To be precise India are not playing like World Champions let alone Test Rank#1. It's hard to believe India are World Champions given their perfomance of late. The only logical conclusion is India bought the World Cup.

So, logically, we should give the records of both teams when they were champions, for a period of four years - that is 1983-1987 for India and 1992-1996 for Pakistan. Nothing more natural. I've compared both teams. As always, take a look at the W/L ratio.
You lost more matches than you actually won when you were World Champions.
Who knows, perhaps it will be the same the next four years.
