Jesus did not die according to Islam. It was mase to appear as though he died. Someone else was put in his place. Jesus was lifted to heaven as per Islam.
Christians believe Jesus died on the cross. Their whole religion is based on Jesus dying on the cross.
Ghamdi is not a scholar but more of a propaganda promoted to modernize Islam. He has no credibility. He is a guy molded by philosophers who inserts his philosophy everywhere. According to him every animal is halal apart from pork.
Mahdi is not a myth. And Jesus did not die according to Quran. It's clearly written in it. Think you're only uttering what Hamza Ali Abbasi recently posted with utmost confidence who went to learn religion from Ghamdi to find a halal celebrity "Islam" of living.
I am not a follower of Shiite faith so I don't know for sure as to what they really believe in terms of Mahdi. Cause the twelver Imam followers are one of the sub sects of Shiites. Not all of their sects believe in that ideology. A lot of Shias I have met have a very similar faith to what a lot of Sunnis believe in.
Even with that there's a lot of sub sects of Sunnis. There's a lot sub sects that divide the followers in every religion.
I would request both of you to let go of the childhood stories that our parents taught us after hearing it from local mullahs. Lot of things which you take as "stock islam" have in actual no roots in Islam and the Holy Quran. Bunny Rabbit, your behavior, is a classic example of a guy who called Ghamdi a "propoganda promoter" just because he does not likes his false views to be corrected. If you want to look at religion and understand it truly, you need to let go of your beliefs that you have held on so strong your whole life even though they could be absolutely wrong.
It is not just Ghamdi, but Allama Iqbal as well who does not believe in the second coming of Jesus. It is purely because it is rooted in the Holy Quran.
Now, read this:
“And when Allah will say, ‘O Jesus, son of Mary, didst thou say to men, “Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah?”’, he will answer, ‘Holy art Thou. I could never say that to which I had no right. If I had said it, Thou wouldst have surely known it. Thou knowest what is in my mind and I know not what is in Thy mind. It is only Thou Who art the Knower of hidden things. I said nothing to them except that which Thou didst command me – “Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” And I was a witness over them as long as I remained among them, but since Thou didst cause me to die, Thou hast been the Watcher over them; and Thou art Witness over all things.’” (Surah al-Maidah: Ch.5: V.117-118)
In this brief statement, Jesusas takes full responsibility for his community while he was alive and a guardian over them. He assures Allah the Almighty that for as long as he was present among his people, he ensured that they followed the right path, and believed in only one God.
However, in the next part of his response, Jesusas states that he cannot be held responsible for his people’s misguidance after Allah caused him to die, because he was no longer among them to correct their false beliefs.
Jesusas explains his lack of knowledge in regard to what transpired following his demise and states, “[O Allah,] Since Thou didst cause me to die, Thou hast been the Watcher over them.”
This clearly shows that Jesus ONLY came to the world once and not TWICE. Read more here:

I am sure you are shook, and if you are not and still think that people like Ghamdi are only promoting propoganda then you are allowed to wallow in your well of ignorance and engage in your fun end of time lord of the rings stories!
Now coming back to Mahdi, did you know Hazrat Ali had a third son as well who outlive both Hassan and Husayn? Bet you didnt know that, did you? Did you know when was the first time, the term "Mahdi" was coined. It was FOR HIM.
"Ibn al-Hanafiyya was called "the Mahdi," "the rightly-guided," which then was simply a pledge of confidence in his knowledge, character, and judgment over those of the rival caliphs. In 692 he traveled to Damascus and swore allegiance to Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan.[8] In 700 he died in Medina, but thereafter a legend grew up that he was not dead, but living in seclusion on Mount Radwa near Medina, protected and fed by wild animals, and that he would, in God's good time, return to establish justice and true religion in the world. Thus arose the legend of the Mahdi as savior"
Bunny, you are not a Shia but a lot of Mahdi and black flag Ahadith you hear are the fabrications of the Abbasids. Thats why i request you to read Islamic history and not your local mullahs drivel.
Mahdi is nothing but a fabrication of Abbasids to consolidate their power as they literally house arrested the last two known descendants of the Prophet (the 10th and 11th Shia Imam) and then the latter 'scholars' adopted the Mahdi concept and mixed it with Jewish and Christian beliefs resulting in the modern Mahdi and Dajjal concept.
Sorry to you, and all of those engaging in mindless end of times stories. I am sure they are fun to engage in but have no relevance to actual Islam.
