Game of Thrones [SPOILER ALERT]

So last 3 episodes are 78-80 mins long.

Episode 1: 54 minutes
Episode 2: 58 minutes
Episode 3: 60 minutes
Episode 4: 78 minutes
Episode 5: 80 minutes
Episode 6: 80 minutes

Last words of Ser Alliser before he was hung were: “ I fought, I lost and now I rest. But you lord Snow, you will be fighting this battle forever”

I think this was foreshadowing. Snow will survive but he will keep fighting this battle either as the king or the commander of the night’s watch. Danny is most likely a goner at some point. One of them has to go since they both shouldn’t be alive after finding out the truth about their relationship ( that would be too awkward).

Snow will survive along with one dragon (I expect one more to die by the end).

Would be interesting which side characters would live. Expect Tyrion to live but Jamie to die.

If this happened in the book i would be intrigued Benioff and Weiss don't have the ability for such subtle stuff. They had the option of going northern conspiracy way, we got the nonsense from Dorne. He had the option of showing how smart Roose was we got battle of the ********. They like simple big ticket stuff rather than subtle powerplays.

Just watched episode 2.

Holy crap a borefest of an episode.

Thank god this is the last season.

Compare this crap to the previous seasons and so far this is a big fail. What the f. are they doing man?

Looks like it got leaked a few hours earlier? Downloading it from IPT now to my Plex server let's see if it's any better thn the first one...

Just downloaded and played it's a poor leak the quality is bad i will prefer waiting a bit for more for the better quality...

It's sort of disturbing how much Danny has become obsessed with the throne. She didn't even think about what their relationship meant after finding out the truth.

I think they want to show that she is her father's daughter and crazy runs in the family.

Season 8 episode 2. One of the best game of thrones episodes ever for me

I thought it was one of the weakest, a disappointment. Only the Dani-Jon scene advanced the story at all. They could have done that in minute one of the next episode, dropped this one entire and lost nothing.

Many secondary main characters will be dying in the next episode so this was a good bye episode for them

Ah, fair point. Could be the end for Brienne now she is Knighted. Tormund, Onion Knight too, maybe.

Wonder if Dany will see an opportunity to save Jon, and hesitate?

I will be upset if Ser Jorah isn’t still standing by the conclusion, though.

In My Oponion

Definite Goners-Theon, Pod, Beric, Ed, Greyworm

Maybe-Tormund,Jorah,Missandei, Varys,Gendry,Brienne,Bran

Safe-Jon, Dany,Tyrion,Sansa,Arya,Jaimie,Hound

I expect atleast 60% of first two list to bite the dust come next week.

Good call on Grey Worm, who has just promised happiness to Missandei.

Yeah, Podric’s wight-fodder.

I thought Jorah was a goner but this episode is making me rethink. The dialogue he had gave me the vibe of Jorah being a new lord commander of the nights watch (if there is a Nights watch once this is all done)0

Add Beric Dondarrion to that list, however I do think his death will be a massive plot device

Next episode is gonna have the most major deaths in a single episode in GOT history I reckon

There will be one more battle after this with Cersei. So expect few more to die from the survivors from upcoming battle.

There was a major development as to what the Night King is after and how they plan on getting to him.

But yeah apart from that and Dany finding out the truth about Jon, the rest was just a sort of goodbye episode.

I was expecting Bronn to show up at Winterfell in this one but he didn’t.

Why would Bronn show up at winterfell. That would have made no sense whatsoever considering what he was up to and tasked with in the first episode.

As good as the first series was, I felt this show became unwatchably bad midway through series 4. Surprised how popular it it still is

This episode was an ode to the supporting cast. It was the human element that has been missing in the rush to get through the story.

The feels will be real when half of them snuff it.

Podrick will die heroically defending Brienne. She will survive and become the Stark's General.

Tormund will see it through as he is the face of the wildlings.

The Hound will survive as he has to take down the Mountain.

I reckon Lyanna may get taken out, leaving Jorah to take leadership of House Mormont and redeem himself.

Greyworm to snuff it. He was close before when he was saved by Selmy.

I think Beric still has a part to play.

Ser Davos to die. Jon has Sam and Bran now. The other crow who turned up to Winterfell may also die.

Theon to die the best death, redemption arc.

The main players should be safe until later in the series.

My understanding was Cersei tasked Bronn to kill Jaime and Tyrion both if they survive the WW. I assumed that would mean Bronn has to march to Winterfell as well. I guess I could be wrong about it. Maybe he will go to them to aid them and turn on Cersei Is what I was thinking..

I hope it gets better after the 2nd episode, so far it's been average.

It's a fantasy show and people need to understand its' not supposed to make sense. If it did, you had 3 dragons who could have flew at the knight king and killed him in the last season but this would be too simple.

He’s immune to fire. It has to have internal logic.

Too many filler scenes in this episode. Only 6 episodes and yet this many unnecessary scenes? Unbelievable.

Seems like Dan and Dave were done with the story last season.

I liked the opening scene of Jaimie's trial and the Targearyon reveal at the end. But how could Jon be so sure it was true? Dany's reaction was totally natural.

Heard Dany might die in ep 3. Hopefully that won't be the case.

The second episode was way better than the first one. Only one scene could have been better where Bran told the audience about himself and his relation with the Night King.

Otherwise, this episode had the soul and dialogues that we wanted to see when the characters met one another after years.

This was a very good build up to the war. The episode had a brilliant start and two cliffhangers in the one ending scene, where as the middle part was very sentimental, it brought back all the memories of previous seasons, the characters when they were so young, all that they had gone through together!

Things are already getting very sad. There will be plenty of deaths next episode, possibly the greatest war episode that the TV has so far seen. And we will be left with only 3 episodes afterwards!

I personally loved it. The emotions and sentiments were strong and it did feel like closure for some of the characters. Also, the slow buildup was important because the next episode is probably going to be the most chaotic episode of the series.

I thought scenes had their purpose. Characters were waiting for the war thinking that they might not live another day, and they were reminiscing their past , sharing memories etc. One of the most beloved characters, Tyrion, delivered this episode.

For years, we had been hearing about the Night and the dead. I believe this episode did its part.

The dialogue is so clunky now that the show has moved completely from the books (been the case for roughly two seasons now). I miss the elegance of those previous seasons...but hey, as long as the battles here match up to last season, I'll be happy enough.

Also, what is the point of Bran not knowing anything useful?

Yea but feel with only a few eps left they could have focused on more important stuff. It was total fan service.

Arya's romance scene was cringeworthy as she is still a kid for many.

Brace yourself. From actor who plays Bran on last 4 episodes:

"Get Some Tissues"

"It's brutal, it's terrifying, and I honestly think...at one point or another experience every single emotion on the spectrum"

So, many many characters will be dead.

I don't think he had enough time to make it to Winterfell before the Night King. Bronn has to do kill them only of they survive the attack on Winterfell. I am pretyy sure Tyrion would survive jusst for reunion sakes.

Lyanna wishes Jorah good fortunes. RIP Jorah

Sam: “I’ll see you when it’s over.” Thanks for the death sentence, Sam.

Grey Worm: “I’ll take you back to Naath when this is over”

Arise Ser Brienne of Tarth you’ve been Knighted. RIP

Also, they've mentioned the crypts being safe like 8 times. Honestly, I don't think the crypts are that safe.

Brienne

Tormund

Grey Worm

Beric

Theon

All probably going to die next week.

I don't understand what some people want. A death or a battle every episode? Or just something that allows the "OMG!! GOT!!" reactions on social media.

The payoff is only good after the set build up. Ned Stark's death was the first real *** moment in Game of Thrones. That came after 6 episodes of build up.

Here you have a battle that will likely see half the cast die. There has to be some anticipation. For people that look for plot advancement...Im sorry, but GoT gave that up when it realised that their popularity lies in providing shock factor moments to the ******* out there, and the source material ran out.

I though the episode was good - you will only feel the death of Tormund, if are reminded of him acting like a loveable idiot here.

The only annoying thing was the cop out on the Night King's motivation. I thought that was very...'meh'. Didn't sell it for me. Just like in Lost...they built up the idea of Jacob and the Man in Black so much, but their motivations just didnt feel satisfying when it came to the reveal. Hopefully GRRM does a better job, because I think this is it from the show on that front.

I remember an episode where Tyrion told Bronn that if he ever gets paid anything to kill him he will double it.

I dont think Bran has revealed everything maybe he is still figuring out himself. The strange WW symbols that they keep focusing need to have some deeper meaning which will be revealed by 5th or final episode imo.

The two hours were solid enough.

It has been known for a good year or so that the third outing was going to depict the ultimate battle, so these back-to-back openers were always going to be about building up, getting the ducks in a row, and saying some farewells.

I have seen leaks for the whole season including the ending, and so far they have been spot on - trust me when I say that if the leaks continue to be this accurate, and the execution is there, that the final four episodes will all be absolutely incredible.

According to the 2nd episode, Bran said no dragon has ever tried so just dont know. Unless you have read the books?

Not read them. He took out Viserion with one strike. I think it is going to take something very special to stop him. Drogon or Rhaegal will die fighting Undead Viserion, I think.

With the wall down, the watch has ended as well. I hate to say this, but I am almost sure that Ser Jorah will be out in the war.

I personally subscribe to the theory that Drogon will take out Viserion, just like how the Khal killed Viserion when he threatened his own sister.

So sad only 4 episodes left, I'm going to miss GOT because it's my all-time fav TV series.

So ran into a bunch of new theory. Based on a recent interview where one of The show runners said that only targaryens can ride a dragon, some people are saying night king is actually rhaegar Targaryen since he can ride the undead dragon.

Don’t know how much sense that makes.

Witcher's coming sometime in 2019, if you like violence, graphic nudity, and good story, witcher should provide all that that is if they stick to the book themes. Not to mention HBO are going to do i don't even know how many spinoff's. There is a lot left to explore in ASOIAF world.

Definitely not true pretty sure there were non Targaryean dragon riders during Dance of the dragons.

Agree with this. I don't think there was a lot wrong with the first episode, everything is being set up to take us to the finale of the season, and I thought this episode was great just for the interaction of the characters who are all arriving in Winterfell. Not everything has to be crash bang action, we are seeing a lot of emotion here, Theon Greyjoy's redemption being particularly gratifying for me. Loving this season so far, also dreading the death of some of my favourites which might be coming in next week's episode.

This new theory looks legit if Night King can survive fire.

I’ve heard this too but then the undead are under the NK’s control, anything undead whether they were animals or people so surely an undead dragon will also be under his control?!?!

Anyway, loved the first two episodes... wonder if a major character will be killed in episode three only to be bright back to life in episode 4 by the red witch...

Reckon at least 3 characters will be killed off and rest well head off to Kings Landing for big one..

Personal theory only...

Anyone else note the parallels between Jon/NK and Neo/Smith from The Matrix.

Jon and Neo allegedly the “One” who will bring balance to the equation and were resurrected for that purpose. Their existence is life itself. They believe completely in individual rights, freedoms and choice. Morally, they seem incapable of lying or dishonour. They choose to be good for the sake of being good.

NK and Smith are the ideological, ontological and teleological opposite of the One. They claim to be as free as the One, but seem to lack understanding of the concept of choice. They exist only to destroy everything and return the world to zero. They are utterly ruthless and amoral. They want to forcibly copy their own image onto everybody else until nothing else remains.

I think Jon Snow will kill the Night King. Whether Jon will survive the experience is another matter - Neo sacrificed himself to “delete” Smith whilst being plugged into the Source of the Matrix; and a similarly grand and selfless act may be required of Jon to finally erase the Night King.

Perhaps Bran could warg into Jon; Jon could allow himself to be “taken” by the Night King; and that is the only way that Jon, still under Bran’s control, can get close enough to the Night King to slay him. (And all the other White Walkers would then also fall.)

I would also not be surprised if in this season we hear the Night King speak. Maybe only to Bran though.

The NK and WW buildup is 8 seasons long and the whoel show was built around it so i don't think NK is going to die in next episode he will probably survive till the last episode and maybe survive even thn? and the end of the show different to what we the fans expect

NK heading south... Which is why we didn't see him or the dragon at the end of episode two..
The Golden army will be part of the walking dead before John Snow and his remaining army get there..

Then we'll see the battle of all battles at the end with Sarsie standing beside the KN with her blue eyes and short white hair... John Snow/Dany vs NK, Jamie Vs Sersie, The Hound Vs The "white walker" Mountain...

OR

They all die and the NK rules the seven kingdoms.

That doesn’t make any sense. When Night King was created by the children, Targaryens didn’t exist.

I want to read them too but some are hit or miss. There’s only one event they all have in common that I’m very sure will happen now.

Haha.. is it really to scale? Put it in your man cave if you have one or bedroom. My wife would kill me too if I tried something like that in the living room.. that’s hilarious..

Bhai I live in a modest 3 BHK apartment, no place really for a man cave, it had a small store room that I converted into a Puja Room right after we moved in. Don't know what she'll do once it arrives, haven't gathered the courage yet to tell her. I might have to take the black for a few days if things go south.:ssmith

He used some sort of spear. Is he going to have 2 spears in hand and launch them at the same time against dragons?

Its a fairy story tale. Ive gave up on it making sense because it doesnt but still a good watch.

Actually pretty interesting theory if you ask me, if you read the books you couldn't help but think if Rhaegar is the most important character of the saga, no one has influenced the seven kingdom as much as him, his death set the tone and directly or indirectly effected everything that has happened since then. I do not remember reading in the books what happened to him in the aftermath of Battle of the trident. If they can string everything together, connect all the dots and show us how he ended up in the north and become NK, then hell why not?

Night King is 1000's of years old. If you are going to take books in account, the more plausible theory is mance rayder was rhaegar, but in the show he is dead.

After all the hype, is that it?

Reminds me of Snoke..

Such a letdown, a real bummer. Why was there no lighting, all the while I was staring blankly at a dark screen. Why did they invest so much time on the Night King if his end was going to be this tame? And why don't we know more about him, his past, his motives, his plan? Lame episode of a fast declining TV show, glad that only 3 episodes remain.

Such a high budget for this episode and they ignored the lighting :inti. And the scenes were so fast and choppy, it looked like Michael Bay's Transformers nonsense. I still can't get over the comical writing either.

Mediocre episode. the show has become fan fiction now. Really ever since they passed the books it has been declining. Hopefully the last 3 episodes will be better.

8 seasons thrown down the drain. Building up the White Walkers, only for them to be defeated in one episode, in their first major battle.

Unbelievable plot armours for most characters.

Not even going to bother with the rest of the episodes now. Huge letdown.

:))

I think we can end the debate that Game of Thrones bests Breaking Bad or The Wire as the best TV show of all time.

Mediocre writing since season 5 are bringing this show down despite the cinematic battle scenes from season 6-7.

Completely ruined the Night King plot, and ridiculous plot armour for some characters, really wonder how George R. R. Martin feels about it.

Lol@the wrist slitting.

Why don't you just wait until the season ends to cast judgement? I reckon there's still a bit more to be explained.

Was a good, thrilling episode, but admittedly, not what I was expecting.

George R R Martin's book ending and this series will be similar. Lol why people are so upset?

White Walkers was never the most important thing. It was always about the iron throne

Surprised at some of the responses. I thought it was awesome. Well worth the wait. The last ten minutes or so were magnificent.
