Nah Mccullums much better down the order, I would give Guptil another shot and bring in Ryder for Martin or Brownlie.

Would keep Brownlie & Martin? You need a spinner in the side.

I'd go for:

McCullum
Rutherford
Williamson
Taylor
Ryder
Brownlie
Watling
Vettori
Southee
Wagner
Boult

I think even Bracewell would do well in English conditions. Maybe Bracewell for Wagner.

Where is Guptill, by the way? Injured?

Wagner has been a good support bowler. That dismissal of Compton was brilliant similar to his banana swinging delivery to dismiss KP.

Mccullums much more effective down the order and depending on the pitch you'd decide whether do go with the spinner or part time bowling of Williamson and Guptil.

Where are the edges going for boundaries?

Fulton despite his back to back tons has never impressed me

Guptill too hasn't done well in test cricket.

Yeah, good shot. Rutherford should just swat it around since Kane's defensive element is the more prominent facet of his.

2nd Boundary.
Newzealand 10/1.

Finally the edge for four I was waiting for.

Need to give a shot especially if Fultons out of touch.

Averages 245.00 :don against Bangladesh :shakib
53.33 VS Zimbabwe
69.25 VS West Indies

17.75 vs Australia
24.84 vs India
27.88 vs Pakistan
17.20 vs South Africa
18.00 Vs Srilanka

Fulton scored two centuries against England. Just had a bad game today, even Prior scored double duck. Fulton is better than Guptill

Big problem Rutherford has is Swann. Swann will always be a threat to any left hander.

Martin Guptills 26 and can improve while Fulton is 34 and nearing the end of his career.

Broad to Rutherford, FOUR, another boundary, thick-edged low past third slip - neither team will mind that too much, I guess

Good commentary.

Something for the Kiwis to revel in :)

Brilliant shot for 3...
Williamson is such classy bat to watch :)

Good commentary.

Cricinfo's quality has slipped a lot, too much catering to the T20 crowd in tests, too much whining about slow batting

Maybe NZ should think out of the box and promote Southee up the order as a pinch hitter. A quick 30 odd will put ENG under pressure forcing them to spread the field thus allowing NZ singles?

4 runs in a chase of 230 is a lot...

Don't you think Guptill has been given many chances. Fulton can play for another two years, till then Guptill can practice and remove his minnow basher tag

Yesterday I was thinking maybe Mccullum should promote himself up the order and attack the english pace attack and put the pressure back on them.

Beauty from Broad.
Newzealand 16/2.
Rutherford goes.

I knew this would happen.

16/2

Ross, this is it.

Taylor, we believe in you.

Broad always does this when there are talks to drop him :))

The English ones are pretty fair. Though there was some backhanded sledging going on during the India - Australia series. Paraphrasing,

"Siddle to Dhoni, no run, whacks it into Cowan's mid-riff at short leg, maybe he can write a book about it."

Come on.

Starting to think Being a Kiwi fan is worse than being a Bangla fan. At least, you aren't deluded by Bangla into thinking they're gonna win in the first place

Beautifully bowled.

If only Stuart could turn up in this mood a bit more often.

Yeah, the English ones are good. Overall, the new guys, some Indian are just not up to the standard. Personally like Alex winters (I think)

Try this for English Matches

Three now....

I keep saying it. If he could only stay in this mental state, he'd be another Hadlee with bat and ball.

lawl, PP New Zealand cheerleaders being silenced by reality.

Tell Brownlie he's batting against Australia. Might do the trick.
