Right now we seem to have three bowlers who can be trusted to bowl 4 excellent overs: Haris, Shadab and Nawaz. The other three are unreliable because of form and fitness issues so we have to play all of them against India.

It’s incredibly frustrating that we took both to the WC even though we had the option to swap out players up till the 15th of October for last minute changes.

I read in another thread that Ramiz MET with Babar to finalize the squad before the deadline as well… how on earth did they come to the conclusion that both these guys, Shan and Khushdil, deserve to go to Australia…. Mind boggling stuff.

We struggle to finish teams off after having them on the ropes. Both afg today and SL in Asia cup final were down 6 wickets before reaching 100 runs, one of them ended up at 170+ by the end and the other is at 147 and going…

Yes it’s a warmup, but the we’re playing this one seems to be as a regular game…

Swing is the only way you can contain batsmen from Australia, ENgland. This alternating between fast ball and slow ball will work some time. Won't work all the time. Batsmen will be ready if they know ball is going to be gun barrel straight.

Pakistan's death bowling is horrible. We saw the bowlers get smashed by India, Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup, England and now Afghanistan today.

I think there's a strong case to bowl Afridi out up front. His second spell is very ordinary and between and Harris and Naseem, we won't be worse off in the death overs.
