With all due respect, the war has changed everyone's public perception including mine towards Indians.

While I am tolerant of Indians in Aus(have to be), they arent exactly friends. Just look at how some Indians behave on this forumn?

Even their cricketers? Lets stop pretending that bcci and indian goverment made the decison for CT. They did 100% but Indian cricketers were in on it.

Ct was handed to them on a platter. They won 2024 t20 wc fair and square, but this drama bazi, indian players would all unanimously agree to not play in PK.

And this has nothing to do with terrorism which is used as the most obvious excuse of all time. You're telling me a western developed country like Australia that is a part of the allied nations and any attack on them could lead to a serious tariff and western country ban as the allied forces would literally bankrupt our economy.

So their willing to come in a so called terrorist country knowing full well that any mistake by pK could lead to their economic end but India Can't come? Despite india having far less to lose?

Don't agree with Ashwin being called overrated. Dhoni had a thing for Jadeja and always picked him over Ashwin overseas. Kohli continued the thinking and was even worse, because he preferred some loser over Kuldeep, when going for a wristspinner, whose name I can't even remember.

Ashwin to his credit has played goat innings in england and nz and has performed well on certain occasions.

But their still far and few in between. Yes its unfair to rate him vs Aus since aus is brutally unforgiving vs spinners however ashwin is no ATG that he's paraded around to be.

Ashwin and jadeja are > Sajid and Noman, No denying it. But sajid and noman are used as an illustration as to how inflated ashwin and jadeja's stats truly are.

They played on pitches curated to their liking, the reason they outperformed other spinners is cause they both complimented each other + they have more experience on such pitches vs Overseas spinners who are max playing 5 matches here over a span of 3 to 4 years.

This is a kind of match and kind of pitch, where if team batting first scores 600+ then 2nd team may also score near to 500... Meanwhile match will go towards the end of 3rd day after 2 innings... Then it is about the 1st team (India in this case) batting strongly to ensure the opposition is absolutely out of equation (like to get 550 runs in 100 overs, that is more challenging and definitely out of reach). Against a team like England and on these kind of pitches (which remain true till 5th day), your mindset needs to be like this...

I think Indian batsmen threw their wickets after a while in both the innings (instead of biting some more time & scoring some more runs) and that is costing us here (more than our bowlers' inability). Remember we are travelers and they are the hosts, they know the conditions more than us! So we should first take the defensive approach, respect them and then attack if there is an opening (that's how NZ beat us recently).

Remember this is an era where 350+ is a norm in ODIs, 200+ is a norm in T20s and so chasing near to 400 in 4th innings of a test match is also becoming normal (India also won in Gabba chasing such total). In modern test cricket, if the pitch is a green top or rank tuner, then the match will end within 3 days, if the match is going into 5th day, then definitely it is flat and batsmen will make use of the opportunity & fancy their chances...

Indian team should keep all this in their mind going further... And I don't think Shubman Gill is going to be a successful captain... (KL Rahul is already doing ghost captaincy on the field).

Required Run Rate is so much under control... England just need to build a partnership, their tail is not that bad compared to India... So they should easily chase this... Just that they should calm down at the moment...

I think finally rain/light may save India in this match... They better think properly from next match... Not sure if lights going to improve any further... Even if 15-20 overs are lost, I think England won't take the risk of chasing it in gloomy conditions...

If Rahul scores big then basically it means the pitch is good for batting
