ICC CT 2017 : Group A - New Zealand [291] vs Australia [53/3] - No result

Stoinis is trash.

If he's useless for Victoria I hate to think how useless he'll be at the international level.

Did you watch his 100 in NZ earlier this year when he smoked dozen of sixes? He is a breathtaking player.

Both batsmen well set. I guess 350 is on the cards if they play well from here. 23 overs to go with 8 wkts in hand. 175 should be scored in these remaining 23 overs.

Bowlers with variations will do well. Swing/seam and express pace bowlers unlikely.

I think, still swing bowlers have a role in UK - today Boult & Southee should trouble AUS top order; though ICC is trying it's best to make sure that white Kookaburra doesn't swing much & the likes of Warners & Guptils can hit through the line with planted feet.

There's 19 overs left. Not 23.

They should reach 300+, current rate in 6.3 with 2 set batsmen & 8 wickets at hand. There is more likely around 150 more in last 18 overs, which is like a standard T20 score.

Kiwis will need 325+ here.

MMHS Even NZ have Ronchi, SL have Dickwella, BDD have got Sarkaar, Aus with Warner, SAF with De Kock, Both English openers are explosive.

And we have Azhar Ali, Shehzad and Hafeez.

Kiya zindagi hai.

With the way the Kiwis field, 300 is almost like 325.

So we were being told that this Aussie bowling line wipes the floor with everyone else LMAO

Capability is still there - but I am not sure about intention. Babar should play the Tamim role - anyone else should be monitored closely. PAK now has Hasan at No. 10 - top order doesn't need to worry about playing out 50 overs.

I am sure Azhar would be getting lots of stick if roles were reversed.

Ironically, Ross Taylor who supposed to be the "aggressor" is striking at 78.

If it wasn't for Ronchi's innings NZ would be doing as bad as Pak usually does. This is why Sharjeel was golden for our side.

300 seems the norm in this tournament, how will Pakistan cope?:21:

Looking at the pitch, 375 is a winning total and 350 is par.

Anything less than 330, Aus will stroll to Victory with ease.

This tournament is about batting powerhouses. You need 3 or 4 aggressive batsmen who can score at over 125 S/R on these pitches.

Hastings finally getting the treatment his rubbish bowling deserves.

Teams should go for 340 atleast.

On_the_up matter of one over and Kane bhai has increased his SR from 82 to 93

Pathetic innings by Taylor comes to an end. Extremely selfish batsman, whose strike rotation is as bad as some of the Pakistani batsmen.

Hastings gets another wicket. Taylor couldn't continue that way, and in the end he's gone.

Taylor is one of the cleanest strikers in the game, but also one of the most selfish. He is fully capable of playing high-impact knocks, but he loves his milestones too much. Wonderful to see him miss out on a fifty today.

Not having a quality spinner is also hurting AUS, there has to be variety in the attack. A spinner who can take tickets, spin the ball is important in middle overs. SA has Tahir, India has Ashwin and Jadaja. Pakistan must play Shadab, he is developing to be that spinner, that will be controlling the game in middle over. Immad is not going to worry quality team, much.

Should have brought Anderson in here. Broom hasn't looked convincing at international level so far. Let's see how he does today.

Ken has to stay till end now, otherwise it'll end like yesterday, when we lost both set batsman in 2 balls.

If Flat Track Bully gets going, this will be over for New Zealand quickly. Ronchi's wicket was untimely, Williamson's lack of power and Taylor's selfishness was always going to bring the RR down.

NZ has used Ranchi as pinch hitter in this tournament and it has worked so far. Pakistan can use some out of the box thinking as well, let some body(Immad, Shadab,Hassan,Rahim) go at the top. No point of playing TTFs at top.

Starc is bowling some beautiful yorkers.I hope Hassan,Junaid and Amir also bowl some toe-crushing yorkers.

Might not work - all 4 are predominantly front foot player. Apart from Sharjeel, only Akmal brothers had the capacity of hitting on back-foot

Micky Arthur at the ground keeping a close eye on how the pitch plays ahead of trashing India on Sunday InshAllah :inzi

7 Overs & 7 wickets left, Kiwis should reach close to 325

NZ will have runs added.

Our middle order is going to cost us.

Broom isn't international level and Taylor is too slow to get going.

Pathetic from NZ here.

Broom is struggling. Now he is gone.

Neesham is an accumulator.

NZ needs Anderson's magic. Otherwise, they will lose this badly.

That's why dropping Kamran and picking Azhar (both old) did not made sense. ICC tournaments are played on roads, where as WI series was played on low and slow surfaces, Kamran would have feasted here on top and Umar at tail end, Pakistan would be missing Akmals at both end :(

I think Fahim can play on the blackfoot, but others it would be tough.

Messed up sending Broom in ahead of Anderson and Neesham.

I would gone Neesham, Anderson and then Southee tbh.

It's a 46 over game and we're going to get runs added.
