You have to get the pronounciations correct which might effect your Qaafs in Urdu....One slip of the tongue when saying words in french could land you in hot water or a bucket on your head :P

I speak only English fluently.

My French and German are pretty good.

I know a little bit of Hindi/Urdu and Spanish.

Would like to learn Arabic and will take courses at uni.

I think I'm very unusual in doing 2 modern languages for A level!

I speak English and Urdu.

Plus I know enough Thai to just about get by (ie....give directions to taxi driver, asking what certain dishes are in restaurants etc). Would love to be fluent in this and hopefully will be eventually.

How many language can you understand/speak and which do you wanna learn?

I can speak and understand English fluently

I can understand punjabi but mildly, same goes for urdu but I can't speak it, I hope to learn both.

My other languages I hope to learn is Pashto, Farsi, German, and Chinese/Russian.

Does anyone have any tips on how to start learning languages such as Pashto and Farsi to?

Can speak English and Kashmiri/Pahari (not sure what exactly the name of the language is) fluently.

Can speak Urdu and Punjabi semi fluently.

I'm learning Arabic.

dzor, why Pashto ? In terms of popularity it's limited to Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan mostly and unless you're looking to get married to a Pushtun it isn't worth learning.

Time changes everyone - your thoughts and ideas evolve and adapt all the time particularly in your teens.

You can download Memrise application for android. May be its there on iOS as well. Amazing language learning application.

I can speak Urdu, Pashto and English fluently.

Am learning Arabic nowadays. But too slow nowadays.

English, Arabic, Urdu and Romanian fluently. Very good in Deutsch. Passable Italian and Spanish.

English, French and Urdu

Preference and fluency in that order..

English, Arabic. I learnt a bit of French in school although I won't be fluent at it now. Urdu
I need to learn Spanish since I'm gonna go to States to practice Medicine.
I want to learn Mandarin but I'm afraid I'll put too much on my plate. So I mainly want to perfect my Urdu, since I have a slight accent and lack of vocabulary due to not living in Pakistan.

I din't know how to speak Urdu fluently until I was 16. My parents would speak to me in Urdu at home and I would reply in English because I was encouraged from a very young age in school to speak in English.

I would like to learn spanish. I watch spanish serials on youtube with english subtitles. Some users are kind enough to translate but most of them are untranslated. So i am trying to learn spanish just so that i can watch the serials which i love.

I can speak english hindi marathi and telugu fluently. Read and write hindi english and marathi. I spent few years in oman and had arabic as subject but now it's been many many years so i can't speak properly or even remember to write.

Urdu, English, Malay, Arabic, Turkish, a little Mandarin and Spanish.

Bound to dab here and there when you can't live in 1 place for more than 5 years

I know English, Hindi, Assamese. Bemgali and a bit of basic Spanish.

Want to learn French.

Fluent in English, French, Urdu and Punjabi.

I'm decent at German but hope to become fluent within a few years.

After that, I would like to try learning Spanish but anymore than that would be too much as I couldn't practice them all at the same time.

Well, I wouldn't forget French, English and Punjabi even if I never use them again, but the others require practice. I love hearing and learning basic words in languages like Greek, Italian, Norse, Icelandic, Farsi, Romanian, Dutch, Catalan, Pashto, Romansh,... But I'm probably never learning them, just being fluent in Spanish and German would be awesome.

It's a one-dimensional mix as all of them are spoken in similar areas. Languages like Mandarin or Swahili will be very important in tomorrow's world so a lot of schools are starting to offer them but they don't appeal to me very much. I guess I just really like our little IE family.

Fluent Hindi,Haryanvi,english,bengali
understand punjabi,marwadi and sindhi

Fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi. Learnt a bit of French but have forgotten it.

Fluent in English, Urdu, Pashto and Hindko. Because of the latter, I am decent at Punjabi as well because Hindko is simply a dialect of Punjabi.

Know some basic Spanish and Arabic words and phrases as well.

Fluent in English,Bangla,Hindi.
Understand Urdu,Panjabi,Tamil

Read Arabic.

Want to learn Mandarin,Spanish,French,Portuguese,Zulu,Arabic,Sanskrit,Pali,Hebrew.

Fluent in Urdu, English and also Punjabi to some extent. I can speak French fairly well and understand about 80% of it since I learned it at school. Used to speak Balochi as a child but not anymore - don't even understand much of it anymore. Around 6 months ago, I started taking classes for German and therefore I can speak basic German and communicate well for a foreigner.

English mother tongue

German can read and understand most things I think. I speak alright but grammar in this language is just ridiculous but Germans can understand me.

Plan on learning Dutch as its a mix of German-English when I'm finished with German. Then maybe even an Asian language if I wanna go nuts. Plus French or Italian.
