey what happened , I just went to drink a cup of tea and then 2 wickets quickly fell .Pakistan made a mistake of not sending Afridi earlier .He should have opened the innings .Now only option for Pak is to play for a draw and that would be suicidal .In Inzi and Co can remain for the next 20 overs and score 60 runs then they can make a match out of this .

yes but the rest of our players still need their support...this will only lift englands spirits

If we can end the day now 200 ahead 5 down it not wud it cud have been but still not bad we got to bad sensible but postive tommoro but england still have to get these 5 wickets they cant chase any score till they do so the pressure still on them

LMao Waqar, i dont notice the other to be honest.

The movement Flittoff is gettin, is it due to the pitch?

InshaAllah, Ikhwaan, even now England can't win it.

Drawn match, really.

Inzi and Akmal will close the match from here.

Congratulations to England for fighting so hard but the record books will show that the match was drawn and Pakistan unbeaten in this series.

I think Treskhota, Bell, Jones are the key wickets 2moro.

Treskhota will have to be out done by the pacers, he handles Kaneria pretty well, the other 2 are both still suspect against spin

I say we should still continue to play positive cricket... atleast go at 3.5rpo here; just because afridi's wicket fell doesnt mean our guys dont know hwo to play aggressive cricket. inzi is playing fine the way he is & kamran should play his normal criket and not go into a shell. NO reason to be AFRAID and start crawling for cover. We are still in the position of control.

big shout against inzy and botham syas inzy lucky however he doesnt bother mentioning that ball may have just hit outside off-stump

60.6 Flintoff to Inzamam, no run, that swung in a big way, right in line, it hits the pads first and then the bat, it was going nowhere than into the stumps, Inzy extremely lucky to survive yet again, Freddie unlucky!!

inzi lucky again

afridi out first ball fcuk
my sentiments exactly

and the fans leaving immediately afterwards....that says it all about Afridi's attraction :))

This match is anything but boring, yet the loyal Faislabadis are walking out as if we are getting hammered.

Kean0 silly as it may sound, the PPers have conjured up the beast reference due to Afridi's obsession with 6's......get it 666....devil..the beast. :)

Around 12 more overs to go.

Pakistan should look to add another 25 runs in this time.

Tomorrow, even if Pakistan are all out by lunch, England will struggle to score 250 odd in 50 overs.

Well done, Pakistan.

Well done, England for a fighting display and showing what Test cricket is all about.

Agreed they still have to take 5 more wcikets before they can bat again we need to delay that as long as possible and make sure what they chase compared to the time they have left make it very very hard for them and we can only do that by being positve and sensible which Inzy is

this wicket is atleast as good as the karachi wicket of 2000...we need a big score here to make it safe...england looking to win the series and will try and hunt down whatever paks score from this stage on

Yeah but if the rpo is 6 an over we can just but men all back what they gonna do then?? they would habve to take risks then

new batsman (specially the tail) will find it very hard to withstand this thats why we cannot afford to lose anymore wickets

60th over: Pakistan 166-5 (Inzamam 32, Akram 1) Another huge appeal from Flintoff, who believes he's trapped Inzy lbw. On first viewing it looks like it was bat then pad, however replays show it was the other way round. Inzy escapes for the third time this innings, and Flintoff can only shake his head in frustration.

But they never report how lucky the English batsmen have been.

Yeah I agree with out a dount alot rests on these two

Lets not get too harsh now, Afridi got a beauty of a 1st ball delivery! Excellent ball from Flintoof. Remember Afridi has a lot of work to do with the ball now. 21 overs are way too much. I hope the sun just goes down now

to make it 6 runs per over the paks will have to bat atleast until lunch tomorrow and put up a lead of 320 runs...that would make it 6 runs per over in 53 overs...this would mean paks having to score another 140 runs and they only have 5 wickets in hand

62.1 Flintoff to Inzamam, no run, bangs that short, Inzamam was not expecting it, looks to defend, hit on his right fore arm, he seems to be in pain!

please dont be serious

Why is everyone making it seem as Pakistan are in a bad position. We have 2 more than capable batsmen out there, who can bat with tail if needed.

240 is almost impossible on a wicket that will turn and create uneven bounce.

if my memory serves me right - pakistan was not able to chase 150 odd against SA on the last day of the test match ...even 200 is very difficult to get - pakistan has to hold on to all the chances and field like lunatics like they did in 1st innings

Scroing another 140 is defiantely possible ONLY if this patnersip flourishes though

people who did not see pakistani fielding in the first innings should consider themselves lucky - you would be pulling off you hair if you did

Actually, I don't hope that at all.

The longer today goes on, the more DIFFICULT it gets for England. Why?

1. Because their bowlers and fielders are tired.

2. The ball is old.

3. The batsmen, especially Inzi are set.

A fresh start means exactly that: for the bowlers its good, but from the batsmen's point of view it means they must get their eye in all over again.

62.5 Flintoff to Inzamam, FOUR!!, drifted to the pads, Inzamam looks for the flick, inside edge onto the pads to fine leg

anotjher one keep coming inzi

the other toss of the coin is that if paks get bowled out in the first hour tomorrow and england go for the suns (as obviously expected) then we will get a result..and paks will definitely be in with a shout as both the spinners are gonna get turn on a 5th day wicket and if shoiab maintains his form then we could be in for a very very intersting day tomorrow....and if paks win then thats the series tied up.....

Umpiring, rubbish catching, poor batting....despite all that we are still in a strong-ish position. Yet again its Inzamam who has to bail us out.

Freddy has taken a liking to Hoechst ki goliyaan.

come on paks...we can do it...keep building the total....250 is what we need

The pitch is still holding firm, people, inspite of Freddie getting the ball to stand up and beg.

Howvever, the pressure on England to force a win will be immense and thats going to inevitably produce mistakes. This shall lead the English into a more conservative approach and even chasing 250 in 60 overs will prove virtually impossible.

This can also go the other way. What if Pak lose a wicket now. Why give England more overs to bowl at us.

If Inzy declines the Light Offer, that would send out a strong message to the English team, a demoralising effect.
