Tbh, I'd rather face Pak than NZ. From the current teams in contention, this is the order most Indians would want to face in semis.

Afg>Pak>NZ>SA>Aus

I don't believe the cornered tigers, Qudrat ka Nizam, etc etc... If one believes on such things then it means they don't believe in the team but rather on some fairytale. It's not like pak beat an in form Australia or they're on a 3 match winning streak.

Let's take 1 step at a time. If they consistently perform well from here then they obviously deserve the title.

SA have done a huge favour to Pakistan here. Now Pakistan need to win authoritatively against NZ as well.

If rassie was not given out which was very very marginal to put it lightly, then Shamsi wouldn't have even come out to bat most probably. Match would've ended much earlier.

These umpires calls can go either way, it feels terrible I agree.. But that's how it is. The Rassie decision was conveniently ignored by many because it went in pak's favour and it didn't happen at a crucial point in time like Shamsi's did.
 
NZ has Pak and SL in the remaining matches.
Pak has NZ and Eng in the remaining matches.

This will go down till the last match to see who gets the 4th spot.

After 2 games a piece, 4th spot was for Aus/Pak and Ind/SA/NZ taken the other three, now into the 7th round and 4th Spot is between NZ/Pak/Afg while Aus/Ind/SA had other 3, well Afg is yet to play Aus, wondering how that game will go. In reality only SA/Ind have booked their post, other two could go to anyone.

There's a reason their team performs the way it does. No empathy. If only they won 6 out of 6, imagine the comments and responses. Whereas even after winning 6 out of 6, most of them will rate our team somewhat lower and will point out a gazillion chinks.
 
As I said before NZ will not come close to even 300. Guys underestimate the pressure of a chase in a WC especially at the back end qualification stage..
 
They were targetting 320. They got 358 lol That is something. Superb show by SA. By far the best team apart from one aberration
 
India are a top team and favs alongside Sa to win the whole thing
but crazy things have happend when indian fans get too arrogant and degrade other teams. thinking they are unbeatable if rohit and kohli fail

If Nawaz had not bottled it against SA and if we got the final wicket, Pakistan would have been at 8 points now. This serial choker and mental midget should never be selected for Pakistan again.

SA is terrific. But the 2 times they chased, they looked like bunnies. The pitches will also progressively get tired, worn down as tournament progresses. If they happen to chase in a ko on such pitches, it'll be interesting.

At this stage only Ind and SA are confirmed for sf. And Aus pretty sure as well- they should easily win atleast one of their eng bd afg games...

Tbh every subcontinent team and fans do it when they have the upperhand and bragging rights. Worse, Shaheen even imitated Rohit, Rahul and Kohli's dismissals in 2021 wt20 when fans in stadium encouraged him. Kohli/Shami were chanted with "Baap kon hai" chants after CT17 finals.

Speaking of Indian fans, most fear the ko's now. I'm sure the team is wary of it too, after repeated failures in ko's. Don't trust what the team/fans say to media/social media because everyone is anxious with ko's.

Relax bro, the cornered tigers comment was meant to be tongue in cheek...sort of. But Pakistan is a roller coaster team, when they get on a roll they can become a different beast so there will always be that niggle in the back of your mind...
 
I've read a few posts in the forum at the start of the WC that this will be a win toss, bowl first and win game kind of tournament. They badly wanted to brand this as a toss WC, alas this isn't a evening T20 game in the stupid dubai cricket stadium.
 
Markram, Klassen, QDK, Miller their experience in IPL give them a massive edge. The way QDK uses the dimensions of various grounds can tell you how much he is used to Indian grounds. All 4 of them have done well recently in the IPL compared to Indian counter parts.

Pakistan or Afghans deserve to play in the semis ahead of New zealand, who are a boring side.
An India vs Pak semi and a SA vs Aus semi will make it a perfect semi final package

Actually SA should have walked towards the target easily. They got out to some nothing deliveries needlessly. They will do a better job next time chasing. I don't think it is an issue SA has to worry about.
