Can Pakistan upset the hosts and knock them out? Or will their journey come to an end here?

No pressure on Pakistan so they will be more relaxed.

Voted ENG, which is the most likely, yet fingers crossed for Pakistan. :D

If someone can somehow sneak in a dose of broclax or epsom salts in the breakfast of the English cricketers, Pakstan will be huge favorites to win this match:)):))) :P

England are way too strong , especially given the pitches. The outcome seems a foregone conclusion just like CWC2016. India making the finals (probably) and beating England would be A MAJOR UPSET.

Even on spin conductive flat decks in India, the ODI series was tightly fought .

I tried looking at it from every angle and can only come to one conclusion:

RESOUNDING VICTORY FOR PAKISTAN

England is being overestimated here.

I have a feeling Amir is gonna blow away the English aided by Hasan and Junaid.

And for another view on this

I voted for Pakistan and did this because our batsmen know that a par score can be defended by our bowlers given how we performed with the ball against South Africa and Sri Lanka.

So if we bat first there should be less pressure on the batsmen's shoulders and hopefully they will perform beyond expectations.

I'm less confident if we have to bat second but then our fast bowlers know which lengths to hit on this track so there is hope.

England ... They won't drop so many catches like SL did yesterday:facepalm:

True. In addition, Yuvi and Kohli should be praised for their chanceless innings against Pak. Sri Lanka did not drop as many catches as Pak, ( Pak dropped catches but obviously not Yuvi and Kohli), and so India lost to them, despite Yuvi and Kohli not hvaing been given any lives during their the match against pak.
Did I mention what a chanceless innings they played?

In all seriousness Eng are definitely favorites. Ind are favorites against Bangladesh. I am hoping Yuvi and Kohli once again come out swinging and play a chanceless innings like they did in the first match against Pak. What I love about them is that they do not rely on any luck whatsoever, unlike Pak players. In fact the ICC should take away Pak’s points against SL, because they were only achieved through luck, and hand them to India. Maybe even to Kohle and Yuvi personally, because of their chanceless innings.

I say with a heavy heart that the journey, which was a good one, must end here...

...for England! :junaid

I don't see the hosts pulling off an upset at all. Pakistan's game to lose. :akhtar :akhtar

It is going to be a boring one sided match. Pakistan will score around 260-270 which England will chase within 45 overs.

Better question would be, which one is a bigger upset ?

Pakistan Beating England or Bangladesh Beating India

England batting is a lot stronger than pak but pak bowling is a bit better than english bowling. If pak r to win their batters are to step up and try to match english batting.

Pakistan of course, It will be better for England to forfeit the match rather than receiving the thrashing they will get today.

They have street smart cricketers. They have solid batting depth. They have seriously big hitters. Their bowling is not overly good. That is where Pakistan can target. But given Pak's batting form that is a far cry.

Pakistan to win, close match though. I reckon England will bat first make between 250-300, and we just about crawl over the line. Finals, here we come!

I've got a feeling that if England win they will choke big time against India in the final.

Lets just hope they choke against us tomorrow.

Pakistan have a knack to cause huge upsets and beat teams that are undefeated in icc tournaments. Australia. South Africa so why not England?

England are a formidable team much improved and are well balanced in terms of batting and bowling but when Pakistan click especially their bowlers then no team is safe.

I remember once in the World T20 Nasser Hussain on commentary said which Pakistan team has turned up today. Then from ball 1 he said oh its the dangerous one and we went on to win the World T20 in England!

English pitches have been good for us. We just need to back the team to show fight to play with spirit and to play for the nation and its fans!

I am backing Pakistan to win and a win it will be whether we bowl first and end up chasing 320-350 or whether we bat first and barely cross the 290-300 mark.

We often surprise opponents when they least expect us to turn up and Safraz has got this team fired up.

Whether we have hafeez or azhar in the team or both passengers, one of them is due a good score and against the short pitched bowling we need somebody like Azhar to see the bowlers out. We are weak at batting but there is some hope with Fakhar at the top and Fahim at the bottom and with some batting from Amir which he is capable of 20-30 runs would be very helpful if it gets to that.

Batting order needs to be shuffled according to match situation.

All the best Team Pakistan

HitWicket why are you Brits so soft? Where is the banter? Oh wait I forgot.... you're from the south

Have you guys seen..stokes practicing against spin.. he was hitting all his shots straight down. (Shorter boundary) which will also negatr hafeez effect.

Sp in short .. they have plans.. hope we havr plans to chase 350 too

We Pakistanis are born with the killer instinct. When we smell blood, we attack. Not only attack, but destroy.
