Why does sa need a t20 practice matches as they were playing a month ago in india only.I see rest of the good teams skipping it happily.

We also played warm up against SA in Mumbai during 2016 WT20. I remember it coz I attended that game.

Just hope we dont get knocked out in Semi's this time as well

Only England and Sri Lanka are skipping the official warmups because they are playing a 3 match series starting today.

My main concern for both teams is that they are playing a match on jan31 and again a warm up on Feb 4.its a real screw jack kind of stuff than taking rest.on top of it ,Sa has to travel and play. Its not a test match to adjust. Both have easy matches as first fixture.

India also doens't need to play warm-up fixture as we are currently playing the T20 series. .. maybe we can play Tilak, Axar in warm-up game to check their fitness.

Which teams? England and SL are playing the last match on the 3rd

Yeah the travel will be tough. But teams can still opt out of these warm ups if they want to
