I am curious. Why, after dominating FC cricket for three years, with an average of 15, which is incidentally also his international average at this time, does Abbas's form only begin with his county stint?
 
Positive batting needed from all our batsmen, hopefully get lead up and past 250 towards 300 by close tonight.
 
I think a target of around 250-300 should be enough. It's only day two though. I think we should bat it out till the end of tomorrow and possibly a session on Day 4 and then declare.

Still 40 overs left today you want Pakistan to bat 110 Overs till Day 3 + 30 overs (1 session) on Day 3 = Possibly 140 Overs? Lol
 
I was talking about what score we should be look at by Close of play, we should be looking to bat well in day 3 aswell, plenty of time in this match for a positive result

Hafeez showing what's to come in South Africa if selected. Given he hasn't bowled much either, he's surely a straight swap for Imam.

Muhammad Abbas has now the least bowling average in test matches during last 122 years of cricket history. Overall there are only three bowlers with lower average, all in 1890s.
 
Historically PK collapse from these positions to be bowled out for 120-140. Lets see if this generation is different.
 
Really need a knock from Azhar. His form has been worrying and we cannot afford a senior batsman out of form against NZL and SAF.
 
Yasir has not been able to extract a quarter of the spin from this track that Lyon is extracting. Maybe he needs to put some revs and land the ball on the seam more often. He is looking toothless right now without turn.

275 would be a good target but 350 would probably ease the nerves of the players. Need about 200 more.

Yasir is coming back from injury and its taking him longer than expected to be his usual self.

He was just using the first three innings of the series to lull the Aussies into a false security and give them hope that they might win the series.

Hopefully a good positive last session and we can have a 300 lead going into day 3 with loads wickets in hand.

I'd prefer we humiliate them and make them stand in the heat for as long as possible. Bat at a run rate of 1/2 per over if required. Just leave them out in the sun for two days and watch them crumble.

Man Fakhar at the top of the order in these conditions could really transform our side. Great stuff.
 
Some experts “Abbas is a medium pacer and Indian bowlers bowl at 150 kph” while “Fakhar is a hack”.

Well whatever they both are, they know their game and skills and how to use those to perform. In the end that is what makes a difference, batting style and bowling pace are two over rated things which are important just to support but not necessary by any means.

Atleast this match wont be a draw, there wasnt any chance but even if there was a little bit Fakhar is making sure to eradicate it.
