If ENg play with NO FEAR of Hearth then they will win, otherwise 200+ target will be enough for their defeat.

Don't be afraid of the old fashioned Herath. He looks like he is playing from a different era of cricket. He waddles around the field, he is a terrible batsmen and he has a belly hanging over his trousers like a person who sits in an office all day and never gets exercise.

They are talking about his BOWLING. :)))

By the time we are done with Herath, he will have a stomach as flat as Misbah's.

We'll chase down anything they set. Little Herath will be run ragged as we smash him over his head.

You auditioning for malakian's old job?

Interestingly poised this Test, first session will be crucial though.

Ideally for srilanka is to bat all day and then out them to bat for 30 minutes to get some early wickets. Right now they need their batsman to take the lead to 300.

If SL must win this, then they must score runs

200+ lead will be enough considering Hearth bowling in 4th innings.

I don't think this will be realistic. Unless Mathews and Mahela manage to stay for another 50 overs, SL won't be declaring and it's only a matter of time before more wickets fall due to the nature of this pitch.

140 runs lead, hmmm and still no extra wicket down. SL is going to have a good day.

Mathew is blessings for SL in such conditions, very good innings.

have to try though. Mahela is the key batsman that must bat through to the end. Its posible but if they do it even for two sessions then srilanka will have a very good chance.

Mathews is really playing well there. 146 lead with 6 in hand. england need to take wickets and fast.

Jayawardene and Sangakkara now have exactly the same number of Test runs.

SL have the initiative back and will go on to win this.

You know the conditions, what will be a defendable score for SL?

I reckon SL could declare now and the current ENG will struggle. The batting line of two years ago would walk it but these noobs will find it tough. Big pressure on Cook, Bell and Prior and Cook can't buy a run at present.

Outside of cook everybody else in the top 7 has made at least one decent score this summer, you would think anything under 250 and england are fav's.

Missed opportunity, could cost England dearly :mv

Mathews on strike now

Come on SL... get another 50 runs and we're in for a cracking test match.

Losing 3 wickets for 10 runs though

Mathews knows he must score and score quick. Plans are changed., They need runs for the lead.

LOL Russell "Had that gone to hand Mathews might have hit Hearth with his bat"

Love players like Herath, they always give it their all for the team :ajmal

Arnold is the best Lankan commentator. But when you look at the other options (The Sanath, Ranjith Fernando, etc.) ,it's like saying Venkat was the best Indian umpire.

Probably the best out of the SC along with Sunny and Ramiz.

Well I'm happy I've got a few runs on the board, I'll try and add some more after lunch but now I need to eat my heart out.

SL | 7/311 | Lead by 203

Lunch - Day 4

Another 50-70 runs will make SL favorites to win this one.

if SL can scrape another 50 runs here should make for a good last inns, i fancy england for here though.

mathews one away from a hundred. I dont see england chasing this score with herath spinning it.

:hundred there for mathews. Hard to believe they were number one 2 years ago. England completely lost the plot in this test.
