Can someone tells me how is pitch behaving right now .... Seems flat in somehow with small swing....right length is the key imo

It's crazy. When Saud starts smashing it they suddenly remember there is bad light. Shouldn't it be the other away around? Or is it dangerous for the bowlers as well?

Mate some people come here to have a fun time and watch cricket with other fans not to prove they are cricket geniuses so what if I got it wrong?

Another one of mamoons fake account lol

Never said you got anything wrong I just gave my opinion that its unlikely they’re getting through 20 over together. Not did I claim to be a cricketing genius.

so we live to fight another day, it's still 60-40 south Africa at this point I think , if pak can touch that magical 300 in 2nd dig , they will be more likely to win i think on late day 3 early day 4 pitch, but if target is anything under 200 saf will be ml favorites to win it. 150 target is absolute minimum. let's see.

Game on! If Pakistan can set a target of 250, we can't write off anyone at this moment.
Not with the way Shan captained in first inning, bowling bowlers at wrong time. Did not try spin till it was too late. Besides Pakistan will not be able to get 250 lead with 3 out. At best 150.

Bosch FC high score is 69 and here he is scoring an unbeaten 81 against Pakistan. His domestic bowling numbers are rubbish too and yet Pakistan have made him look like an all-time great allrounder on debut.

As always, Pakistan seem to lose the plot in SA. Had them down 213-8 and let them pile up a whopping 88 runs for the last two wickets. Pakistan close the day themselves with 88 runs having lost 3 wickets. Should have picked up the last two wickets sooner and then you go into day 3 with a lead and a lot closer to setting a 250 target or so. They're still in the game but barely. Knowing Pakistan, they'll collapse tomorrow and SA will get an easy win tomorrow.

I hope one day my sons can witness Pakistan win a series in SA and Australia.

What else pak could have done they got 8 wickets by bowling well so it just that guy came out swinging his bat got lucky aswell how is that pak bowlers fault who bowled brilliantly all inning?

Pakistan in effect are 0/3 in their 2nd innings. They need around 200 to have a chance to win the test.

SA batting is not that good. Too many weaklings in the lineup. Its 60-40 advantage SA at this point. Pak needs one big partnership and SA will crumble.

70/30.

Pakistan is cooked unless we get a big big partnership.

Pakistan don't do big partnerships in SA or Australia.

Because he knows that agha is the secret weapon. He will bowl like murali in the fourth innings. Just doesn’t want to kill the element of surprise. He’s a genius really.

Because Shan didn’t watch the ODI matches where Bosch was completely at sea against spin early on. He should have introduced spin earlier.

A couple of 50's from Babar/Rizwan/Agha and a cameo from Jamal could potentially make Pakistan set a target of 175-200 for SA to chase. Anything can happen after that.
4th innings chases are always crazy. If Pak can get a couple of early wickets with the new ball, I don't trust SA batting at all.

True but from experience I've learnt Pakistan batting in 3rd innings is always awful. I'd imagine at best we will reach 200 to 220 here.

If Pakistan can only score 200, it means they will only add 110 more runs from here. That requires a big collapse.

If there is no collapse, Pak can 150-175 from here minimum. So Pakistan will have a chance to bowl at something to defend. Its not all doom and gloom.

Ten wickets fall on day two as Centurion Test hangs in balance

Pakistan were trailing by two runs with seven second innings wickets in hand against South Africa at the close of day two at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.

Starting their second innings with a 90-run deficit, the tourists lost both their opening batters Shan Masood (28, 47b, 4x4s) and Saim Ayub (28, 36b, 6x4s) with 70 runs on the board. Kamran Ghulam (4, 8b), the first innings top run-getter was the next batter to return back to the pavilion with 74 runs on the board.

At stumps, Pakistan were 88 for three in 22 overs with Babar Azam (16 not out, 34b, 2x4s) and Saud Shakeel (8 not out, 8b, 2x4s) returning undefeated.

Earlier, resuming their first innings at the overnight score of 82 for three in 22 overs, South Africa managed to score 301, taking a 90-run first innings lead. Opening batter Aiden Markram top-scored for the hosts with a 144-ball 89, which included 15 boundaries.

When right-hand batter Markram was dismissed, South Africa were leading by two runs, but debutant Corbin Bosch had other plans, as he knitted a 41-run partnership for the ninth wicket with Kagiso Rabada (13, 15b, 1x4) and later added 47 runs for the tenth wicket with Dane Paterson (12, 16b, 1x4, 1x6) to give South Africa a handy lead.

Bosch returned undefeated on 81 off 93 balls, hitting 15 fours.

For Pakistan, Khurram Shahzad and Naseem Shah bagged three wickets apiece, while Aamir Jamal took two wickets. Mohammad Abbas and Saim Ayub snapped a wicket each.

Scores in brief:

Pakistan 211 all out, 57.3 overs (Kamran Ghulam 54, Aamir Jamal 28, Mohammad Rizwan 27; Dane Peterson 5-61, Corbin Bosch 4-63) and 88-3, 22 overs (Saim Ayub 28, Shan Masood 28, Babar Azam 16 not out; Marco Jansen 2-17)

South Africa 301 all out, 73.4 overs (Aiden Markram 89, Corbin Bosch 81 not out, Temba Bavuma 31, David Bedingham 30; Khurram Shahzad 3-75, Naseem Shah 3-92, Aamir Jamal 2-36)

Alot of the old processes or whatever need to be revisited

The problem is that teams batting under lights would complain of an unfair advantage to the opposition.

It's a tough one. You can't have these archaic rules in a format that's no longer as popular as it once was.

I think if both teams are in agreement then they should go ahead with it. Some of the rules don't need to so set in stone.

Naseem Shah in Post-Day 2 press conference of the First Test between South Africa and Pakistan:

"Look, in Test cricket, these things happen. Sometimes, they get going and score runs. That allrounder [Corbin Bosch] played really well. It was frustrating for us because as a bowling unit, you’re always thinking that with nine wickets down, you’re almost there, but suddenly they start playing well."

"It was frustrating, but as a bowler, you just need to bowl in the right areas and give your best to get the batter out."

"Yesterday, there was a lot of moisture in the pitch because it was a fresh pitch. Today, it was balanced, offering something for both the batters and bowlers. It's all about discipline. As a bowler, you need to feel the wicket, use its help, and always bowl with discipline. Even if the pitch is offering assistance, if you bowl wide or erratically, you’ll still concede runs."

"Test cricket is all about physical and mental endurance. I believe that as a fast bowler, you must be ready to bowl whenever the team needs you. You have to stay prepared. I always make sure to work hard, bowl more in the nets, and keep improving, even in domestic cricket. Fast bowling is not easy, but you have to be prepared for it."

"I’ve heard a lot about this pitch and how it changes its behavior. Every day, it feels different. So, I believe that over the next couple of days, the pitch might behave differently, or maybe South Africa will see changes too, I don’t know. But today, especially in the last session, the pitch was behaving in different ways—sometimes the ball was kicking up, and other times it was slow."

Pakistan have missed a tall pacer on this wicket. Someone who could get that extra lift from short of a good length which is what Jansen did against Masood and Ghulam.
