They won't be trapped for long. Dana Rafey's attacks high harden with the dragons and the dothraki. Either they die or win and the lannisters flee for kings landing, as far as I could tel from the previews

I bet Viserion (Drogon too OP and attached to Dany and Rhaegal might go to Jon) will be the one re-animated. Few episodes left so I am assuming a WW showdown will happen near the end of the season (trailers confirm a showdown) and seeing that Jon is stuck with Dany and has to prove to her somehow about the WW she and her dragons will be present.

Its predictable one of the dragons isn't surviving this season and its either going to be by a ballista or the WWs. If its the WW route then good chance Night King will re-animate it in the final scenes of the finale to set up the final season.
 
Rereading the series and finished clash of kings last night.This series is the best thing to happen to me after Harry Potter.
 
There are rumours that one of the dragons will be accidentally killed by the ballista, then reanimated by the Night King and used to destroy the Wall, which will allow Westeros to be invaded by the White Walkers.

It's worlds apart. Also considering how in the same continent they have the nomadic savages called dothraki running around, somehow makes it even harder to believe.

But hey, it's fantasy... :)

One dragon will be lost to the walkers and one through Cersei's weapon. Dany may have just one dragon left going into the last part of season eight.

Personally I think the dragons have been over-hyped. We have been hearing about them since season one but they haven't had much of an impact till now.

They were never going to have much more of an impact until the final showdown. I think they've been brilliant personally, but I'm pretty certain there'll only be one left by the time the series is over. Which will be a tragedy as three dragons as pets was always kind of cool.
 
Next episode is definitely going to be Lannister army being burned alive by Drogon while delivering the gold from Highcastle.

I used to enjoy coming in to this thread because there'd be spoiler warnings and decent discussion about latest developments but these leaks have ruined this thread...

I've heard they're all over the place. I'm temporarily boycotting certain websites and social media until this season's GoT is over. Even at work, i only discuss it with certain people. I'm a bit particular about these leaks to the point of obsession. Apology accepted, just don't let it happen again, lol.

There are lot of loopholes, if you go in detail, so much so the RR Martin is working on preQual to GOT, events leading upto GOT, we may see that as well in future, now since GOT Brand is so well known...We may not see everything explained even in season 8. We already see lot of back reference in Season 7 to past kings and events...

To me big one is, why WWs are back in action after 4000 years, neither books nor show explained their return. They have been dormant for 4000 years, something triggered them to be back in action, what was it?

They all heard about those supernatural creatures but seeing them in action is whole different stories. Imagine in our world, religious supernatural come into action, it would be something like that. Its hard to believe unless you experience yourself...

Incest in Targaryen family is normal, going out of family is unusual ;-)

I think one of the key moments in relation to the WWs was when Bran sees one of The Children transforming a man into a WW. There's no sense of any timeline in that scene. I can't recall any mention of four thousand years.

It could be that they stayed away as long as a child was sacrificed every year. It may be that people like the incestuous Craster were keeping the rest of the world safe. I'd love for a prequel to be released however can't see it with RR Martin's pace of writing and him getting on bit age wise

There have been reference of time frame regarding events of WWs and long night, time frame of thousands of years, Martin's book has more precise date. Sam mentioned it couple of times in one of the season, that those events happen 1000s of years ago. Books are more precise about long night events.

Children Sacrifices did not stopped them, from episode 1, they were killing people, Craster's kids Sacrifices stopped in 2nd or third season, so there is on direction co-relation. WWs needs kids since they cannot reproduce. Story of WWs is kept mysterious deliberately by show runners, to make people guessing and intrigue. Maybe in season 8 they will be talked about a bit more.

Bran is vital for fighting against WWs, even Knight King knows it himself. They may have to stop them from being created in the first place, who knows. Most people don;t know the importance of Bran including his family. Bran is as vital as Dragons or Dragon Glass in defeating WWs, At some point this or 8th season Jon and Sam will come to know the importance of Bran... There's something special about the Starks. For instance Benjen was saved by the Children of the Forest but the other two with him turned into WW. I think that guy who the Children of the Forest turned in that Bran scene might have been an ancestor of the Starks.
 
I think the origin and motives of WW may vary from the show to the books. I think in the books, they have not alluded to the children creating them because the timeline won't make sense. Supposedly the WW were a threat before men came to westeros. In any case, I think the showrunners by giving us that scene have indicated they have a very firm plan in place of disclosing their origin, motivations and history and some of it, I think, will be disclosed in this season.

I think Jon is going to get lightbringer this season. He will wield it to open a can of whupass on WW. Just wait till beric, hound and thoros get to winterfell.. wink wink :)

This isn't based off any leaks but I think only one dragon will die by the NK.

The green one will live along with Drogon

Why? - who is jon snows dad = Rhaegar

What is the green dragon called= Rhaegal

Jon Snow will ride it whether this season or next

That's more like it, Danny aint going to loose two Dragon so easily, Dragons have major role to play in season 8. NK will get one Dragon, because he is so powerful. I was hopping for some connection between Jon and Rhaegar(the Dragon), last episode but it was too soon, but bet you he was flying over Jon...

At the same time, I have a feeling we will see (this or next season) a show down between Mountain and Hound at some point. Although he is going North for now.

One way to look at WWs is ultimate evil created by Good guys(Children of Forrest), who created them to save themselves from aggression of human. Real world example could be, Industrialization that has created the monster of fossil fuels, that is one of the biggest threat, 200 years ago same fossil fuel was a savior, solved energy problem, raise living standard, saved lives...This has some what of the theme in Martins writing, the line between good and evil are blur. Look at Bran, he is a good guy, but his curiosity of NK, paved the way for NK army to cross the wall, which they were kept for thousands of years...
 
Haven't seen this weeks episode as I'm travelling so have avoided most of this thread.

Have been touring Croatia and presently in Dubrovnik...
It's unbelievably beautiful here just like the show.

This was in reference to a conversation between the Spider (Varys) and Little Finger back in Kings Landing when Joffery was the king. Both where arguing about a disagreement they were going through and I believe LF found out that one of her girls was working Varys as an informant.

He gave the same informant to Joffery who shot and killed her with crossbows (as it was shown in a flashback reel) during the same conversation. Varys then proceeded on to claim that if we do not keep lying about things that go on in Kings Landing then all we will be left with would be chaos and nothing more.

To which, LF replied,

Chaos is a ladder, many who try to climb it fail, never get to try again, the fall breaks them. And some.....are given a chance to climb but they refuse, they cling to the realm or the Gods or love, illusions. Only the ladder is real and the climb is all that is

This conversation happened in isolation between the spider and LF who were not accompanied by anyone else and the fact that Bran knew about this most certainly made LF extremely pale faced :)) - His facial expression was priceless.

Not likely, He'd probably be taken hostage / captive and would, in the end, give valuable Intel to Danny / Jon which would most certainly help her to win Kings Landing. (This is what I think)

Gave in and watched, and OH MY GOD WHAT AN EPISODE.

Easily the best battle of the series. Sick of the Lannisters and Jaimie the child pusher getting away with everything, the looks on their faces when the rumbling started and when the dragon showed up LMAO. I really wanted to see the dragon walk away unscathed because I also wanted to see Bronn burned to a crisp, too cocky of a guy. But man what a battle.

Easily the battle of the series for me. Better than Hearthome, Battle of ********, the Battle of Kingslanding, this was THE battle, loved it.

Btw I couldn't tell at the end, did Jaimie get hit by the attack or did he just take over in the water? Towards the end it was hard to tell if he was drowning and Tyrion's expressions.

10/10 episode. This season is the best since season 4

This season is only 7 episodes. Next season will also be a short one. I feel like I can watch this show for many years to come. Such a brilliant series.

I've watched it twice already. IT WAS THAT GOOD.
 
This show has sort of lost its charm to be honest. I don't feel like supporting any character (apart from tyrion) wholeheartedly.
 
Ok Guys this could be the possible plot line for Season7 Episode 5, read this somewhere online so if you're not into Spoilors and Stuff, please click away right now.

1. Dragonstone

A. Jorah Mormont has come to Dragonstone from Oldtown.

B. He enters the main hall where Tyrion, Davos and Jon Snow are.

C. Tyrion assumes he came back to Dany because he found a cure.

D. Jorah reports that a brother from the nights watch cured him.

E. Jon saids it was his man Sam Tarley.

F. Jon Snow and Jorah meet,

G. Jorah tells Jon that Sam was expelled from the Citadel.

H. Jon understands why Sam helped Jorah, they both loved his father.

I. Jon offers Longclaw back to Jorah but he refuses.

J. On the Beach Theon's men take turns beating him.

K. The Horns sound for Dany's Return. The group comes down to the beach.

L. When the dragons land in front of Jon.

M. He pets them has if they were ghost.

N. Everyone shocked that Jon has control over them.

O. Back in the main hall, Dany consoles a heart broken Missandei.

P. A raven has come from KL, Jaime whats a secret meeting with Tyrion.

Q. Davos is given the task of sneaking Tyrion into KL.

R. Dany meets with Jorah, she saids Sam will be rewarded for helping Jorah.

S. She asks Jorah about the WW, He tells Dany the Story Sam & Gilly told him.

T. Dany dismisses it, Jorah saids with all the things we have seen(Warlocks, The House of the Undying) U. She should believe The WW are real.

V. Tyrion and Davos arrive back from KL.

W. They also Bring Gendry with them. Dany saids for his bravery He will be Given Storms End.

X. Dany orders Jon to go beyond the wall and catch a WW to prove their existence.

Y. Jorah and Gendry volunteer to help Jon.

Z. Before they leave Tyrion hands Jon a raven from Winterfell, Arya and Bran are safe at Winterfell.

AA. The group Head for Eastwatch by the Sea.

BB. On The Boat Davos see Jon watching the Dragons

CC. He tells Davos he can feel Dragons

DD. Another Boat has Arrived to take Melisandre to Asshai


Oldtown


A. Samwell Tarley has been expelled from the Citadel.

B. Sam and Gilly decide to go to Winterfell.

C. While they are gathering there belongings. Gilly tells Sam about the record she was readings.

D. She also took the record. She gives it to Sam, he can't believe it.

E. Jon Always told him his aunt was kidnapped, raped and murdered by Rhaegar.

F. The arch maester told Gilly 2 things,

1 Rhaegar and Lyanna seemed like they were in love.
2 He was at Starfell when Ned Stark came with Lyanna's Body and a baby boy.

G. Sam tells her Jon never knew mother. But the rumor was Ashara Dayne was his mother but she committed suicide.

H. That disproves that rumor. Sam asks Gilly if the arch master told her how much time past between the marriage and Lyanna's death. Gilly saids 9 months,

I. Sam puts the pieces together. Lyanna died in childbirth with Jon.

J. At a inn Sam is asking for boat passage to White Harbor,

K. No one will help him. Sam notices everyone at the inn is afraid of the man sitting in the corner.

L. Sam sits down with the man. He saids his name is Jaqan H'ghar.

M. Sam is looking for passage to Winterfell.

N. To Which Jaqan replies he is going there has well.


Kings Landing

A. Euron is leading a parade through KL. To celebrite the crowns victory over the south. Yara, Tyene and Ellira Sand are being led in chains.

BJaime looks on disgusted, while Cersei is pleased.

C. Cersei clears the crowns debt with the Iron Bank.

D. Jaime Tells Cersei That Olenna admitted to planning Joffrey's murder.

E. Qyburn reports that about the all the Frey's are dead and the The Hound was last seen at the Twins has was Arya Stark.

F. And Jon Snow is at Dragonstone. Jaime admits that a combined army of The North, Wildling, Dothraki and Unsullied could defeat there army.

Q. They arrive at the Dragonpit Tyrion is surprised to see Jaime and has a nice reunion with Bron.

R. Jaime is not happy to see Davos with him. He tells Davos he thought sense Stannis was killed he would be back to pirating.

S. Davos replies, Yes pirating Lannisters. At which Bron Snickers.

T. Jaime tells Tyrion that Cersei wants a parlay between herself and Dany. Davos whispers to Tyrion it might be a trap. But Tyrion agree's to a parlay, Jaime saids here at the Dragonpit in a Fortnight.

U. Tyrion saids yes and no, the parlay will here.

V. But we decide the date, he tells Jaime when the dragons fly over KL they will be behind them.

W. Davos, Gendry and Tyrion are on the beach readying there boat.

X. When the city watch stops them. Davos tries to convince them they are fisherman.

Y. When they go to the boat Gendry kills them both of them with his warhammer and they escape.

G. Sam tells her Jon never knew mother. But the rumor was Ashara Dayne was his mother but she committed suicide.

H. That disproves that rumor. Sam asks Gilly if the arch master told her how much time past between the marriage and Lyanna's death. Gilly saids 9 months,

I. Sam puts the pieces together. Lyanna died in childbirth with Jon.

J. At a inn Sam is asking for boat passage to White Harbor,

K. No one will help him. Sam notices everyone at the inn is afraid of the man sitting in the corner.

Have read this too and this is what I thought:

personally am really trying to like Dany but her decisions like making Jon and co risk their lives to catch a WW is mind boggling and idk if you read the future episode spoilers, but something happens as a result of this.

This dumb ***** has seen dragons and God knows what else like Jorah says and still won't believe in WW even after seeing the carvings in the cave by the children of the forest. What was the point of that scene then?

Couldn't hold the excitement so read up on the other leaks of the remainder of the episodes as well.

I think she's been convinced after the cave scene. Unless she thinks Jon picked up chalk and drew them himself. Lol. She's just too ambitious to get in to King's Landing and couldn't give two hoots about the WW yet

With that heavy armor he was wearing the chances of him drowning are very much a possiblity but there was a reason why they had Bronn shown diving to save him at the last moment.I think he is alive.
 
Why was Sansa disappointed to see Arya fight like a pro? Is she jealous of her siblings special abilities?

He is alive

Jaime is way too big of character to die with a simple screen fade. Even if he would die by drowning they would make it more dramatic
