Feeling jealous of Pakistan seamers in PSL

Thats really sad bro, I mean one of your upcoming talent is being ignored for PSL. He could’ve easily replaced players like Sohail Khan, Rahat Ali, Mohd Sami, Irfan Jr etc. Anyways, PSL seemed to be giving more chances to senior players than trusting young talent.

Wow, I really didnt knew he was just 5’8-5’9. I only saw him bowl once in that QF match in U19WC against us. Anyways coming to Psl, im really surprised that PSL franchise owners have overlooked him and gone for players like Sohail Khan and Sami. If I recall correctly, Musa also has the ability to smack a few with the bat, so he could’ve been suitable for T20s. Anyways, he along with Shah Afridi are future bowling pack for Pakistan kinda like Wasim-Waqar.

Even if you take into account, it definitely does not mean that Pakistan was a much better pace bowling unit that India. The point I am trying to make is that there is not much of a difference between Pakistan and India at the moment. Even if Pakistan is better, its only marginal.
 
Pak pace bowlers have stood up pretty well in the PSL, at least they have held their own. None of them look that great either to be honest, but at least they don't look out of place, unlike their batting counterparts who look distinctly a level below the international stars they are playing with.

We are still recycling TTFs from the previous decade. Assessment would be valid when the current upcoming cricketers take their place. The youngsters continue to impress every time they're given a fair chance while TTFs like Hafeez, Misbah, Shafiq keep sucking the life out of teams.

I mean, the likes of Luke Ronchi are running buckwild all over PSL. Let's not get too carried away now.

Even Pakistan's worst bowler is better than India's best. The only bowler who is somewhat acceptable is Bumrah. You guys should stick to talking about batting.

Luke Ronchi is one helluva a hitter. On his day he can destroy any bowling attack around the world. So let's not underestimate too much either.

The only match where he really got freebie balls was against Karachi. A lot of legside deliveries were bowled by all bowlers.

Unadkhats and Thakurs won't have an overrated batting line up at 30-3 or 50-5 in a tournament final. They are better off earning cheap money in a league like IPL that produces trundlers.

Agreed. That is why Ronchi and a bunch of washed up has been players are top scorers and destroying your best bowlers.

They are generally destroying the foreign bowlers more than the local bowlers.

Yep. Shami has been useless in ODIs after WC 2015. His last bowling was in some Indian domestic ODI games and he was taken to the cleaners
 
Great bowling throughout the tournament, as was the case in the last two. We're seeing good pace, intelligence, change ups and ability. I hope Raees recovers fully, Hasan finds his explosiveness again and one of the younger lads gets an inclusion in the ODI squad at some stage.

However, the best bowling, imo anyway, has been from the spinners and yet again, Nawaz is looking good.
 
Also an Indian made this thread after looking at the PSL talent base, don't know why other Indians are getting their lungis in a twist.

The PSL is played by the players of the top ranked T20 side, obviously it'll have good bowlers. No need to get jealous.

IIRC most of Indian PPers have given credit to CT win to Pak. I don't remember anyone denying credit except few Pak fans (Mamoon etc)!

With all the great past and present bowlers, it is surprising to see Pak has won only one ODI WC, one T20 and one CT. They should have won much more including significant numbers of test matches away. Otherwise whats the use of such phaaaaaast bowlers who gets whitewashed in UAE and that too against SL.

Because this is discussion about bowlers I will talk only about bowlers.

Lot of times when we crticize a player or a skill (bowling/batting/fielding), many posters forget that its a team game but but but it always come to the point, player X has not won a series yet or a WC yet.

Bowlers have generally been good but there is big gap in performances between batsmen and bowlers. In no other country you find this big gap.
 
Don't think it should come as too much of a surprise that stock bowlers (i.e. pak bowlers) are of a good standard in t20 cricket. As a trait, Pakistani bowlers generally can extract more when there is less on offer, and 4 overs is a short enough period for other wider issues (tactics/fitness) not to kick in.

Take a look at Sohail Khan - very smart bowler, even in tests when he came to England. Beyond 4 overs however, things like second spells become an issue.

Generally i think Pakistan bowlers are quite good in pressure situations too, good death bowlers.
 
Too much of chest thumping for CT win (mini WC... Ind won more than once) may sound like minnow mentality,

For a team who won actual thing i.e. WC win (WC'92 once .... Ind won more than once) looks silly #JustOpinion

Can continue to celebrate ...no problem :cheers

Our test bowling lineup is already better than pakistan's. In odis pak fast bowlers are better.
Rahat, irfan, sami are ttfs gul's career is already over, rumman hasn't proved anything others are good, better than india but nowhere near world class.

2019..Pakistan will complete the troika in England. They already won T20 WC, CT there. The last time we had the round robin format, Pakistan won in 1992. The pitches, the format, the location suits Pak. They need another opener and a hitter down the order.

In the matches that really matter we have
humiliated your team many times. You have only ct 2017 to yell about, what about t20 wc 2007,2003 semifinal, 2011 wc sf, 1996etc etc. You are the ones who win meaningless matches more.

So pakistan and india have played total 5 matches which really matter and india leads 4-1.Now come up with another excuse
 
Hence proved, india is the better team historically as it leads 4-1 in matches that really matter. Bilaterals are worthless.

1. 96 QF
2. 2007 T20 WC final
3. 2011 WC semi

Natural for depending your own case with favouring stats, so mirror should be shown to both parties.

When Ind vs Pak debate starts, the same old arguments are coming out from ages ...I'm afraid it won't stop in future as well.

On a positive note, even though we don't meet face each other, these same old repetitive banter topics are keeping the rivalry going (apart from historical political rivalry, ofcourse !) #Peace

Shinwari
Junaid Khan
Rumman Raees
Shaheen Afridi

All under 30 and becoming world class. Good times are coming.
 
INDIAN POSTERS just chill and enjoy pakistani pacers,these utkand,sirj etc i dont remember their names has even no match for our domestic bowlers who are not playing psl.
I can name few here.

Amir/Hasan are world class. No question about that.

Shaheen still needs some time. He will be a super star in about 4-5yrs time. He is only 17.

Junaid Khan is average.

Rumman Raees is a trundler.

Shinwari is brittle.

So the true and the best Pak bowling pecking order should be
1) Amir
2) Hasan
3) Wahab (if he bowls like he is during this PSL, then he is world class)
4) Shaheen (Kid will be a super star someday)

Raees and Junaid can warm the bench and wait for their chance to play if any of the 4 I have mentioned are injured.

I have seen no spark in his bowling. He reminds me of Siraj from India. Trundles for the most part with occasional 140k deliveires and bowls length to get dismissed for sixes.

What Dr.Sahab is saying is that their street level bowlers are better than our B-Team bowlers.

If Pak is not winning away Tests in spite of having such great bowling attack, it means their batsmen are worse than the street level batsmen in other countries.

Pakistan batsmen are a handicap no fan of any other country will understand. In no other cricket team, be it international or domestic, have I seen such a disparity between the batting and bowling departments.
