The big hits would have been a bonus. The way he grafted at run a ball without any risks put more pressure on PAK.

That is what I am saying too, you do not need big hits always. If Shadab can play Gregory type innings more regularly, which he has shown he is capable of, then he is a good fit in this Pak team, along with bowling contributions.

Rauf’s job is not to bowl good at the death, his role in the team is to pick up wickets in the middle part of the innings, which he failed to do.

Initial rubbish spell aside, I think this is the fastest I have seen Rauf ball in terms of average speed (Consistently around 90 moh). Still doesnt change the fact that he needs to work on his good length accuracy.

To me Rauf is the weakest link. Can’t compare him with faheem or any other all rounder. If you play as full time bowler then this kind of bowling won’t work.

Also, this young England aide is weak against spin. A case can be made for Nawaz
