Playing XI

Windies : Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope(w), Marlon Samuels, Jason Mohammed, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder(c), Ashley Nurse, Devendra Bishoo, Jerome Taylor, Miguel Cummins

England : Jonny Bairstow, Alex Hales, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan(c), Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler(w), Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett, David Willey

Bishoo looking toothless. Bowls too short, lacks the pace through the air of a Yasir Shah, doesn't have a potent googly so there's no surprise and he usually offers up one long-hop per over.

Why would you play 2 spinners on a green tinged pitch ?!

England look set for 350 here.

5 wickets all falling to seam.

Couple of vital quick wickets for WI, will help peg their opponents back.

England collapsing. He is not quick, but Cummins has been getting that ball to talk and has taken three excellent wickets so far (Hales, Buttler and Root).

Rovman Powell has impressed with his bowling.

Edge but NO slip despite Windies taking three quick wickets and with two new batsmen at the crease

Holder's defensive fields have driven me crazy on this tour.

Poor death bowling, length deliveries that Moeen Ali is dispatching into the stands.

Struck six sixes in his last eight deliveries.

and some people here think Hafeez is better than Moeen :))

Typical West Indies of the last 15 years - ceding the advantage when they get their noses in front.

Not a fan of ODIs like this, non-swinging Kookaburra and no reverse swing so bat totally dominates ball and very little chance of WI chasing this.

Cracking hitting though.

Taylor to Ali, 1 run, dropped by Gayle at backward point, and a chance of a run out. Wide full toss, skewed towards Gayle. A pretty simple chance. Straight to him

Nurse to Ali, 1 run, dropped again by Nurse! And this one should have been taken. Moeen slogged it high in the air, Nurse steadied himself under it but the ball popped out

Nurse to Ali, no run, dropped by Nurse, but that would have been a stinger! Hammered back to the right of the bowler who did well to get a hand on it

WTH

At the end of the 44th over Moeen Ali 39(39)

At the end of the 46th over Moeen Ali 87(49)

10 balls 48 runs lol

Moeen Ali is the best all-rounder in the world. What an innings. MashAllah, superb stuff.

Incredible, and no one deserves this 100 more then him; he has batted superbly all summer for the TEAM and has never chased milestones :sachin which has resulted in some impact innings. Deserves this century for one hell of a summer with the bat

Moeen Mo e Moeen Mo e Moeen Ali, sing with me Markhor Big Mac

Such a small ground.

Both teams have been able to hit boundaries with ease.

Some said Gayle was finished, but he's proving his doubters wrong. Still some life left in the big man.

Samuels unlucky to be given, don't think you can say that was conclusive.

Indeed :))

Why am I even talking to Division 2 posters like shaz619 ? Come back when you're in Division 1 :broad

When did I say he was finished ?

RRR is 8.26 for WI so this is very gettable. The main batsmen need to spend as much time at the crease as they have a long tail.

Gayle needs to carry on here, needs to aim for a double to give the WI's a chance

Absolute poor running from Gayle. Like why would you not sprint all the way to the crease and/or slide. Poor from Gayle, missed out on well deserved 100. :uak

Got out the same way twice. He only seems interested in hitting boundaries.

Moeen + Rashid are two crucial cogs for the English LOI sides. Great to see.
