Dude creamed the same attack in their own backyard in the last series.
I'm all for calling a hack a hack, Guptill is no hack in LOI's. He was our best player along with McCullum and Boult in the 2015 WC.In a jamodi

Kane already has a clutch innings.... Eden Park 2015, he guided the side home against Australia.Williamson needs to stand up in this tournament. Kohli and Smith have clutch knocks in icc tournaments. Time for Williamson to produce a big knock.

When I say hack, I mean zero technique and no ability against quality bowlers.A hack is a hack in any format. Just because he plays most of his game on flat pitches, conducive to his "batting" style and does well, doesn't make him anything more than a hack. Ditto for Warner and Rohit.
There was quite a bit there for the bowlers and Kane finished the game well. But I agree he needs more big knock, this knock was still clutch IMO.For a player of his quality he should have more than that. It was a clutch knock but it was chasing a low score,NZ bowlers played a bigger role than Kane in that game.

Guptill struggles in Test cricket, but he's proven himself against quality bowlers even when there's been a little bit there for the bowlers.

I've watched nearly every game Guptill has played, he's more than capable of scoring runs in LOI's when there's a bit there. It's Test cricket where he is completely hopeless, even then he has the odd innings where he has scored runs on a green top. There is a reason he struggles in test cricket and that reason is that he is a hack. He struggles in ODIs as well, when the ball moves around or turns off the pitch. Nothing wrong with it these days though, Pakistan would love to have a Guptill in their team.
Cricket in England is the worst.
Horrible weather and dull atmosphere... I wish every tournament was hosted in Aus or NZ.
And never give England the rights to an ICC event again..Scheduling for this tournament has been awful. Cricket really needs to start being played under a covered stadium.

England should be hosting ICC tournaments in July and August at the peak of the summer not early June.
Last June was the one of the wettest ever recorded.
Pakistan's tour of England in July and August last year was hardly affected by rain. Alternatively, schedule reserve days.
Mamoon Minus that 237 from total then what were his numbers I would like to know
And never give England the rights to an ICC event again..
A 237 in a World Cup quarterfinal is more than enough to override any failures in the rest of the tournament.
You didn't notice that I put something extra at the end....
By the way, 2006 as well - at Mohali. In fact, in ODI, since 1999 SF, I am not sure if PAK-NZ had faced each other outside these 3 matches.
OK I admit it was a quarter final but quality of bowling doesn't matter?
2011 World Cup?
A World Cup knockout has its own pressure.
The Kami special, how MMHS you can forget that.
WI in 2011 were a pretty solid side, it was definitely no walk over like you make it sound. But it was a home game still and remember what we did to same team in 2011 wc quarter, that's enough to show caliber of that team.
NZ is nowhere as bad and has every 5th or 6th game affected, and the matches that are rained out are mainly down to facilities. It seems like every 2nd game is affected in England which is asking for trouble when hosting ICC tournaments.Tbh, NZ isn't any better. Nor is WI.

IIRC they crushed Pakistan in the groups stages.
Honestly India, Australia and SA are the best places to host ICC tournaments.
2011 World Cup?
Yep.You mean 2015.
I wonder how the same fans defending England as a host will react if Pakistan-India is rained out.Don't understand the need behind a major tournament being held in a country where daily rainfall is the norm. I can still tolerate the Champions Trophy being a rain-affected affair however, England better start investing in some retractable-roof stadiums for the World Cup in 2019 because having the entire World Cup washed out would certainly be a pity.

English wickets are roads and every second game is rain affected.ENG is still great place for cricket, but rain indeed is a problem, though 4 WC's were not affected much there. Personally, I liked cricket in AUS most, but in recent days their wickets have gone to worst - in ENG, still one can get a bit of swing & spinners can turn a bit with flight; AUS is almost like glass top these days.
Yes - that makes it clean sweep in this millennium. Something not new to PAK cricket - it's glory ended in 1999 apart from that T20 WC. Even, if I make a PAK all-time XV for Test & ODI - probably only player that'll make the starting XI is someone debuted on March 2000. Something correlated with a decision of ECB (TCCB then) in mid 90s, more than anything else. Though, we have people here extremely proud of PCB's successful PSL .....
Any way - is there any chance of play today? If so, Will has done a fantastic jobof opting to bat first in a possible D/L situation.
India is the best place to host LOI cricket. Great crowds, good coverage, suitable weather for cricket (it does get very hot however) and reasonably well ambiance. The only problem is getting visas to watch a game.
At least they'll be something to watch in the highlights when you wake up in the morning.Yes let's host a tournament again in NZ where many parts of the world has to wake up in the middle in the night to follow the cricket.
