They will reach 200 around 36-37 overs. Then they can scored 115 -20 in last 13 over .but wicket in hand is most important things
 
Key here is Liton here - unless he gets a hundred, I doubt they can play out 50 overs.

Why these idiots talking about hitting boundaries!!! 60 of next 13 without any boundaries & wickets take it to 175/2 in 35. India will have to makeup 9 overs here.

Ability to hit in back end with 5 fielders outside is also a requirement. In this world cup Lot of teams fell away after 40th over

Sirah has been woeful this tournament. 50 average
Worst bower amongst big sides in this WC.

Poor bowling. Expected much better from a quality pacer.
 
I think new ball will seem here a bit under lights, then dew takes over. Whatever score they post, need to get Kohli out inside 10 overs (that’s minimum 2 down)
 
And hardiness career should be limited to t20. Fragile player. Such players should quit odi and tests and just play t20. They don't add much if they are injured all the time.

Kohli is nothing special outside flat pitches. He is old now. On turners he will dance to the nee nachele.

On swing friendly conditions s he would do the bharatyanatium.

Flat low bounce or high bounce he would be good.
 
If Pandya is injured India for long India will be forced to play Shami/Prasiddh + a pure batsman (Sky). Thakur & Pandya will be replaced by Shami & Sky respectively. (This way at least we will get rid of Thakur which is somewhat good! Though Pandya brings his own balance & flexibility to the team, he also has induced a spot for Thakur in the team!) This may give only 5 bowling options but they all can fill up 50 overs.
 
Siraj is more effective with old ball. Ball just zips through. One of those guys who loses very little off the surface.

Who said that? There is a misconception among most Pakistanis- Indian & Hindu are synonymous. It’s not - there are many Hindus in BD, SRL, even Myanmar. And, Nepal has 90%+ Hindu majority.
 
This lankan coach makes me so angry! Seriously. Whats the stupid thing to keep Mushfiq so late when u will be 4-5 down and many easy wickets in the top4? Finisher? Wth! Miraz is never number 4. He is a lower order batsman who can open at time quick hits!

Once pant returns and we all know how good pant is. Imo he is easily the best player in the world in test cricket. I rate hi extremely high. Better than rohit Gill kohli easily.

Pure match winner.
Does the great pant start as keeper in tests and odi? Or does Rahul continue to be the keeper batsman and will pant just operate purely as a batsman?
 
BD batting order is completely effed up. Mushfiq should be batting 4!!! Settle the freaking collapse steady the batting. Miraz, shanto atm are walking wickets in the top 4. Shanto is a mental midget who had a purpl e patch recently
 
India in future should build team with batsman who can bowl a bit like Yuvaraj, Raina, Sehwag... Tilak Varma is one such guy. Also we should mix left handers in the team. Tilak Varma serves both the purpose. Unfortunately we didn't get enough time to groom him up before this tournament.

Shreyas Iyer & Virat Kohli could have taken their bowling seriously. But problem is they were more worried about their batting forms & injuries (Iyer)
 
Excellent comeback by India. One thing I have seen in this WC, those who attack in first 20 overs are able to put respectable totals. Batting becomes bit difficult after 20th over in 1st innings.
 
Mehidy Hasan Miraz is gone as well for 3 off 13 balls. India has their 3rd wicket. 129/3 now

India will need workload management so everyone has a place. They are not going to play same XI every series

Physically he might recover, but mentally will be the same chap??

He will play test even as a pure batter.

He will have to get in line for ODI's and T20s though. He wasn't incumbent there anyway.

When Pant returns he will fit in as keeper while Shreyas will miss out just like how the team composition was until Pant's accident.

It's really sad to see him suffer as I am a big fan of pant. He would be a huge miss if he doesn't return to become the same player he was prior to injury. I really hope for all cricket fans across the globe that he returns to his best.

What a phenomenal player he is. On thr way to becoming an ATG. It would be cruel to see him decline due to injuries at such a young age.

Sane way I feel about shaheen right now. Pant obviously on another level though.

Bigger question is can he return, if so when, and if he does eventually how effective will he be! We might have unfortunately lost the "player" (kind of player) in him forever! Such serious injury (or rather accident) can damage anyone physically! Yes "physical" apsect is also important for a player what he had possessed! We are only happy for his life/survival as an individual/human!

If that inclident had'nt happened I am sure he would have been the first choice keeper for this tournament and a key player in the lineup giving ultra-balance to the team...

So Bangladesh can take advantage of one less fielder out side the circle from 47 to 50 over.

Bashing coach isn’t going to help -
Batting high in the order is a privilege. What forced Tanzid, Shanto & Miraz to gift 3 wickets here? India is one bowler short & two set batsmen taking it to 94/0 in 14…… then gifted : wickets to zero percent shot - maximum Tanzid or Miraz would have got is a single (Miraz probably would have got a wide).

These are T20 players - happy with cute 35s.

If that injury dint happen he was on the way to becoming the best player of this generation. That's how good he is/was.

I still feel india should have played pant more often In odi too. A player of his quality should never be benched. He just needs to be given a specific role.

You are right he has disconcerting bounce but problem is that he is one dimension bowler, He don't posses even basic death bowling skill

I think They are using Rahim as an insurance in the back end just in case there is a collapse up the order.
 
Mushfiq plays spin so well. Most technical batsman batting at 6 it’s like the late 2000s days where mushy shakib batted low mid. Haturu is a brainless guy. Middle overs India will bowl lots spin. Miraz is a total waste at 4!!
