Massive collapse. Sadly for England, they haven't been the same team since PAK humiliated them in the UAE.

McCullum has to play a blinder supported by either Fulton/Willaimson.

McCullum or Rutherford are my picks. Come on NEW ZEALAND!

That's a desperately unlucky way for James Anderson to get out for nought. And exactly as we expected, this game is poised in a fascinating manner

Re: England vs New Zealand | 1st Test | Lords | Day 4| 19/5/13

Come on NewZealand.
I have left my studies for this game.
Will be an exciting end to this Test.

Kiwis have a chance, but it's a low-scoring match and they've got a few injuries.

Re: England vs New Zealand | 1st Test | Lords | Day 4| 19/5/13

England just won a Test series in India, that's pretty good.

Learned how to play spin but forgot how to play swing?

So let's listen and watch the commies cry now.

Re: England vs New Zealand | 1st Test | Lords | Day 4| 19/5/13

Will be difficult. Mostly will lose by 50 odd runs or win by 3 wickets,

Learned how to play spin but forgot how to play swing?

Maybe, but to fair it's a low-scoring match. This is the kind of Test match we used to see quite often. 239 would be the 3rd highest successful run chase at Lord's ever, so the history supports my view.

So this game is already better than the entire IPL season put together.

Match will be over today. A tight win for either team I reckon. Gonna be a nail-biter!

lolz some people's understanding of Test cricket is appalling.

Gotta love test cricket :)
Swann and Anderson will be the key, I don't expect Broad and Finn to do much.

Just hope the Kiwis don't find themselves at 80/5 or anything like that.

I think Taylor is the one who will decide this match, no disrespect to Williamson or Brendon, but Taylor's in a different class from the rest of the team

Wow, williamson spinning so much, what will Swanny do then, he will eat them alive, oh now, come on kiwis, no defensive shots against swann.

I think stuart broads cameo has done it for england those crucial runs at the end will prove vital, england are the clear favourites to defend 238 i think anderson and swann will prove too much for the kiwis but well done to them for the fight thus far

I'd put England slightly ahead at the moment, but it's a workable total as opposed to an invincible one.

Williamson, Taylor, McCullum maybe...those three are pretty key. Maybe Watling, with whatever he comes up with late in the order.

Whatever Rutherford and Fulton score is more or less a bonus. That said, 10/2 is undesirable.

Wow how crucial a 1st innings lead would have been for NZ? Even a 30 or 50 Can they do it?

And they'll miss Vettori should they find themselves in some middle order strife.

If Rutherford gets going this game will be over in 60 overs.

The role Fulton plays here is key. Will have to take the shine of the new ball.

Rutherford is class, those underrating him might be in for a surprise

Exactly. I'd rather have the chance to watch this one day than be able to watch all of IPL since its inception.

Come on man, you can't even compare Test cricket with IPL. This Test match has been exciting from Day 1. Might go down as one of the best Test matches we have witnessed or maybe because after a dose of IPL, Test cricket looks like heaven :moyo

So New Zealand, in pursuit of 239 to win, will have to notch up the third-highest successful chase at Lord's to win this match. A chance to make some history

Wow, didn't know that.

Good start by kiwis here, already reached 0,4 % of the target.

Massive collapse. Sadly for England, they haven't been the same team since PAK humiliated them in the UAE.

Agreed That india series win apart england have been pretty average the last 15months, i mean it's the 4th test between these sides and new zealand are pushing them again

Kiwis, I have a question. Why does Rutherford have such a low average in List A? One would think an attacking player like him would be pretty good there

Yes which is why your earlier comment 'er yeh lol 239, 80 overs left, just go and score em' looked so amusing.

I wasn't serious, relax. You did't Catch the younis smiley no?

Re: England vs New Zealand | 1st Test | Lords | Day 4| 19/5/13

Nothing shot from Fulton.
Newzealand 1/1.

I'd put England slightly ahead at the moment, but it's a workable total as opposed to an invincible one.

If the Kiwis win it will be the third-highest winning score at Lord's ever. (I saw the record: 344-1 by WI in 1984).

This NZ looks something special and could make a good side in future. One change I'd make is Ryder in for Fulton pushing McCullum to open again.

Poor start from kiwis, good by borad.

All eyes on Williamson now.

That's the thing about Broad, bit of a tool but when he does get runs and wickets they tend to be important.

Nah Mccullums much better down the order, I would give Guptil another shot and bring in Ryder for Martin or Brownlie.

Even Professor would have laughed at that shot.

But realistically this is like hoping for a club batting line-up to pull off one of the larger fourth innings chases in recent memory.

Not gonna happen. Hope Ross Taylor has other ideas.
