Pakistan reach 64/3 in reply to South Africa's 615 at the end of Day 2 of the second Test, trailing by 551 runs

I never mind losing but I can never forget lack of effort or application.

That's why my favorite players are always those who are limited in talent or have less talent than their contemporaries but have the fighting spirit in them.

This is lack of fight both when bowling & now batting. Unforgivable.
 
Phainty of epic proportions. It's what they deserve for becoming too comfortable after a close loss and thinking they can turn up with the same approach on a different surface.

Not enough jobless Indians watch. Neither does Pakistan compete. Only bring financial losses for CSA.

Test cricket is on its way out. No need to mollycoddle it.
 
Pakistani batters looking to play every delivery and put bat to ball on every delivery outside offstump which has been their downfall. You need to see off the new ball here against this bowling attack.
 
Genuinely hope Rizwan and Babar are able to form a partnership here. Red to see some fight from Pakistan and more importantly need to see these two playing for their legacies. Too hurt seeing whatever happened with Rohit and Kohli as a genuine fan of the game. The game needs its stars and for cricket , especially test cricket to thrive in Pakistan and for young kids to take up batting seriously these two must score some runs. Millions of kids in Pakistan look up to these two.

Not easy against a quality pace attack like this at their home.

Wishing them the best. Runs in these occasions make you great batters.

Same feeling seeing them bat. Too much white ball cricket influence.
 
Babar as a Test batter is very similar to Ravindra Jadeja.

Peak Babar played knocks similar to peak Jadeja.

Current Babar bats like current Jadeja.

Mental Fragility and unclear game plan, game awareness. Shan and Saud don't play enough white ball cricket.
 
How many times will this team leave a mess and expect RizBar to sort out.

Just imagine pakistan conceded the above 600 runs against weakest South Africa batting line up in the history so how pathetic is Pakistan bowling .

Now on same pitch where every saffers batsman were looking to score big runs while pakistan batters are batting like a Tailenders.

Can’t help but feel annoyed at Pakistan team not being 1-0 up in this series. They had that match for the taking and let it slip.

At just 18 years old, Mapakha is making his Test debut, having played only three first-class matches. If he were Pakistani, he might have been made to play first-class cricket for 10–15 years before selection, potentially wasting his talent. Credit to South Africa for trusting and backing a naturally talented player.

This "pop gun" attack brought you within touching distance of winning Test matches in Australia and South Africa—if only your batting and fielding had held up.

You’ve been repeatedly asked for solutions:

Who are the 140+ KPH bowlers with control and variation that we didn’t select? Predictably, you’ve ignored this question because you don’t have any answers. Instead, you’re just venting your frustration.

Fixating on the speed gun for two overs of cheap thrills isn’t a solution. It never has been, and it never will be.
 
Last time a team made 600 plus at newlands was SA. SA made 627/7 in response to England's 629/6. Stokes made 258 not out. Amla 201. One common thing between this match and that match is Bavuma scored a 100 in both matches.
 
Nicely put away by Babar for four. There are no real demons on this pitch, he needs to trust his abilities.

That is selective reporting. There is also a middle ground of 2-3 FC seasons. Most of SA pacers debuted after playing a few seasons.

Pakistan has debuted many youngsters with the same approach only to see them fail again and again. Solutions are not adopting extremes.

Like I said if you can't field a proper pace attack then play spinners. I took one look at this trundler lineup and knew 500 was on the cards.

This spanking should serve as a lesson.

6ft+, 135k+ is the minimum standard for a front line pacer.

What about the previous Test matches? Why cherry-pick lessons? You nearly won a Test match with so-called "shorties."

This isn’t just a ridiculous criterion—it’s completely impractical. Why stop here? Why not demand 7”-tall bowlers clocking 155+ KPH? Making arbitrary criteria on paper doesn’t solve anything.

The real challenge is making tough trade-offs based on the options in front of you.

If you have a 140+ KPH pacer with control and variation, play them. Otherwise, you and your buddy @TheSultan are stuck in a fantasy world.

In countries as a youngster they won't even push you to be pace bowler If your not 6ft plus how come none of those countries have midgets as pace bowlers how many 5.6 ft 5.7ft aussie , English, south africa , new Zealand West indies fast bowlers do you see.

Only in pakistan recently we have seen this of podgy stocky trundlers .

None of our fast bowlers look like athletes they look like club level players and taxi drivers and that's the truth that jamal guy was an uber driver

3.6m Indians watched this test (total views not live numbers). But still those are mad numbers. I wonder if SA have those numbers on their broadcasts. We are a cricket mad country :dhoni

The bowlers and batters both don’t have any patience.
While bowling, everyone bowled trash bar Abbas. No consistency in line and length.

While batting, everyone poking at everything.
 
Haven't watched Babar in a long time. Before those two boundaries he was chatting with the keeper or someone behind and it is the most relaxed I've seen him.

Our comparison can be made with our south Asian neighbors who seem to be doing just fine.
How does Shami look? How tall is he? How tall are Siraj and Bumrah?

Again stop obsessing over non sense.

While height is an advantage, there is no substitute for control and variation.
