ICC World Cup 2023: India (261/3) remain unbeaten as they defeat Bangladesh (256/8) by 7 wickets

What a promising opening partnership to this disaster! All thanks to Haturusinghe batting order.
 
It's good if India wins. Keeps Pakistan in the hut fir the semi final spot.

Let NZ and India dominate with full points for now. We'll see what happens when we reach semi's
 
250-270 is not going to cause too much problems to India especially with Bangladesh bowling attack... But if Bangladesh think smart and work their way through (with Pandya out - India one batsman less) and concentrate at weaknesses of other batsmen, then they can win it...

Don't underestimate Bangladesh attack . They have quality

Bangladesh started off well but middle-order was garbage.

Then again, India have some great spinners. They slowed things down.
 
BD should try to reach 260. That is not enough but it can give bowlers something to work on.
 
That's why Bumrah is so crucial... He can come during 30 to 45 overs and take away some key wickets. This will make a huge difference and opponents end of not scoring 300 or even 250... Of course he is aided by other bowlers also (Kuldeep to large extent and even Pandya/Siraj to some extent). So bowling unit (and variety) is very very important something which teams like England should understand... You can't just stack your team with blistering batsmen....
 
That shot was timed really well. Fielder was there. Credit to bowler for forcing him to play that shot straight tot he fielder. Perfectly executed.

You don’t know bro - I know a little about our batting. If they are put higher & get out quickly, playing out 35 overs will be challenging. Today, from 94/0 (14) to 200/6 & I am pretty sure they don’t play out 50 overs, neither reach 250. That’s not because Mushi is batting lower.

In a cricket note, at official 36/37, they won’t last long if they are to face new ball regularly. For record, 4 players in past by the age of 35/36 moved down to 5 or lower, namely - Viv Richards, Greg Chappell, Javed Miandad & Allen Border.

Batting order hardly matters if your top order doesn’t make the start count. Mushi batting at 6 should give Liton more leverage to convert a hundred after that start, not other way.

I am tired of watching Pakistan and Bangladesh batting it's quite monotonous they don't have player who have flair, All are below par Batsman except Fakhar and Litton das some extent everything else seems like they are player from 90's generation.

But If they have an off will overrated indian batsmen step up in Ko stages? Pressure makes them quiver. That will be the question mark.

Also look now hardik is injured. Fragile useless player. Such players should be discarded. No matter what their talent may suggest, if you aren't playing then you are excess baggage.

Wonder whom india will replace him with. Will it be axar if he is back or will it be sundar or? They don't have any other pace all rounder if I am correct.

Lol what go look at bumrah thread. I have been praising him for a while now. He is on the way to becoming an ATG.

Great field placement by Rohit .he know the edge may take so third man was very fine .
 
7 over just 23 Run in flat pattas where 350 is par in this generation he has 4.6 average ,Just a absolutely top tier fast bowler , Greatest along with Wasim Akram from subcontient.
It's frightening to imagine what would he have done in 90's with reverse swing ,just one ball and balanced pitches.

Indian bowlers have been good for a while now. It's their overrated batsmen that never deliver in Ko stages since 2013. In odi.
 
They started like they were going to get 300. Now it is not a possibility. They can get to 250 still by targetting one or two overs.

Even 280 Wont be enough Indian batting strong but at least get 250 make a match. Really annoyed with BD middle order which is nonexistent.
