Amazing how Jaddu bowls more attacking line and gets more turn in ODIs than Tests

England are the most unappetizing ODI team of all time.

:srini should ensure there are spinning pitches in WC2015.Then we'll have a chance

This ODI is a perfect example of results hiding weaknesses.

Our pacers took no wickets.

The ball won't spin in Australia and we will see our bowlers getting ripped apart into shreds.

We really need to change the pacers and try to win games with pacers and not via spin chokes.

why do you whine so much....India has always picked up it's game in ICC tournaments....we chased down 330+ in 36 overs in australia....batting wins odis .....India under dhoni is also better at handling pressures in ODIs

Because I like to whine. :)

Considering the performance of our pacers in the SA and NZ series and then in England, my point is perfectly valid.

We need to try out pacers and find the best combo. Right now all the focus is on WC preparation.

What could the same Dhoni do in SA and NZ when our spinners were neutralized and pacers were spray guns?

south africa doesnt count....2 odis not enough sample size...nz is like one bad series

Also pointing out genuine flaws that are packed up with past data isn't whining.

Its called being realistic.

I have hopes on Umesh, Bhuvi, Shami and Aaron. They have skills.

But they are spray guns (except Bhuvi).

We just need to plan in a way that our pacers can do their job in a decent way and give our batters the best chance to win.

Why not?

Giving 350 in a green Joberg track doesn't count?

SA 3 matches. NZ 5 matches. Eng 2 matches.

The ball was swinging early.

We better address this issue.

a bilateral series is not equal to world cup...Indian players always pick up their game in big tournaments.....and in nz and sa we played against the home team..in world cup we will play against neutral teams expect nz and aus....so conditions will be neutralized for both

Watching England bat is like watching Pakistan bat.
In Odi I mean

All that is fine but planning needs to be done.

Today vs England our pacers did nothing. So even against neutral teams in Australia we will have troubles unless we sort out our pacers. In Aus our spinners will be decent at best.

So better to plan now instead of hoping that the pitches help us.

we will bat our way to the world cup ...don't worry...captain kewl got this :msd

I agree with @sensible indian fan

Dhoni seems in control when spinners are doing well, but is poor in handling pacers.

But who are the options. Can try Pandey and Aaron maybe

BTW when did Tredwell become such good hitter.I remember he was hopeless in CT final
