India 112/4 28 ovs

falling apart a bit now im afraid. Could see 300 yet

The Irish team had a great attitude at the start and were very chirpy and busy in the field which was good to see. Also bowled with a lot of discipline as well. Now they've become a bit sloppy and the batsmen are pinching a lot of twos. The leggie bowled a few good balls but lacks control.

True, but he is only 15 to be fair. Should have had the key wicket too

Having good coaches, consistent practice and the confidence of earning a career through cricket is the difference between the associates and the icc members. Give us some money you paindus

Is the Canadian cricket association similar to the USA one where they ate all the money?

Happy to see these Irish kids are playing good cricket. I am sure Aussie kids were disappointed for not taking part in the world cup. Many of them may never get chance to play in the big tournament like world cup. Bunch of dumb official robs their dream!

No the US team is horrible on another level, like their talents are spread out and lack talents and structural leagues like here. US is also fairly assimilated, due to people living all over US unlike 3-4 cities in Canada, people become more western and interest in cricket is nearly zero there. They always send Canadian u-23 players when it comes to facing USA and USA gets pounded like no tomorrow. In Canada, we actually have proper structures and everything. Most of the Canadian players under 25 are born in Canada or came here when they were 5-6. The players communicate in English when practicing, only the couple of 30 year olds speak Hindi some times. Canada has talents but suffers from poor selection, selectors are part of the top 4-5 clubs in Toronto, they are very competitive teams and they tend to select players from those teams. Canadian players used to tour other countries often, play wc qualifiers that affected many married players who have day jobs, so players like Ashish Bagai quit prematurely. Many good players make themselves "unavailable" for selection due to jobs. No money from sports canada, we had a conservative government that was indirectly racist, new government, new PM, pretty cool guy too. Let see if things change.

In Canada cricket can never be that popular.

I don't think cricket will get popular ever in Canada, USA, etc. other than among the immigrant population.

The ICC would be better off concentrating on the likes of Ireland, Afghanistan, Nepal, etc. where there is a great potential for growth.

Wonderful to see excellent talent coming through Ireland. Just hope England doesn't poach them..

Is there any interest among the natives there?
