you seem to have NO answers and frustation is evident by wat u r writing...
just a request, read some literature about YOUNUS KHAN and then talk....
u have been writing fiction since yesterday
Why should I ask anyone when I have followed his career since ball one. Yes I have been writing 'fiction' because you don't know how to use Google. It seems like you still haven't been able to source the reputable international website that conducted his interview and quoted him. There is so much fantasy in your last post that I don't know where to begin, but I will make a brief attempt even though I know it will sail over your head.
Firstly, he was not treated harshly till 2005. He was simply not consistent enough, and repeatedly got exposed by great Australian, South African and Caribbean bowlers. His performances in the UAE vs Australia in 2002, in the Caribbean in 2002 and in SA in 2002-2003 were too poor for him to get a consistent run. He only found his feet in Test cricket in 2005, after which he became a consistent run machine. Up until that point, he was similar to Shafiq. A hundred every now and then, but too many low scores to ignore.
Secondly, he never kept for a prolonged period of time. He only kept in emergency because he was the best slip fielder in the team and also the fittest. Taufeeq Umar has actually kept in more matches than Younis, does that also make him a team man? What do you think of Umar Akmal? He was made to keep for a couple of years even though he isn't a specialist keeper. Is he the biggest Pakistani team man of all time?
Now as far as Mahela is concerned, he wasn't a great ODI player. However, he was comfortably better than Younis, even though the overall stats do not reflect that. He has a century in a World Cup semifinal and final, Younis has failed miserably in every World Cup.
Yes Younis is not a team man. A team man does not force himself into a World Cup squad because of his personal ambition, even though he does not deserve to play, and neither does he turn down captaincy in the last moment, only to accept the offer two years later.
However, like I said, you have made up your mind already. You don't seen anything wrong with his actions and words and consider him a saint. Well, good for you. However, please don't attempt to convince me with your fiction. I don't need to rely on you when I have followed him since his debut.
