Game of Thrones [SPOILER ALERT]

The kings that are dead:

Mad King, Fat King, Gay King. When will the douche king Joffrey die? :13:

Bran will be the one sitting on Iron throne in the end. You read it here first.

Prediction but LF you must put it in spoilers man!!!!!

My prediction : Jon snow will be king

Why? I reckon like many others he is Ned Starks nephew and only says ge is the ******* son so robert won't kill him.

He's a wolf spawned with a dragon you say? Interesting. Did cross my mind as well.

unless Martin is gonna pull a fast one i reckon its quite obvious

We know that Ned went to rescue Lyanna from the Tower of Joy with some buddies. There they found 3 members of the kingsguard including the lord commander. Only ned and one of his guys survive the fight, during which they hear a scream . We are told Lyanna died in a pool of blood and that her last words were "promise me Ned".

So why were the kingsgaurd there even though the war was lost ? : To protect the future heir

The pool of blood can easily be explained by a messy childbirth ending in death

Her last words can be seen as a promise to protect her son from Robert. He would obviously only see Jon as the son of man who stole and in his mind killed his wife. Not to mention the fact Robert has stated all the time how he wants to kill all the Targaryens without exception.

also given the fact Jon looked like a stark the only way ned could protect him would be to say he is an illegitimate son.

Many fans have talked about this theory and in my mind its fits perfectly, also sets up Jon as the future king .

Yup. Makes sense. Except its George R R we're talking about...

Btw...that is one battle I'd *love* to read about. How Ned defeats Sir Arthur Dane, sword of the morning. I think his friend, something Reed, a descendent of the children of the forest might have had a hand in it.

Yeah can't wait either. Bought the books but too lazy to read them. Bought the audibooks but too lazy to listen to them. Cmon already! :))

:)) I have an app which has all the books. But too long. There is a reason they are called doorstoppers.

For those who care, Emilia Clarke has broke up dating this guy

Took me a while to get going in the first book but i read the 2nd and 3rd books in matter of days it got so addictive.

Good episode. Targaryen side was excellent. So was the story of Gay king's wife whose character is interesting to say the least. Poor Tyrion :(

Good episode. Felt quite sorry to see the condition of Ser Davos and Stannis after the defeat. Stannis is a shattered man :(.

Also significant scene between Tyrion and his father. Good to see Ser Selmy finally, have been missing him for quite a while. Next episode must have Theon, Arya, Bran and Sandor Cleagane

I don't have much interest in him anymore to be honest. :yk He's a spent force. :sachin

Margaery Tyrell looks so much more gorgeous this season btw.

Re: Game of Thrones

Stannis should snap out of the charms of that red woman. Btw, stupid from Davos to attack her. Could have planned it.

I was giggling at Stannis' expressions lol. :)) Great actor.

"Did my hand fall from my wrist !? " ,

This line always cracks me up , at first I used to catch glimpses of GOT but the CNN report itched me to start following it properly from the beginning , which will be right after my college is finished .. can't wait ^_^ .

Stannis should snap out of the charms of that red woman. Btw, stupid from Davos to attack her. Could have planned it.

Davos got mad when he was mocked about his son.

I still have faith that Stannis will do the right thing.

Hmm. The actor makes Stannis more sympathetic than he probably is on the script. Dude after all killed his brother with a friggin shadow.

She already knew his intentions anyway.

Yeah but still a little restraint never harmed anyone.

Re: Game of Thrones

I still can't put a finger on whether she is good or evil. She is probably selfish. Smarter than the Joff who is an insult to rocks. Even Cersei is losing her mojo after too many days away from her Kingslayer/Queenlover.

Joffrey had one or two smart lines in this episode, sitting at table with the Tyrells.

As for Stannis, I don't know how he could ever become king without the red lady. She's his only hope but I'm certain he will do the right thing and free Daavos.

She's annoying as hell. Can't stand her from her days in Tudors. Has that smug pig face expression on her.

Still refreshing for GOT as there is severe lack of feminine women. :asadrauf I mean just look at the roster man, every woman's been weird in some way or the other.

His brother was a traitor who not only tried to usurp the throne but threatened to permanently destroy the system of succession.

Renly would have also killed Stannis

Haha you do not like Daenerys? And wait till Gay king's wife bares her fangs. You will have to fall back on the babe that is Brienne.

His brother was a traitor who not only tried to usurp the throne but threatened to permanently destroy the system of succession.

Renly would have also killed Stannis

Sure but not with a shadow! In war, everything's fine but the backdoor entry kill was distasteful IMO. Besides, in the council, Renly was probably the most sensible guy around. Stannis has zero tact despite being brave and a fabulous fighter.

Atleast, he died the way he lived. Penetrated from behind by another man!

stannis is an awsome character

I think the show will post him in a badder light and I know every character has their good and bad but after reading the books I reckon Stannis is one of the few "good " characters

I won't go into spoilers or anything , but his sense of duty is awesome. It pretty clear the only reason he if after the throne is becuse by law it is actually his. When you think about it he is quite simply the rightful heir

Similarly I love Charles dance performance as twyin lannister. He is probably the biggest douche in the books but his actor really made me like him. His scenes with arya are probably my favorite, shows that everyone has some humanity

Yes, the throne is his birthright he inherited from his father, the king, whose father was the king too all the way till 50 generations :yk

Cant stand British accent, will have to wait till next week for Spanish dub.

Haven't read the book, not going to anyway, I just scroll through the post quickly, whenever ppl start to go on about what the character does in the book.

I enjoyed the first episode. Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion and Jon Snow are my fav. character so far. Robb Stark hasn't impressed me yet. Esme Bianco is the 2nd most beautiful actress in the show, as you expect. Cersei Lannister is also impressive. I think she holds the key for any political trick.

I don't think Targaryen will reach King's Landing any time soon in this season, may be in season finale. Don't mind if they go slow and take time.

Talking about performances, Theon dude really kicked it last season. Quite an under rated character. What is theon will never die!

Game of Thrones

Liked the first episode...highlight of show is the conversation between tyrion and his father....have a feeling it will play a pivotal role in tyrions actions and how the series progresses. I think jon snow will feel more integral part of his new group...rather than being always an outsider as a stark(******* son of ned stark). Dissapointed there was no arya stark...my fav character along with tyrion and daenerys. I hate the red lady...she is inching towards king joffrey in my hate-o-meter.....at least joffrey makes the show interesting.

Dannny's dragons got some swag, loved the way one of them ate the freakin fish. :akhtar

Damn I hope they fry the sick puppy who cut off his man's nipple. Constantly insulting Daenerys and not even man enough to do so in the language she can understand.

But she does understand it since she is Targaeryan and grew up in one of the free cities?

Does she? I don't know. I didn't read the books. Maybe if she does know and feigning ignorance, she is smarter than I thought. Good!

Out of all those fighting in Westros, he has the only legitimate claim

The one who has the legitimate claim is the one who wins.

What is Stannis? The brother of a king who stole the throne from Targaeryen.

Who is Joffrey? The brother of the true Heir.

Who is Robb? The son of the main actor of the rebellion against Targaeryen.

Hell, even the guy who is traveling with Arya has more claim on the throne than Stannis.
Out of all them, Renly was the best king. Too bad he died :'(

Anyways, I see a lot of indignation about changes. Well, I think the show writers totally nailed it and, except for Ghost, they really improved the book and cut out the worst parts. Looking at what they did with season 1 and 2, I stopped reading the last book. I wish it was the script so that we wouldn't have the lame purists all over against the show. (Now, cast the stones :p)

The arabic-like jibber jabber is supposed to be Valyrian.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3yhug1y36E

Ser Jorah clearly speaks it. He turns around and doesn't look happy when he says ''Tell the old man he spells like ****'' :yk

As for Danny, she doesn't turn around at ''Westerosi whore'' but Valyrian is the language of the Targaeryens who come from Valirya.

Yes, the throne is his birthright he inherited from his father, the king, whose father was the king too all the way till 50 generations :yk

This is background knowledge from the books but isn't really spoilers.

Robert's grandmother was a Targ. His father was King Aerys cousin.

At the time of the war this was the line of succession.

1. King Aerys
2. Rhaegar
3. Aegon
4. Viserys
5. Rhaenys
6. Rhaella
7. Robert
8. Stannis
9. Renly

(if Dany had being alive she'd have being 7th)

Rhaegar had the hots for Ned's younger sister (despite being a married father of two) and eloped with her.
Ned's elder brother Brandon was bit mad and went down to King's Landing with a group of his mates (including Jon Arryn's heir and nephew) to challenge Rhaegar to a fight.
Aerys killed everyone but Brandon and then summoned Ned's father.
He then decided to have a trial by combat and declared that fire was his champion and tied up the two Starks and burned them death.

He then sent a message to Jon Arryn to turn over his wards, Ned and Robert so they could be executed. Arryn told him no and that's how the Arryn-Baratheon-Stark alliance started.

The three decided to dispose of the lunatic King and get a new King which would be Robert (due to his Targaryen heritage).

He won and was acknowledged by all seven kingdoms as the rightful king. Which makes Stannis the rightful heir because he was the heir of the last recognised King.

Oh wow....I havent read the books...thanks for sharing !!!

One thing I love about watch Game of Thrones while it is airing....is the discussions that happen on forums...twitter and fan sites of GOT....there is so much stuff to discuss in each episode unlike other tv shows !!!

Re: Game of Thrones

The only irritating aspect of GOT fandom is when they badmouth other shows on their respective forums. Imdb forum for Spartacus is filled with GOT trolls.

Same with breaking bad vs dexter.

So, let me get this straight? Robert was the rightful king because he killed and exiled the 6 who were before him in the line of succession? :yk

Also, he was not 7th only because his grandma was a Targaeryen, he was 6th because Baratheons were founded by the ******* brother of Aegor the Conqueror, who married the last daughter of the Lords who owned current Baratheon lands.
After that, Baratheons regularly married Targaeryen and Robert's grandma was only the last of a long list of Targs+Baratheon marriages.

He personally only killed one.

Aegon the Conquerer was King because all the the Kings of the time acknowledged him as King.
All the top ranked Lords (Arryns, Baratheons, Greyjoys, Lannisters, Martels, Starks, Tullys and Tyrells) accepted and acknowledged Robert as King.

Rhego would have been the real beast. Fire+Khal = Mayhem.

And he fought with Ned Stark over it and married Cersei Lannister so he was clearly behind Tywin killing the 2 kiddos. 2 were exiled (3 with Danny), he killed one and Jaime killed one. So, it's all Robert's fault. :yk

Robert was just too jealous that his fiance could love a true man like Rhaegar over a macho drunk adultere like himself and put the 7 kingdoms to fire because of it.
And then, once king, he goes around claiming that Rhagar raped her. What a douche :yk

Now, all lords are (will) acknowledging Joffrey, Robb or Renly as kings, I don't see why Stannis gets upset because he is losing his true right. If anything, Renly deserved much more the crown than Stannis, at least he managed to federate much more than Stannis.

Subtle and fascinating episode. Many great lines from both Tyrells, Joff, Jaime and the brotherhood. And Cersei bitching as usual. Starks and Cat had very emtional scenes.

But what's the deal with Boltons?

Why does Roose speak against Rob with WhiteBeard? Why is he interrogating and torturing Theon without telling Rob? My guess is that he wants to know whether Bran and Rick are still alive and capture them for their own count. Which would be surprising because Starks are the oldest and most honourable lords of westeros and northern bannermen are the most fidel ones thanks to Stark courage and honesty. And Robb is a pretty good king too.

Got a goosebump when Talisa and Cat were talking.

Either GOT is very well acted or very well scripted or bit of both, enjoyed first two episodes of this season.

No Daenerys. A man disapproves....

This man approves. She is utterly boring. It is known. Oh no, my dragons. Oh, there they are. Dracarys. Lesbian scene. Mormont kiss. Old royalist enters. Rhagear bwahahawa. Next city. Dragons lost. Found. Dracarys. Lesbian. Rhaegar. Khal Drogo memory. Cry. Vengeance. Next city. It is known.

As is Snow and the wall. Or you know nothing. Neva seen a Gggiant? You nu nuthing. Never seen a wuurrrg? You nu nothing. (Just won't understand that Snuh never was north of the wall).
Mance mocks knights, Sam is pathetic (but will be useful sometime in the future), NightWatch walks, Ghost is useful, show zombies. Repeat. If boring, show a Whitewalker.
Oh yeah, forgot about Mormont's mornic dialogues. ''I Forbid you to die'' ''You hade one job''.
Wth? Halfhand and Aemon are the good ones but we won't see them anytime soon.

All the CGI budget on these boring plotlines

I'm a noob too. A critical one, nevertheles :p

Only thing I read is the first part of the one that starts with Daenerys in Quarth. I didn't enjoy and so here I am, like you, waiting for 10 episodes each year.

Moving scene when Lady Stark was talking about Jon Snow.

Almost shed a tear. Which I did when Ned said ''Which of you was an arrowman at 10?''. I was told this scene doesn't exist in the book so I think the show writers are really nailing it. Another great scene they added is when Greyjoy burns Robb's letter.

Although I think they are going too easy on the fat jokes :dav
''Half of Westeros is starving and look at him'' ''Maybe half of Westeros is starving because of him'' ''Walk piggy'' ''Aye. You are too slow''

I find the Daenerys scenes most intriguing, i enjoy seeing locations such as Qarth, the House of the Undying, meeting the Warlocks & the Unsullied.

Far more interesting than Bran and his three eyed crow.

Bran's journey is quite intriguing actually, i am expecting to witness some really priceless visions through his warg connections. :amir

That I agree on. Environements are better. But Danny's storyline sucks.

Bran's storyline has Hodor. And two wolves. And the guy from Love Actually. And Hodor.
(+I'm intrigued by this crow)

This was another good scene in the episode, sick background music to end it. Pure evil.

Notice how she is testing Joffrey and how he is turned on at the idea of killing. I'm starting to like her, witty caracter. She protects Loras by saying he wanted **** and is afraid when Joff says he wants to end this perversion. Also ''If I wanted to kill someone there'' and the mirror shows Joffrey.
Damn that biceps :p

Best dialogue of the episode ''If the throne was made of cocks, Renly would never have gotten off it'' and ''One can't chose who he loves'' both from Jaime. Clearly my favourite caracter.
