Too much focus on Tyrion, the popular character. I thought Ser Davos was the real achiever today.

Brought Team Stannis back to relevance with his sheer class!

Waiting for the wrath of Tyrion to be unleashed in the new few episodes.

I have enjoyed the court scene. Peter dinklages is a brilliant factor. I can see another award for him in this year, Allahu Alim. It is fun to watch the court scene again. That scene made it interesting from boring episode which also made it interesting for the next episode to watch.

Jaime has been the star of the season for me so far, I'd go as far as to say he is probably my favorite show character

tyrion is one bad ass actor, incredible acting by him and what a fantastic episode. i'm speechless right now.

Re: Game of Thrones

Tyrion, Tywin and Jamie have been simply superb this season.

Yeap. Tyrion has always been amazing but the others were not explored nearly enough as they should have been in previous seasons. Really coming to the fore now.

No surprises that he is the first name that appears in the starting sequence.

Basically all of the great episodes in this series (and there have only been around 2-3 so far), Dinklage has played a major part in.

My only gripe with Peter Dinklage is his age. He is supposed to be younger than his siblings but looks the oldest without question but because of the height, they really didn't have much of a choice.

His acting and portrayal of Tyrion is simply brilliant, only if he was younger.

So you have read the books?

Jamie is too overrated. I think the Hound has been awesome as akways. Despite staying out of limelight, he has managed to stay relevant in the tv show and entertaining. Loved how he mockedSyrio. :))

The show is getting boring now. Same old crap... no excitement to be honest :/

Everyone is spoiled, that makes a lot of differencr. If we hadnt known the outcome of Tyrion's trial! We would be a lot more curious.

I like characters that go through a redemption arc, Jaime has the best one in the show imo ( books as well probably, i just like Book Stannis the most)

Jaime is the first guy we start to hate in game of thrones, he tries to murder a kid, does it with his sister and killed his cousin just for a chance of escape yet by the end of the third season most people are rooting for him. That's a great character imo

red viper's going to be epic in the next episode. well played tyrion

episode after next

According to the book, isn't the Hound supposed to be dead already?

If I remember correctly in the books, he was supposed to be badly wounded in the tavern fight and Arya leaves him to die slowly even though the Hound asks her to put him out of his pain.

Can't wait for the scene when Tyrion kills his father and Shae...most likely this will be the ending scene for the season..

There's quite a few differences between the books and the show. E.g. the red wedding.

a bit slow but still an enthralling episode! Oberyn/Tyrion scene was brilliantly executed by the 2 actors.

If only Robyn could have jumped in behind Lysa!

^

Book Spoliers below

Makes it worse he is gonna die, such an awesome character, at least he takes Gregor ( sort of) and Tywin with him (heavily implied that Oberyn poisoned tywin before tyrion killed him )

I know and its the most frustrating moment of the series for me so far.

let's just say that it was a lot more dramatic in the book, in a way i'm disappointed. they should have continued it from the trial rather than ending it there.

One good scene doesn't make a good episode. Another waste.

Tyrion has been killing it for the past two weeks and now Oberyn joins him. I love this show!

They have completely not shown Tywin's brother in the series. Strange considering that this role gets more important after
Tywin's death. Especially since he removes Cersei from power and starts to rule in a good way until he himself (along with Pycelle) get murdered by Varys.

List of characters that will die or possibly die:
  • Briene of Tarth - Maybe dead - last seen being hanged by the zombie Catelyn Stark.
  • Podrick Paybe - Maybe dead - last seen being hanged by the zombie Catelyn Stark.
  • Jaime - Missing in Action - Maybe dead - Last seen with the possibly zombie Briene of Tarth.
  • Kevan Lannister - Killed by Varys.
  • Pycelle - Killed by Varys.
  • Hound - Left to die slowly by Arya
  • Jon Snow - Maybe dead, killed by his own brothers in Nightswatch
  • Ygritte - Killed by Jon Snow

Kevan Lannister was in season 1 will be back for 5 im sure

Jon snow doesn't kill ygritte, she is killed by a random nights watch archer. Remember jon had different feathers on his arrows so he knew who he killed.
In the show i reckon that little bow from the village will kill ygritte. It has been foreshadowed by him giving her a big stare after she killed his dad. Later on at castle black the boy mentions he was the best shot in the village. I also reckon this little kid will be the show's equivalent of satin

I was expecting something better this time with that midget in the combat.

They consume so much time for so little action. And i am sick of this excessive nudity as a cheap way of making money.

Scenes with stannis are complete rubbish. Don't care about what's happening with greyjoy either, so annoying! Khaleesi is hot otherwise her scenes would be boring as hell too. Only arya, john snow and the lannisters make the show interesting and their stories progress too slowly due to other boring characters who consume too much time.

this gave me a good chuckle

The look of a man who spent $1000+ on a seat to try and watch a game behind Hodor.

The first Gregor was the best IMO. He was legit terrifying especially when he split his horse in half.

PS: I also think Mance Rayder looks like Graham Gooch.

Agree about the first Gregor , this one while physically the the biggest , he still looks like a nice guy .

Original Gregor got a gig with the hobbit moves

Seriously, is it a crime to have a favourite character in this show?

Today's episode was interesting, ending scene wasn't pretty; scared the hell of me in big screen HD.
The ending scene is not for faint hearted people.

Oberyn got emotional which led to his brutal death; the way big man crushed oberyn's two eyes and head. It was brutal. Oberyn got the big man on floor defeated, but as Oberyn got emotional due to revenge-moment which took unexpected turn of event as oberyn's revenge is still remain unfulfilled, and that also sealed the fate of Tyrion, Allahu Alim, as he has been sentenced 'hang to death' now.

The TV series is starting to veer further and further away from the original source material - Sansa Stark's story arc in particular is taking on an interesting turn, becoming more of a dominatrix than the submissive she was in the books. Likewise for Arya and the Hound - I wonder how the writers are going to split them up? They weren't quite this chummy in the books.

The Red Viper against the Enormity That Rides was spot on though, one of the landmark scenes in the book and it played out exactly how it did in my mind's eye when I first read that scene more than a decade ago.

That scene at the end is stuff of nightmares, felt myself cringing.

wow what a fantastic episode.... speechless. sansa finally came out of her shell.

red viper was played to perfection, it's a shame to see him go.

What in the seven hells was the 5 minute long scene on beetles? Someone care to explain its significance?

^ clear foreshadowing . Though I agree that that scene and the grey worm one were completely needless

It made a lot more sense in the book, but as a soliloquy on television seemed out of place.

Honestly this show is getting boring now. It has lost its shock effect for me.

You knew obryn was going to lose once he started so well. You knew something was gonna happen. The first few seasons were alright.

Still, nothing beats season one of Spartacus. That was a show that had layers buried in it. Not some complex soap opera where everything "shocking" is just normal.

Also, some of the actors are horrible this season. Aryas laugh was so OTT it was cringe worthy. The mountain has no fighting skills (the actor that is).

Oh and by the way. Of all the days she could have chosen, my mom chose THIS day to make maghas.

Aryas laugh was supposed to be exaggerated. It was a laugh of mockery that Hound won't get his money.

But you're right about the other parts. The shocks are becoming very predictable.

Spartacus is just softcore porn in the hands of an excitable script writer who believes everyone in the old ages spoke in Shakespearean tongue. Still loved it though ;)

All the other seasons of spartacus was like that. Season one was good. The scenes had meaning.

Episode started with usual pointless nudity and boring khaleesi although ended well.

They consume a lot more time than what they actually offer.

what the hell was that?? end was great but the rest was garbage..this season has been bekaar..slow and plodding..

Tell me about it. As if they know they have everyone in their "jaal" and all they have to do now is have the 1-2 good scene

Game of Thrones

So what is this Game of Thrones? Some sort of docudrama about monarchies in the lead-up to WWI, I'm assuming.

High fantasy drama based on the Song of Ice and Fire novels which themselves are loosely based on the real life War of the Roses

If you plant to watch, stay clear of this thread, too many spoilers

The problem is that both last season and this season take part in the same book.

Next two episodes will be great though.
