I want cricket to return to Pakistan but it shouldn't be done in hurry. Maybe one or two games (per series) can be played there for now.

Yes. Relationship between BCB and PCB are not good. Our ruling party (Awami League) has influence over BCB and that is one of the reasons. Awami League is pro-Indian.

Having said that, fans from BD and Pakistan are reasonably respectful with each other (except for some haters from both sides).

Ok sorry man, I was a bit rude there. I just got so annoyed at some BAN supporters i see online and in real life all thinking they would trash Pakistan in the world cup. Pakistan won pretty heavily so I've gotten rather cocky since then, but the I shouldn't be. It was my bad.

As for touring Pak, I do think Pak is a safe country now. If SL visits Pak for two tests I think it will help a lot and maybe BAN can tour us for later on. I just am tired of the UAE.

we get along with the sri lankans fine. in fact we always support them against other teams. the rest of the asian cricket playing nations bring their political baggage with them. hence we do not get along with them.

Teams have ups and downs. problem is that we have seen the best of bangladesh, and their best was no where near a semi final position in the world cup. they are nearing a rebuilding phase.

Shakib and Mushfiq have been carrying the team for a long time. Both are top tier no doubt. But nothing else has come up including Tamim who is Ahmed Shehzad-esque in my opinion. Fizz also seems to have fizzled out.

No team has ever chased 500 in cricket history. In our "hole", scoring 400 is an anomaly. Forget about 500.

i was in both games.. Afg and Bang... had a lot of fun on the bang game ... (given it was a little less heart-attakin lol ) but then me n my friends went out with some bangaladeshi fans for a meal ... we made good friends...had a lot of banter and really sharp comments but all in good spirit ...

problem is tht sanity helps to make friends.. it is frustrating when some bangladeshi fans start takin crap when their team cannot walk the talk ... banter is good but then learn to take it back too ...they are happy giving it but when they receive it, they start talking abt morals...

Same here. Been 4 years since the last Pak vs Ban series. Really want Bangladesh to tour Pakistan. And about the fans, there are bad seeds from both sides. Majority of the fans get along together so it's all good.

Next four years will be crucial. If we can't find replacements, we are doomed. Our U-19 team isn't doing too bad. They finished 3rd in 2016 WC and 6th in 2018 WC (U-19 World Cups).

I am hopeful about BD cricket for 3 reasons -

1) our board generates enough revenue despite ordinary performance; BCB is actually 5th richest cricket board in the world (net worth of $51-million).

2) Cricket's popularity in BD is huge. Don't think it is going to die there anytime soon. There are enough players and enough fans to keep it going.

3) BCB has great relation with most boards. I think it is important because friendly relationships means more tours.

They used to be 100% minnows until a few years back but right now I'd say 50-50. Still don't see them as a threat to any major teams esp India.
