Hope some of you are watching this. Or did PPers lose interest after insipid showing by Pak cricketers this year? Anyway good contest going on between teams of two cities of which I have good memories.

Around 2 runs a ball needed. Sammy hits six and bowled by Shakib next ball. Could be over now.

Dhaka Dynamites 159/9 (20/20 ov)
Rajshahi Kings 91/6 (14.3/20 ov)

Rajshahi Kings require another 69 runs with 4 wickets and 33 balls remaining

In the end DD were pretty dominant. Great to see so much local talent coming up.

I only watch Ipl little bit, these leagues are just time wasters with no big players, who want to samit patel and keserick williams and these two are best teams in term of foreign quality so you own make decisions that how poor this league should be with players like benny howell etc

Don't there was much interest

When I don't have much to do and in flicking channels and see a live cricket match going on I usually stop and watch it. But for BPL didn't even stop for more than a couple balls even when Pak players were playing

The production quality is poor and the cricket is also not top level and I don't really care either way. Why invest any time on this? I doubt the players even care that much and the only motivation is the pay check

Finally it's not like big name players are there either. In IPL my attitude is same but when you see KP or Steyn or De Villiers playing you do stop and atleast watch a few balls.

The only league where it seems the players genuinely want to win and are invested in their teams success seems to be Big bash. IPL too to a great extent now especially with the older franchises even though banning of CSK and the other team has hurt that. But it took a good 6-7 years for that whereas got Big bash it happened fairly quickly. And it seems more sustainable than ipl in the sense that it can do well and survive without big name foreign players

Slog you are right who want to see poor bangladeshi players and poor foreign players even PSL is miles better with players BMac, KP , eoin morgan, alex hales, kerion pollard, shane watson, luke wright, sam billings etc

Honestly, PSL squads are not great either. Most of the foreign players are over the hill. IPL is so far ahead in the game that all these leagues look boring to me in comparison. Need current big names like AB, Maxwell, Buttler, etc.

The-Odd-One they are not available at that time so how current players play, I think the overseas players are similiar to that of big bash league overseas players, but honsetly give me answer PSL is better than Boring Premier League?

Don't get so caught up with the big names. I didn't watch too many BPL games but it is sad some people refuse to acknowledge that Bangladesh has some exciting players. Also a number of fine players have emerged during this tournament. Today a Bangladeshi fielder took a catch at the boundary that was quite exceptional. He was just a no-name sub. Sad to see some of the PPers downgrading Bangladeshi players. This is the attitude that is behind Bangladesh being a separate country today. Remember that for many years East Pakistanis were not considered good enough and were given few opportunities. I recall an East Pakistani on the verge of selection being deliberately run out to hurt his chances. I wrote about this in a post some time back. I think we should congratulate BPL and wish them continued success.
