Batting first can never be too big of a disadvantage. India just need to get past first session without much damage
 
India should be penalised for the way they played the last test. That was coward batting. Now I dont trust this team

That is poor observation. He did play starc in Australia well. He was the highest run getter in Australia for India. He plays this line eyes closed. Slight deviation did him in.

Gill is genuinely a good player. Yes he is a ftb but not only is he a gun Odi player, but in every series he will get a flat track here and their and those games are certified wins or draws for India.

He is a true successor to rohit. Infact he is actually 100x better them rohit on flat pitches. He is not as destructive but he is more consistent.

Same case with Rahul. He use to be a mental midget but that curse ended in 2025. He has been performing miles and miles better then Jaiswal in this series.

Yet Jaiswal and Bumrah too softie rubbish clowns are overhyped. Unbelievable

I don't think anybody overrated him to this extent! You are making it all by yourself, probably you are an inside fan of him and keep making these anti-reverse-opposite jinxing so that he can be more consistent & settled in the team.

In reality - he is in a learning phase... This is his first tour to England... He should be criticized (especially for the shot selection after getting his eye in...) and should be made to work hard on field (drop catches), that can also improve his vision & reflexes in handling ball...

The pitch was extremely flat. Kohli who had been avg 27 for years managed to score his final test century before failing the next games in an embrassing fashion.

That 104 collapse means nothing. It was an off day for Aus. In the same way india collapsed on 45 vs NZ and NZ went on to score big runs. That doesnt mean the pitch was a minefield

India had a shockingly poor day even for their crappie test standarda atm

Job of opener is the hardest especially for first timer. Sometimes you get a jaffa. Cna't do much
 
I don't think 5 match series should be the norm anymore. Players bodies are not able to last the entire series.

Just keep it at 4

I watched the entirety of BGT. Also about the scorecard, I was joking obviously lol. I watched all of BGT, eng vs India i have missed some parts due to work where I could only keep 2 tabs open for PP and cricinfo.

I obviously can't watch a live test match while attending meetings or Running search/shopping ads.

Just my observation during this series.
He was so late on that pull shot in Lords test chase.
He does not play the backfoot punch, likes to play that full-blooded cut and he hasn't been able to control that shot.

He tried to pull from the outside the off stump. Most players would be late. Even Punter got out pulling that line against praveen kumar lol It is the line that determines whether you are late or soon also above chest height. Pant is a better judge of which one to pull which one not to

Even 3 is enough, but the cycles (tours - frequency) can be increased... India can visit England in like every 2 years instead of waiting for 3-4 years...
 
Jaiswal is easily the most useless hyped junkie, and a joke of a fielders.

Like I said Brook and Green are the goats of this era.

England could have rotated their bowler more wisely.
Atkinson could have played more. He is too good to play only one test. Even if they are preserving him for ashes.
 
Where did this sudarshan guy came from.
Indian test team is so mediocre. Batsmen are so bad and bowlers are trundlers of highest level.
That's why they lose so many matches.
