David Wiese chats to Saj about The Hundred, Namibia's progress, his enjoyment of playing cricket in Pakistan at the PSL, Pakistan's ability to produce pace-bowlers, his nickname of Murshad, his appreciation for Lahore Qalandars management in giving him opportunities at the PSL, Qalandars turnaround at the PSL in the last 2 seasons, Shaheen Shah Afridi's leadership qualities, Zaman Khan's progress and bright future, the brilliance of Haris Rauf and who he thinks will be the teams to beat at this year's World Cup.

David Wiese's words of admiration and support for Lahore Qalandars reflect his respect and dedication for the Lahore Qalandar.

Wiese play a crucial role in the Lahore Qalandar success, both on and off the field.

What is really interesting is that how the PSL has not only given young local players opportunities, but how it has rejuvenated the careers of some overseas players who were struggling in terms of confidence and performances. Some of these overseas players have gone on to feature in other T20 Leagues after doing well at the PSL.

Lahore Qalandars is really one of a kind franchise. Their philosophy has positively effected so many

Lahore Qalandars have provided many players to the Pakistan national team, such as Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan, etc.

Love the guy, he is part of the Qalandars. Love how the LQ players give him respect even when they meet him during namibia matches.

Lovely guy.

True

Ronchi was one such guy. Than there was Ben Dunk from Australia.
But the best was Darren Sammy, PZ did some wonderful branding through him. They replaced Afridi with Sammy.

It wouldn't surprise me if Wiese ended up on the LQ coaching staff.

He is good friends with Sameen Rana and is a very popular guy in the Qalandars set-up.

I think SA didn't utilize him properly He flourished late in his career but nevertheless he will go down as lahore qalandars legend

Interesting, great questions Saj.

Wiese is a T20 specialist, interesting he says the T20 bubble will burst sooner or later. Cricket fans usually feels T20 will only increase. Maybe the 100 format will take over.

I agree he will make a very good coach.

And for those that say the PSL gets the rejects from other leagues, it's actually a case of some players making a name for themselves in the PSL and then playing in the likes of the IPL.

Weise has been great for Lahore Qalandars. I believe that his contributions were vital in Lahore Qalandars winning the PSL in the last seasons.

Weise is the most humble and dedicated individual within Lahore Qalandars and I believe the management will likely retain him in a coaching role.
