Thank you Azhar Ali - some years later when my son will check his innings in CricInfo; he'll say - what a responsible, captains knock by the Captain facing a land slide.

How are they struggling against this mediocre bowling attack on a placid surface? Atrocious performance. Even pakistan batting cannot be this bad.
 
I'm surprised England are getting so happy beating Pakistan in LOIs, what's so good about beating a team that can't bat, bowl or field and is stuck in the 90's?
 
Surely we need to find a better bat supplier. Start playing with bigger heavier bats
 
We are finished. We have to play qualifiers now, so get rid of every washed up player. If we're going to lose might as well lose with a young squad.

Azhar Ali has an important role in the ODI side. He's one of the most consistent batsmen this series. He's no big hitter but anchors one end. The issue is he needs to anchor as well as go after the bowling, that never helps.

Had batsmen at the opposite end done something he could have kept playing his natural game. Azhar Ali isnt the problem in the batting line up!

It's human nature, you feel good when you beat and humiliate your opponents.

Whitewash will be a blessing. Then again the same was said when England hammered Pakistan in the UAE too.

I'm in shock. Are pakistani batsmen carrying inferior quality bats compared to the others or are they so mediocre that they struggle to post even 280+ scores in this era?

If they showed this batting display to the inmates at Guantanamo Bay it'd be considered excessivelu brutal treatment. Utterly torturous.

he's the only batsman in the team. sarfraz is alright but the rest are all hacks and useless!! We need to re construct this team from the bottom up!! painful..
 
Don't think you can fault the selectors.. there is no talent! There are no good players .. it's the same old players .. players that have already been tried and tested .. this odi team is the worst in the world .. it almost seems like the same fate as the hockey team .. they either have sluggers like mukhtar Ahmad.. or players like Sami Aslam.. neither will work .. for me you have to go back to Umar akmal and shehzad and babar azam and Asad shafiq and just hope and pray!
 
180 for 7 after 41 overs on a dead docile pitch.. Lol.. Is this an odi being played in the 21st century
 
No meaning to block imad should play his shot against pacers he is good

The bats aren't great, but it's mainly the second one. Sharjeel Khan is the only one in the XI who can consistently get a boundary.

This is true.

Talent is missing clearly , Players are hyped , but at International level they are no good.
 
Thankfully Garbage Nawaz is Gone.Shouldn't be allowed to represent pakistan again.What a shameless mediocre player.
 
Azhar and Sami cant bat in the top 3. You can only have one Azhar type batsman in a modern ODI Batting line up.
 
Mentally I think they have given up.

Probably expecting change in terms of team and captaincy for the next series anyway.

Sarfraz captain, with Umar and Shehzad back will probably be the outcome of this. Can't really say thats a good move, but what else can they do.

Even he gets boundary by hacking. Has no class. Babar comes to my mind when I think about consistent classy shots from this XI
 
I remember when Umar was dropped and the likes of Malik, Azhar and Rizwan came in and beat up terrible teams people were partying and now look what's happened...

Umar Akmal needs to get in this team.just so we can have someone who can score at 100 S/R
 
Babar Azam has struggled the last 2 games but it cant be easy in this team where there are no batting role models and the team is getting a beating. He should be persisted with

Poor guy is playing for his ODI career and can't do anything about the rest of the batting and he knows if he tries to hit sixes he'll get out.
 
I want to see some hitting now man.... this is frustrating. I demand some shots now..... Hit some sixes now or Jordon breaks their helmets...:po:

Agreed. Azhar Ali is needed. If he is gone. We might see Pakistan getting bowled out under 200 every 2nd game
 
Apparently Hasan Ali was supposed to be a beast with the bat down the order. Someone who could be developed into an all rounder! We hype up players. There is a massive talent dearth in pakistan and thats the truth.

England is a well oiled ODI unit now, one of the best, while Pakistan is struggling to find itself in limited overs cricket. This is why the results of this series are looking this bad.

Pakistan have a few quick fixes:

- Replace Azhar with Sarfraz as captain. He captained the Galdiators very well, understands what to do in high pressure limited over situations. Azhar looked lost against the Hales onslaught.

- a 1-2 month camp to improve fitness and fielding

These 2 quick fixes itself will make a huge difference. Pakistan's bowling line up is already top class. better captaincy under Mickey Arthur's guidance will turn it around.

The batting will need time, but there's time till the next world cup. Azhar, Sarfraz and Sharjeel are given. Need to find a few more batters and work on them.

Pakistan are playing against a very very good ODI side. Its a different beast compared to the test side under Cook.
 
Is anyone still watching? I'm just following ESPN, if you're watching you're either committed or Indian. :)))
