So here we are!

Wonder how seriously England will treat this but am guessing Pakistan will be keen to see how SSA performs.

Should be televised on Sky Sports as it’s an England game

Will be telecaster in Pakistan :snack:

Interesting to see how RizBar performs on a Gabba wicket

Is Fakhar playing ?

No.

I think ICC decides which teams play warm up matches.I could be wrong. Why is Pakistan
playing a warm up match with Afghanistan?.

No.

Got it! This means Shan is playing Oct-23rd game

One thing for sure as a batsman you have to be brave on these wickets and as a bowler get your lengths right otherwise :mj

As long as it’s a quality side, it’s all good. These are the batsmen our bowlers should worry about the most other than the Aussies, Indians and Miller + Russow.

Plus a nice and easy halwa attack minus Wood to get our batsmen’s confidence up and running.

Not good at all. Still can’t believe PCB had zero foresight to have Shan’s replacement arranged knowing Fakhar isn’t fully fit yet.

How stupid can you be in seeing this after last series that Shan is not good enough. Could’ve easily gotten any other batsmen to replace him before the Oct 15 deadline.

Do Pakistan has natural stroke players apart from Babar I can't see anyone, would be very tough

icc. They cant have warm up matches in same group.

Match: England won the toss and elected to bowl

Will Shan and Haris open then? will be alot of short pitched balls here

So wishes of many posters answered today, hopefully less rona dhona if Teams does nit score much. Interesting to see who will take the responsibilty of big inning today.

Lol they are showing Adil Rasheed in Pakistan squad :)))

So the stats don’t count, hence we see some players being rested

Yep

Play 99.9% of your games in the build up to this with one strategy

Now blame them if they fail on the 11th hour and that too in a friendly

I think the goat the legend khushdil Shah will show his talent today and will smash 20 ball fifty.

ICC showing:

England rested all of its key players in the Pakistan series

Pakistan resting it’s key players on the eve of the tournament :))

Why would you rest when these are the only games in these conditions you get to play.

Man is lifting the ball over the infield

I don’t think I have seen this for 2 years by Pakistani openers

haider playing the short ball much better than the series in pak. Clearly been working with yousuf on footwork. He’s moving back and across quite well

Stokes got away with 2 no balls , otherwise the opening over would had cost even more. Good of Pakistan to try Shan as opener to look at this option and hopefully drop Babar to one down.

Pakistan finally playing the powerplay as it should be played

If we're opening with these guys, having these guys now makes sense. Otherwise, why are Riz and Babar not playing? They haven't played in Australia for a couple of years now. :rohit
