ICC CT 2017 | India [193/2] beat South Africa [191] by 8 wickets to qualify for the semi-finals

Guys don't believe Junaids ! I just took a picture of him watching the Champions Trophy game between India and SA:

Good one, don't think his reaction is right when India doing well. May be worried look would have been more convincing though LOL.

India seems to have found a really good formula for modern ODI's:

Steady openers
Explosive middle-order
Lower middle-order which can bat
Accurate trundlers to bowl

It shows just how far Test and ODI cricket have become separated. A bowling attack which would go for 600+ at this ground in a Test can keep the score down low enough for the batsmen to pick it off with ease.

The handicaps which are liabilities in one format are actually positive attributes in another.

Rile 'em up like there's no tomorrow. Kudos to you sir..

watching bumrah closely for the first time ..hhis action loooks dodgy..

First time I've ever watched him bowl.

He's not a chucker - the problem is the clownlike rotation of his arm, but it's fully extended while he does it.

He's clean, but he's rubbish.

Spot on.

With this attitude South Africa should not play any ICC event. South Africa badly needs a psychologist rather than any coaching staffs

He will be a Sir Sohail Tanvir like bowler.

England too. A bowling attack which got smashed for 700+ in tests when in India is actually restricting Australia to less than 300 in this CT. Your trundlers are accurate enough for ODIs I guess.

A perfect answer to all those who raised fingers on Indian bowling during the srilanka match. :))

Can you please start a thread where we can discuss his bowling action and your analysis please?!

Sa looking good to get to 200 and get that mental advantage.

Not even 200, shocking. I mean I know we did the same lol, but our batsmen aren't as good as SA and we lost early wickets, while SA didn't.

SA are probably the most Overrated team in the history of cricket.....Can't win a pressure game to save their lives

Need to get them out inside 200. Will be fourth time v have got all out opposition in 5 matches in CT including warm up matches.

Mate it's getting boring .. stop hating everything about India. Just enjoy the beautiful game we all love !

India still have to bat vs Tahir, Rabada and Morkel. TahirFan says Phehlukwayo is supposedly faster than Rabada and has great variations. Only if South Africa can manage another 30 runs here, it should be a contest. Even the psychological factor of the chase being bigger than 200 should play a huge role.

I realised that in the last game it self when they lost to 8th ranked pakistan

Fail Logic, previous match was as pressure free as possible mate....Already got a win in the tournament playing against 8th ranked team. Pakistan just bowled out of their skins to make them change their approach....

Over here the collapse started from two of the most bizarre and stupid piece of running I've seen in a while.....Reminded me of that infamous 1999 Semi Final :)) :))

I realized that about India in 2012 that they either can win matches in ICC tournuments where things can be handlled well by ICC management or on their homesoil against non Asian teams. ;-)

Nope, I meant the overrated part, we all already know how they do under pressure, but losing to a 8th ranked side made me realise that they are way overrated :srini

To be honest, SAF doesn't deserve No. 1 status. That ranking system has to factor ICC events - this is not fair that a dead rubber & a WC final is worth equal points against same opponent.

Phehlukwayo is rubbish. But I guess he's better than Parnell who got hammered by our bats last World Cup. No way is Phehlukwayo faster than Rabada though. His fastest is around 140.

What an anticlimax....

Started well... then collapsed completely... Suicidal running between the wickets.

Your realization was wrong though, since we won the 2013 champions trophy in england :srini

What an anti-climax.
3.5 runs an over to win. 3 run outs. Shambles.

Embarrassing effort by SA today. Completely crumbled under the pressure of a big game.

India clutch as ever.

Barring Rabada bowling the spell of his life, it's all over.

Imagine the scenes if India lose this from here though. Houses will be stoned!
