lead 24 runs now , once it gets to get 75 , with these two at crease , Poms will feel uneasy .

Kumar Sangakkara becomes just the fourth player to score seven half-centuries (or more) in a row in Tests after Weekes, Flower and Chanderpaul

Both teams have played dominoes during this match

I wouldn't like to see roboson, ballance, ali etc chasing on the fifth day

england are in real danger now!!! if they don't get 2 wickets before stumps lankans gonna win this 1 and the series

mathews the danger man a lead around 200 will be quite a task for the english batsmen

Herath won't mind the look of that over from Moeen, but he needs another 100 runs at least to play with

Jaya and Mathews need to make it count here. Chandimal is pretty much useless with the bat these days.

Thirimanne might be the most mediocre player out there. He has looked worse than Chris Martin in this series.

lead is 106 with 6 wickets in hand Lankans will fancy their chances now very good chance of stretching it past 250 which will be a match winning score

Suddenly this est is tuning into an interesting one. Had Sangakara stayed till stumps, I would have said SL ahead, but still 106/4 is not bad considering that both their inform batsman are at the wicket with Chandimal waiting. At Lords ENG showed vulnerability against Herath; may be another 125 & we can get a very interesting end, particularly, if it's a cloudy day.

We'll chase down anything they set. Little Herath will be run ragged as we smash him over his head.

I agree with one of the earlier posts. SL lower order batting is worst I've seen. After Chandimal, SL batting is like a house a cards waiting to be poked at. And Thirimanne's horrible run against anderson hasn't helped. Should have played played Vithange who looked in form and also could have been a handy part time spinner. I can only see England winning this.

I think SL will win.

Out-of-form Cook and the noobs will collapse to Herath for about 160.

First session to hold the key, if England can take a few wickets early on then it should become a very tight match for both teams having an equal chance to win

By the time we are done with Herath, he will have a stomach as flat as Misbah's.

This pretty much sums it up.

SL need to bat until tea on the 4th day at least and then pickbup 3/4 wickets before the end of day's play to stand a chance of winning.

This match is intriguingly poised but you would have to say England still have it to lose. If they can roll Jayawardene early tomorrow there's really not that much batting to come. England need Aussie Rob and Zimbo Gaz to stay at the wicket for another big one.

So the best new talents to emerge for England in recent times are the two antipodeans and the Zimbot

Yeah looking like it's the two at the crease or bust for SL, they need at least another 150 and fair few will have to come from this partnership.

Still Eng well on top imo. Moeen's 2 wickets late in the day turned the game around for Eng big time. Plus Herath hasn't been bowling all that well this series. I don't think he's fully fit tbh. So still a long way to go for SL to make a game of it.

And the Bajan. We love our multinational side - an example of how the world should work.
